If I wanna use my insurance is it OK to be rooted or do I need to unroot

It shouldn't make any difference. However, unrooting won't hurt.

Well, Duh lol
I'm saying What if damaged or what not?
If you damage your phone and ask for a replacement, you get a refurbished phone. The refurbished phone will not have root access. You will have to root it.

Hi, I have my gear rooted and installed recovery but unfortunately I have to return my gear for replacement (dead pixels on the screen) , so I just want to ask how can I return my gear to bare stock with no traces of it being rooted. I also updated it to mk7 uk version through odin and im in US. Thanks in advance.

It dosent matter if its rooted on sprint network. They have a new policy. Have to take it back rooted or not. There police is now to take rooted devices and flash back to stock then begin there evaluation and repair.

You are given a refurbished phone this basically means that the internal are used but working properly, and the outer shell is new...no scratches no marks

I rooted an ATT Note 3 but I need to put a SIM from T-mobile and now Note 3 is asking for an unlocking PIN... Am I missing something? I thought once you rooted the phone you can use it on any network that take sims card...
or has this change?
please would some one lead me to the right direction for the love of god?
No I think there was a way to do this on an early build... You need to use an unlocking service should cost around 30

Rooting does not network unlock the phone. Whoever or wherever you got that idea from is very, very wrong.

Just use chainfire region unlock away app.
That only works on MI9 firmware.

I did regionlockaway on my MJ5 ATT rooted Note 3 and it did not work, it shows rooted but I need to use it on t-mobile network when I insert sim I get enter PIn to unlock
As I stated I the post you quoted it will only work on MI9 basebands and earlier. MJ5 will years no results.
You will either have to contact AT&T and hope they give you the unlock code, or find a website that offers unlocking for money. There is no way around it.

Title says it all I don't want to sell in XDA just want price because this rare now that root can't be achieved in newer Firmwares.

All depends on who is buying and if they care or not. Can't be more than 20 extra if that or it's a better choice to buy a t mobile version and unlock it
