Please delet if double posted.
Sorry, Only got a minute to come here and say HD7 has a firmware update out now via Zune. I am downloading as we speak. Don't know yet if it is Zune fix or Wi-fi tether, will try to report back later.
I am using unbranded HD7 in UK.
Update: Doesn't appear to be an obvious option for tethering, am playing a known problem album now to see if phone resets. If it plays the whole album I will assume that is fixed and report back.
I t would seem the Zune crash is fixed, I had a guaranteed fail at a certain point in an album and have played past that. Only time will tell if this is a full fix but all good so far. xD

Thanks gloves. What's odd is that Zune isn't finding this update for me? I had been wondering if my update to Mango was complete and the lack of this update for me may prove it!
i have a t-mobile hd7 mango with halfbricked bootloader! i'm in italy.
do you think with this update, whit boot version 5, restore the bootloader?
but i don't find this update on zune...

which carrier and model do you have?
Anybody on O2 in the UK or Ireland getting firmware updates?
There was the regular firmware update shortly after the Mango update a few weeks ago that enabled the compass etc for Marketplace mango apps.
There is now supposed to be a firmware update that enables Internet Connection Sharing as O2 allows ICS without additional data plans; of course their support team have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask them when the ICS firmware update is due for my HD7.
USB tethering is working fine for now but it's a bit inconvenient having to constantly reboot between tethering and Zune mode.
Banding is gone
16-bit banding image is gone after this firmware update. Very nice looking indeed!

Might be a stupid question...but is your device a T-Mobile US branded one? When did you get the update?
so i just bought and HD7 about 2 hours ago. It's on stock windows phone 7 it has no updates. i was wondering if i can flash the rspl/hspl while it's on the first gen of windows phone 7. Or do i atleast need to have the nodo update ?
try putting all the info on here that you see when you click on settings > about > more information. Then people will be able to explain to you if you can or cant
or try reading the sticki?

btw. welcome to the WP world. hope you enjoy your HD7.
Greetings.
I also just recently got an HTC HD7 (TMOUS) with the following info
OS Version: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51202.531
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.12.2250.0(135916)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Bootloader screen says
Security Unlocked
PD29*** SS-BC (4k)
SPL-5.12.2250.0(135916) NMG
MicroP(LED) 0x07
TOUCH S1(v2.B, #1625)
I'm fairly new to custom roms and flashing and would like to ask if I can flash any custom roms with the Security unlocked bootloader or do I still need to downgrade my SPL as to avoid bricking the phone.
Thanks in advance.

you need to downgrade your Bootloader, first. see the tutorial i wrote, link in my signature.
Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to any sort of mobile unlocking/custom ROMS.
I'm looking to install Deepshining v8 on my HTC HD7.
After some research I've learnt that I need to downgrade my phone's SPL, as it's above 5.
I was wondering if it could be accomplished using Ansar's method (I couldn't find a concrete answer).
It would also be appreciated if anyone could point me in the direction of what files to downgrade with.
Here are my firmware and bootloader values:-
OS version: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51101.401
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.11.2250.0(134578)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Thanks for any help.
Forget it!
Go with the goldcard is thesafest method...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597837
remember to use a 1GB card to avoid problems
Hi, im new on xda developers, new to WP and in need of some help cause i have a HD7, want to upgrade to custom roms but haven't seen a thread about fixing a bricked bootloader by upgrading SPL?
im from the philippines and currently having a problem finding a Y Cable for the gold card method...im thinking bout making one if i can't find a made one :fingers-crossed:
my htc details are:
HTC HD7 T9292
OS version: 7.10.7740.16
Firmware Revision: 2250.21.51004.401
Hardware Revision: 0002
Radio Software: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio Hardware: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.11.2250.0(134578)
Noob friendly goldcard method
the search will guide you to that, how to make your own y-cable, and NO, there is no way to fix it, except for goldcard method
