Is there an audio mod for tab s2 - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for a flashable Dolby mod for the tab s2.
Thing is that I'm using plex over the Web and my server is not strong enough to transcode the audio, so i thought I could direct steam it to the tab and transcode it here. Is there some audio mod like the various Dolby mods that can do that. Or could Viper4Android accomplish that?
I guess a simple equalizer mod would not do the trick as i need a transcoder.
Thanks

Decent player although its surely another galaxy s video player ripped and feature packed. That said Rockplayer being the other galaxy s rip will likely copy all features found here.
sent from my Nexus S XDA Premium App because I'm worth it
Thanks.
Unfortunately, it doesn't see the video taken by my Nexus S....
Updated OP to new version 1.0.132

It does you have to select the camera folder on SD card and will search for media files in that directory
Thanks. Best player!
Works the same as Rock Player for me. RockPlayer decodes 720p (mkv) fine but theres no audio. Regular .avis have sound
Definitely nice video player though, I'll keep it
As usual, can't play anime mkv videos without doing slow-mo. I think vlc is the only third party app that can compete with the galaxy player.

Can someone help me, I have installed moboplayer on my Nexus S and I am have a few questions.
1. When I connect my Nexus S to my computer what folder/directory should I be putting my video files in?
2. When I start moboplayer on my Nexus S, I am also confused about which folders I should choose. Also, when I start moboplayer I get "there's no SD card, make sure it is usable".
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Highly recommend using dice player for best HD playback becasue it uses hardware acceleration unlike mobo, rockplayer..ect

You were really vague in answering my question though. I am not new to computers but I am new to this. Do I have to modify (root) my Nexus for this to work?
For instance I connect my Nexus S to my laptop and can get the "removable disk (H" option in my computer. Can I make any folder within there and call it "movies"?
OR is there a specific sub folder I need to be in?
Thanks for your help.

The folders as seen in moboplayer don't mirror what I am seeing on my computer. That's is why I am confused.
Thanks for the help.

Bah, no wonder I couldn't see the files. I needed to disconnect the device from my computer.
lol
hey
i downloaded rock player but when i play the movie using rock player the volume of the movie being played is pretty less... is there any player which is better than the rock player and which has high volume?
MX Video Player is by far the best video player on Android IMO.
It was the only player that could play 720p MKV with subtitles without any kind of lag, problems with subtitles or sound. You can also change between audio-tracks.
It also got a the prettiest interface.

Mkv videos

So I cant find this anywhere. I downloaded a complete tv series in mkv format. On the pc its good quality. But on my tab im using arcsoft media player, and the video is a little choppy and pixilated. Any suggestions to get better quality?

Try moboplayer. Its awesome and free as well. Its in the market.
The native player is working good with mkv if it doesn't have dts audio. No need for third party player.

What music player do you use on your GNote?

I was wondering what do you use to play your music.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
I use MixZing PlayerPro. Great interface, many options/customization, excellent equalizer, highly recommended!
For my video player I'm using MX Video Player Pro. Once again a great player which even plays subtitles and plays ANYTHING you throw at it, theres never been a video it cannot play.
It also makes use of dual core processors therefore playing 720p & 1080p content is silky smooth & crystal clear.
Hows mixzing at organising the music. Can you delete tracks while playing them, does it updates the metadata, album or track cover?

It's great. With regards to organization you can sort by artist, albums, songs, genres or playlists.
Best part about the player is the equalizer! Goes from 30hz to 16khz and even has a preamp!
When playing tracks you can:
Refresh Artwork
Add tp Playlist
Delete
Use as Ringtone
All by Artist
All on Album
Home
Settings
Help
You can also edit tags, share and even identify song.
I strongly recommend this app, there is a free basic edition but if you like it pay for the pro version...
I'm using PowerAMP, works great, as it did on my HTC Desire. I'm also using the free Klipsch app from the Market for headset control.
im using double twist. . its itunes for android. .
Ubermusic.
I was updating metadata of music in my phone and by mistake it changed the artist of all the songs to pussycat dolls

Does it do true gapless MP3s? I have allot of Floyd, which would be ruined if gaps or pops/clicks were heard between songs.
Some habits are hard to break.
I've been using WinAmp for over a decade, and will use it in 2012 for sure. EQ, play by folders, and Shoutcast are the main reasons. Here's to hoping that many of the great plug-ins make it to Android...
PowerAMP, like most people.
Im using a a music player called 3
Im looking for one that does not have any random audio skipping when I do something on the phone, PowerAMP skips a lot even if I have the audio thread at highest with 700ms buffering.
I installed mixzing n loving it...

I've tried every other player but stuck with MixZing...
Wow. None of you are using Google Music?
I guess that still might be US only. Damn it's amazing though.
I use playerpro, imho it's best

Mortplayer. It allows me to play by folder only. Doesnt rely on media scan. Works even if MS is disabled.
Haha, everyone has listed a different music player!
This is normal since different people like different players for reasons such as:
Looks/Interface
Functions/Ease of use
Options/customization
Audio/sound options/quality/equalizer
However, most audio apps mentioned above are highly recommended and have received excellent reviews.
I also love mixzing. it also have nice collection of widgets that allow to run it directly from desktop. the only thing I wish to add to it is the ability to control it from notification area ( like the stock player)
I use UberMusic. It's a Wp7-like Player. In my opinion it looks very nice, does't lag at all and has some usuable functionalities others haven't got

Stock video app - only if you have a rooted Chromecast and use the specific version of AllCast (see FAQ).
Otherwise you can use Avia (paid option) or RealPlayer Cloud.
Ohh OK Kool thank you very much

Chances are your chromecast got updated when you first plugged it in and the root won't work now.

I've also been a VERY proud owner of a Galaxy Note 3 since around early to mid-October when it was first released. All Chromecast-enabled apps have worked just fine on my phone **SO FAR**. As far as I can remember, I've never had a single issue casting from my Note 3, even with the "working" version of Koushik's AllCast/AirCast app. Everything has been just fine and problem-free thus far!!(As far as I know....*[1.]My fingers have remained crossed since I bought this phone back in October. ...&... [2.]This wooden desk has had a small knuckle-sized hole 'knocked' straight through it!!* LOL). But yea, as far as the "stock" Samsung Video app goes, as long as your Chromecast has been rooted and you've installed the correct, "working" version of Koushik Dutta's AllCast/AirCast app onto your phone, you *should* be able to just open up the Video app, locate your video that you're wanting to cast(Google's Chromecast PREFERS for "casted" videos to have the .mp4 file extension and also to have been encoded using the H264 video codec and the AAC audio codec.), and finallllllly, locate and press the "Share to AllCast" button up at the top of the app(If you don't happen to see the "Share to AllCast" icon up at the top of the Videos app, you just MAY have to click on the little 2 or 3 pronged "Share to..." button up at the top of the app instead and just scroll down the list that pops up to locate the AllCast app.). Assuming that your Chromecast has already been properly rooted and the correct version of "AllCast" has been installed, your video(Also assuming that the video has been properly encoded in the H264/AAC codecs.) *SHOULLLDDD* start playing on your tv screen in all its beauty (...with an echo ringing throughout your house/apartment/trailer/cardboard box(I'm TOTALLY J/K about this one!!) coming from your Chromecast sounding eerily like Tarzan in the jungle!! Lol!!).

Are you root? Can you give a few details on version you picked or anything that helps specific to our device?
Thanks
I've used this on my note 3 and it worked fine but for the life of me I know there is a step I'm missing when it comes to getting this thing installed. I'm rooted and just can't get this to push into the system apps. Going to look over the thread and see what I did wrong. Would love a play by play.

I installed from http://vipersaudio.com/blog/
Latest and ran the s.w
not sure what people consider loud but when watching movies i think it is really loud. i was actually quite surprised. i rarely get the volume past 7. Music is not as loud though.
Even though I'm using a Nexus 10, I can say that before installing viper4android I rarely used the speakers while playing any videos but now the speaker audio is so good (much more than a volume boot) that I only use earplugs for private listening. It was that dramatic. In fact I originally installed V4A to add bass to my earplugs and simply tripped across its impact on a tablet's speakers as well as earplugs.
