Deleted OS? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The other day I was using my phone and it started to die on me so I plugged it in to charge. I guess it was too low power, so when I plugged it in, it powered down and started charging via phone off. Later I come back to turn it on and it just gets stuck in bootloop. I haveTWRP installed so I cleared the dalvik cache and regular cache. That didn't work. So the next time I just did a factory restore, well after the restore I now have no files on my phone. No OS nothing.
When I plug the phone in via USB the computer chimes and lets me know something was plugged in but I don't get any other messages. If I plug my phone in while in recovery it shows the device with zero folders.
I am sure I can fix it from here, but while using WUGS Root Tool Kit my computer keeps telling me that no "FastBoot Devices" found. How do I fix that?
I would like to just flash an image if possible if someone can walk me through the process or any help would be great.

you wiped system, which wipes your rom off your phone. its a VERY easy fix.. just move whatever rom/gapps/supersu to your phone via twrp or adb, then flash it via twrp.

btw.. dont use toolkits. LEARN how to things yourself, its much easier.

Just any stock ROM, I downloaded one from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#fugu but it doesn't show up in TWRP.

to flash a factory image, you need to flaah it while in the bootloader, using fastboot. its not a zip.

Honestly man, you are talking to someone who doesn't understand a lot about these things. I need detailed instruction on how to do this. I now don't have twrp installed. I tried to install CM13 and now its stuck in cyanogen recovery mode. This really sucks and need help on how to fix it. Also while in bootloader mode. It says FASTBOOT DEVICE NOT FOUND if it were found I would not be having this issue. I would have a stock rom installed and be on my way. Since it isn't able to find a FASTBOOT DEVICE that is why I am in this current situation.
NVM I figured it out. Had to install adb-setup-1.4.2.exe and now my phone is fixed and up and running.

[Q] Soft bricked my HTC ONE, help plz.

Hello guys,
So i unlocked the bootloader, used TWRP recovery, made a nandroid back up, saved a copy of back up on my pc and then flash the Trickdroid rom. Every thing went smoothly till then, as the proximity sensor wasnt working, i installed the xposed framework then went into recovery and flashed the zip file for it. After the reboot, the phone hung on HTC one boot screen, i used the Vol down + power button but the phone is just not switching on in recovery or anything. Connected to my PC, gave adb reboot recovery but it says "device not found". Did the vol+power thing in light as well but didnt help.
What should i do? Please help.

I now know the mistake i did, i flashed trick droid on my one and i was coming from stock 4.1.2. Developer had mentioned that for those coming from 4.1.2, we need to first wipe, install rom, do 1 boot cycle and then wipe again, i missed the last part hence got stuck at the boot screen.
I tried adb but it didnt work, so i used fastboot reboot command and the phone came alive, after which went to recovery and restored my nandroid. What happened to your device?
Boot into bootloader by turning off device and keeping volume down pressed, and then connect your device to your pc so you see "fastboot usb" in red, and then type "fastboot erase cache" followed by "fastboot reboot"

I made a really amateur mistake. Installed a normal xposed version instead of the custom for One. Now I'm stuck on the boot screen. I can load bootloader and recovery. Tried using ur method and still stuck. Also cannot read internal memory and can't push xposed disabler.. All with no nandroid backup. Any helpful tips?

xposed is universal for all phones so it wasnt xposed maybe an xposed module that doesnt work on our phone
try moving everything from your sd to computer the format sd

If you dont have any nandroid backups then im afraid theres really nothing you can do besides factory reset..go into the bootloader and try reseting the phone, see if that works.
The reason your computer doesnt read your phone is normally a drivers issues. Heres what you can do to get your computer to notice your phone.
download the file from here and extract the whole FOLDER to your desktop: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996051
1. boot into recovery
2. connect your phone to the computer
3. go to device manager, just search for it
4. In other devices, there should be something called android phone, open it, and choose update drivers
5. instead of letting the computer search for the drivers, choose the second option to choose your own
6. choose the folder, the whole folder, and your driver, and click install
Now your phone should be recognized by your computer, check by using adb devices in command. If it works, go from there, try pushing xposed disabler, or push a nandroid to your device and restore.
Heres a link to how to install the drivers if you didnt get my explanation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139767

you should download it and use erase cache option then reinstall recovery and see if that helps but i think you will probably end up having to format sd. if you have htc sync it might be able to get some of the stuff from sd before you format

Had this same exact problem, AIO helped me , i had installed TWRP and the AIO opened recovery, then chose recovery and then tried side loading, while doing i then sideloaded the ARHD and voila am back to normal.
The problem and my question is , i flashed with bulletproof kernel and then that created all the problem. now somehow it has booted and i still have bulletproof kernel. Am scared to reboot (am a noob all over again since i bought wp) , if i flash it with a stock kernel deodexed or odexed will that create a problem? I have ARHD10.2 Stock ROM. Please advice.

Phone is essentially bricked

Okay, I have the HTC One for Sprint. I flashed it using TWRP 2.5 and I can only currently access the bootloader.
I accidentally wiped everything off my phone and when I plug it in my computer sometimes recognizes it has HTCONE or as Android Device, either way I cannot send files over using adb sideload. Gives me the error that there is no device.
Currently my device somehow also got "unrooted" in the process. I am looking at the phone not being able to transfer any roms I want over to install a new OS nor can I restore it to the old OS.
Is there anything I can do?
PS: I did install the drivers and other devices. If someone can please help me even over teamviewer it would absolutely make my day. I have been troubleshooting this device for about 30 hours straight now.
Since you can access bootloader, you'll probably be ok..
What happens when you try to access recovery?
what happens in "fastboot usb" in your bootloader when you command
Code:
fastboot devices
If your device shows just do
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery.img
Download one of these recoveries (since you have the Sprint version) <- this will get you into recovery if you're not already able to access it..

Well I have the recovery since thats the only one I can access. Thing is though neither of my computers can recognize the device and I cannot send the rom necessary to boot the OS.
I can access the Bootloader and I can access the Recovery. I cannot access the memory on the phone in order to send files over
Have you tried flashing the RUU? Hopefully this can help:

important part is getting the phone working again then worry about unlocking bootloader
Can always try flashing a custom ROM using an OTG cable if you've wiped the OS. I always wipe my storage and OS when I do a clean install and then flash the ROM straight from my flash drive ... Obviously you'll need to fastboot a custom recovery, if you are able to.

When you're in recovery do adb devices. If it shows your phone you can sideload a ROM.

GPe 4.3
hi bro, that happened to me as well, i have installed usb driver but adb cannot detect my device. I was running windows 8 that time but when i used windows 7 adb was able to detect my device with no issues and i was able to transfer custom rom zip file to it. I dont know if that could help you but i'm just sharing my experience.

I can access the bootloader and the recovery (switched to PhilZ touch) and sideloaded a couple roms but NONE of them work. One of the roms boots up and goes in a restart loop after hitting the front page (no icons on the screen just top bar) Even the stock version of htc one for sprint didn't work it kept resetting my device.
I tried using the RUU also but it gives me a bootloader error saying it cannot be restored after a few minutes of loading.
Well every rom so far attempted has been a dead end. CM, AOKP, all have booted and started a restart loop. I am not sure if its my kernal or anything else.
I just need some help. What I did notice is that even if the devices were working I had no cell signal. Someone please help lol

Backup a XT1069(MotoG 2nd Gen) in a "bootloop"

Hi guys,
So, i've been looking forward to install CM13 on my aunt's XT1069, but i had to backup everything in it, pictures and videos from her recent trip.
But when i was starting, i found a problem.
Even after installing Motorola Drivers, my computer didn't recognized the cellphone. Tried to activate developer options to activate debugging, but even touching the version number 7 times, the notification didn't popped up. I thought that was because of some virus, this cellphone is a loadout of ****, from 11,6GB usable memory, there was 500mb free memory. So i just restarted the cellphone.
But when i restarted it, it'd gone into some kind of a bootloop, it boot into the Android 6.0 screen, then goes into a black screen, and then it flashes the Android 6.0 screen instantly periodically. My concern here is not how to recovery the cellphone, but how to backup it with only fastboot available as a tool. Bootloader locked, stock recovery.
Anyway that i can unlock bootloader without wiping data?
Anyway i can backup it on fastboot/recovery?
Any help would be appreciated.

Can someone please help with a guide to recovering a bricked phone?

Hello Everyone!
I just received a new Oneplus 3t after my last one died from liquids. The first thing i did when i booted the phone up was perform an update to 4.1.3. After the upgrade was downloaded the phone rebooted to install the update. The screen appeared where it was going through the update. The update got about a quarter of the way then just stopped progressing for a half an hour before it stated installation failed. I rebooted the phone but it will not go past the ONEPLUS title screen. I can still boot into recovery though. I tried a data wipe with no success after searching google.
I searched around on other threads but the info was a little fragmented. If someone could provide a guide or a link to another thread on recovery it would be very appreciated!
Thank you

I think it will work anyway.
If you don't have unlocked bootloader you can do it by using this toolkit. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/toolkit-oneplus-3-toolkit-unlock-t3398799
It will wipe all you data btw.
Then download the desired oos build from their website (click on menu and select support).
1. If you can access phone storage copy the file on your phone and install it with stock recovery.
2. If you can't access storage put the downloaded file in adb folder on your computer. Shift + right click in that folder and select "open command prompt here". Go into recovery on your phone and select "install from ADB". Then in cmd type "adb sideload *filename*"
The flashing takes quite long so don't worry.
Hope it helps.

1. If you can access phone storage copy the file on your phone and install it with stock recovery.
2. If you can't access storage put the downloaded file in adb folder on your computer. Right click in that folder and select "open command prompt here". Go into recovery on your phone and select "install from ADB". Then in cmd type "adb sideload *filename*"
The flashing takes quite long so don't worry.
Hope it helps.

Func 11 Oreo - Help

Hey all, so I got the dreaded Func 11 error mode on my device.
I had updated to Oreo, and was attempting to install a Lineage treble build. I think I flashed the wrong one and I tried to flash back to stock by using the oreo update method. Unfortunately what appears to have happened is that I've somehow destroyed my recovery side of things.
I can access Fastboot and tried to flash TWRP, but this fails to load (gets stuck on 'Your device is now booting').
I'm out of ideas as to what to try now. Does anyone have any suggestions? To make matters worse my battery is also now dead.
Any help is much appreciated and apologies if this is just a repeat of another thread.
I had the same error, I sent it to tech service, I have no idea how to fix that, my phone was stuck at "your device is booting now", no way to enter into recovery.
I hope you can fix your phone bro. :/
I did the same as you and got the same problem, I had to send my device away and get it repaired by an authorized repair agent. They ended up having to put in a new main board into my phone.
if you can access fastboot you need wait on error mode screenbattery die, when phone close taje charge your phone wait open otomaticly

I can access no fastboot no problem. Only problem is battery is completely dead and every time I try to charge it just reboots to error mode when I plug it in. Can't access the recovery unfortunately and I know there isn't any fastboot command for it from what I can find.
if you can access fastboot mode, you need use extractor for your oreo files, extract kernel and ramdisk.img and flash, after that flash twrp recovery again
Well I'm off to work now where I have access to a windows PC. I'll see what I can do, otherwise I'll try DC Unlocker if need be. I don't believe I need to send it back for repair as that seems like a bit much for what's clearly not a hardware issue.
no you dont need send to repair, thats software issues.huawei is really terrible company.kirin chipset its slow then snapdragon or exynos cpu and cpu, camera just take good picture thats all not take good video like galaxy phones, software is very bad recovery system worst in the anroid phones i even use before.developer cant cook custom roms,i never buy huawei phone again and ibcant recoment anybody to buy.they dont deserve that prices

All images flashed. I still can't get in to recovery however due to the battery being depleted.
It won't simply just charge and reboots to Error Mode. If anyone knows of a way around this that would be great. Are there fastboot instructions to get to recovery?

Yes I have flashed correctly via fastboot. My phone just can't get enough battery charge to be able to boot to recovery it seems.
Ok, I'm on Oreo and I'm gonna give DC Phoenix a shot. Does anyone know which firmware files I need to download? Device is VTR-L09C432
