Hi, im new here. Recently Installed Rom and bunch of other things on my HTC ONE. OverClocked it as well. Longs story short. I wanted to wipe the phone but click the Format option.
Now all I have is white screen with Htc logo on it. Cant connect to the computer. Cant boot it into recovery/fastboot Menu. Will not turn off. Just stuck on that HTC logo screen. Im waiting till battery dies may be than ill atleast be able to go to fastboot...
Is it possible to bring it back or the phone is done?
My apologies if im in the wrong area/section
Phone is on Rogers/Canada.
You don't have to worry. Drain battery and boot into bootloader tomorrow. You cam always fastboot flash the Rom if it won't boot. Easiest way is via m7 tools.

googling it now. I got it to sideload in recovery but have no idea what to do on the computor. think i need a toolkit
This works in CWM anyway
Boot into recovery
from the pc do the adb push filename.zip /data/media
wait for it to copy
then on the phone reboot recovery your rom should be in the root of the sdcard waiting for you to flash
I just tested it and it worked perfect ( of coarse I didn't format my sdcard so ymmv )

The sideload works but if you mess up in AROMA or it freezes you have to start from scratch

what i dont get is what file do i flash/adb.
I downloaded SDK kits, and half a million other zips. but no idea which file to take. I understood tho, that i need to move the file from pc to the phone with adb
If you download all in one toolkit it will make sideloading easier

Hi mate, I'd be happy to help on TeamViewer, as I understand it is complicated to do if you're new to the commands
when using all in one toolkit it will open two cmd windows you manually close the first one after that if it says waiting for device make sure it says fastboot usb at the top of bootloader screen on your phone if it says hboot press power button once. but if your sideloading a rom your phone must be in recovery and sideload selected in recovery. once sideload is done you will have the rom you sideloaded on your sd then you will have to flash that rom.zip
is there an step by step guide or a video?

1. Put phone into recovery
2. Plug into PC
3. Open adb/fastboot folder on PC and drag your chosen rom into there
4. Hold down shift and right-click inside the folder and select 'Open Command Prompt Here'
5. Type 'adb push NAMEOFROM.zip /data/media/' (/data/media/0/ if you were on 4.2.2)
6. Wait for it to complete, as there will be no progress indicator. It takes around 250 seconds (4 minutes)
7. Type 'adb reboot recovery'
8. Install zip from sdcard as usual. Zip file will be on the root
thx Mac.

You should push with adb a custom ROM.zip file and flash it.
Or mount a USB stick with an OTG cable and flash it from there. But you have to flash TWRP recovery with the OTG USB method.
To push a custom ROM.zip file while you're in recovery mode (also read here):
copy the ROM.zip to the same folder where your adb/fastboot files are.
open a cmd window from that folder
type "adb push ROM.zip /sdcard"
when finished reboot to your recovery
wipe system, data and caches (DON'T wipe the sd card content)
flash your ROM
If you have problems with adb not recognizing your device try a PC with Windows 7 and USB 2 port, install HTC drivers from here and use the mini-sdk for your adb/fastboot folder.

you can follow this guide for windows 8 problems it works a treat, i know because i had problems with adb on windows 8.

Yes it is, he was trying to prevent you from losing anything on the sd card, since the updated ROM will relocate where the sdcard storage is found.
Although I don't think it is relevant since you most likely have a wiped phone.. Seeing as there is no OS installed.
Hello guys,
So i unlocked the bootloader, used TWRP recovery, made a nandroid back up, saved a copy of back up on my pc and then flash the Trickdroid rom. Every thing went smoothly till then, as the proximity sensor wasnt working, i installed the xposed framework then went into recovery and flashed the zip file for it. After the reboot, the phone hung on HTC one boot screen, i used the Vol down + power button but the phone is just not switching on in recovery or anything. Connected to my PC, gave adb reboot recovery but it says "device not found". Did the vol+power thing in light as well but didnt help.
What should i do? Please help.

I now know the mistake i did, i flashed trick droid on my one and i was coming from stock 4.1.2. Developer had mentioned that for those coming from 4.1.2, we need to first wipe, install rom, do 1 boot cycle and then wipe again, i missed the last part hence got stuck at the boot screen.
I tried adb but it didnt work, so i used fastboot reboot command and the phone came alive, after which went to recovery and restored my nandroid. What happened to your device?
Boot into bootloader by turning off device and keeping volume down pressed, and then connect your device to your pc so you see "fastboot usb" in red, and then type "fastboot erase cache" followed by "fastboot reboot"

If you dont have any nandroid backups then im afraid theres really nothing you can do besides factory reset..go into the bootloader and try reseting the phone, see if that works.
The reason your computer doesnt read your phone is normally a drivers issues. Heres what you can do to get your computer to notice your phone.
download the file from here and extract the whole FOLDER to your desktop: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996051
1. boot into recovery
2. connect your phone to the computer
3. go to device manager, just search for it
4. In other devices, there should be something called android phone, open it, and choose update drivers
5. instead of letting the computer search for the drivers, choose the second option to choose your own
6. choose the folder, the whole folder, and your driver, and click install
Now your phone should be recognized by your computer, check by using adb devices in command. If it works, go from there, try pushing xposed disabler, or push a nandroid to your device and restore.

Had this same exact problem, AIO helped me , i had installed TWRP and the AIO opened recovery, then chose recovery and then tried side loading, while doing i then sideloaded the ARHD and voila am back to normal.
The problem and my question is , i flashed with bulletproof kernel and then that created all the problem. now somehow it has booted and i still have bulletproof kernel. Am scared to reboot (am a noob all over again since i bought wp) , if i flash it with a stock kernel deodexed or odexed will that create a problem? I have ARHD10.2 Stock ROM. Please advice.
I went to GooManager and downloaded the new version of TWRP. When I reboot to recovery my phone gets stuck on "swipe to unlock" and doesn't let me do anything but to restart my phone on fastboot. I can't flash any ROMs

I was using the previous version (2.5) just fine and just went to GooManager and I assume that GooManager will download the right for me.
I opened GooManager and click on Menu then Install OpenRecoveryScript and then I manually rebooted to recovery once the download finished. And that's when I get stuck on "swipe to unlock"
Filename was "openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.0-m7wls.img"

Thank you sir! I am new to this so I am learning as I go. I read that these are the steps to follow to do an ADB Fastboot. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks again for your help.
1) Download the above file. Save it to the root of your /sdcard directly (internal memory only) and rename it to "twrp.img"
2) Turn off your device. Turn on the device and keep holding volume down until a menu shows up. Select fastboot from the menu list.
3) Plug the device into your computer. Run the following command via the command line:
fastboot flash recovery "twrp.img"
Bless.

I direct downloaded the file from their site and fast boot flashed after verifying MD5. There is definitely a problem with he recovery

That sucks! So should I do try adb fastboot or go back to the previous version (2.5)?
What sucks is that without 2.6 working properly, I won't be able to flash any ROM with the new android version (4.2)
Aldo101t said:
well, thats the right one, i would suggest that you manually download the file and install using adb fastboot.

Completely stuck in Recovery. Can swipe to unlock screen but can not reboot even with Volume Down and Power button on Sprint HTC One. Just stuck. Phone is useless. Cant throw adb commands, nothing. WTF? What to do any ideas? Just watching the battery go down on the recovery screen...

Did you just recently update your firmware to the new base? The reason I ask is because after I did I used the the firmware with the bootloader and recovery included. I had reflashed TWRP 2.5. Well I noticed that the method of holding down volume key and and power button would not work for me at all whether I was in the os, bootloader or recovery. So I flashed the Rom I was on again and it fixed it. So I am wondering this is what is happening to you. Maybe just let the phone lose charge then plug it in reboot to the os then into bootloader and flash the 2.5 TWRP recovery. Only thing I can think of your not bricked

Given all the issues with 2.6 listed here, should I update from 2.5 to 2.6? Also, if TWRP says 2..5.0.0 at the top of the screen, how do I know this is the wls version?

look at the zip file you download (openrecovery twrp-2.5.0.0-m7wls.img) m7wls tells you its for sprint.or m7spr whatever
there is a new version 2.6.0.1 but i don't know if it still has bugs or not, i'd stay at 2.5.0.0

I do not have a separate file. I think my TWRP came as part of some bigger ( root, recovery, permissions) package. I would think it was the Sprint version, but I keep having slight problems - those system apps try reboot after install, but in my case they do not. I have to boot manually, and after each recovery reboot I get a "reboot error notification". Can this be related?

that error is nothing don't worry about it, if you install a custom rom(make sure it's for sprint)that will go
The other day I was using my phone and it started to die on me so I plugged it in to charge. I guess it was too low power, so when I plugged it in, it powered down and started charging via phone off. Later I come back to turn it on and it just gets stuck in bootloop. I haveTWRP installed so I cleared the dalvik cache and regular cache. That didn't work. So the next time I just did a factory restore, well after the restore I now have no files on my phone. No OS nothing.
When I plug the phone in via USB the computer chimes and lets me know something was plugged in but I don't get any other messages. If I plug my phone in while in recovery it shows the device with zero folders.
I am sure I can fix it from here, but while using WUGS Root Tool Kit my computer keeps telling me that no "FastBoot Devices" found. How do I fix that?
I would like to just flash an image if possible if someone can walk me through the process or any help would be great.

you wiped system, which wipes your rom off your phone. its a VERY easy fix.. just move whatever rom/gapps/supersu to your phone via twrp or adb, then flash it via twrp.

btw.. dont use toolkits. LEARN how to things yourself, its much easier.

Just any stock ROM, I downloaded one from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#fugu but it doesn't show up in TWRP.

to flash a factory image, you need to flaah it while in the bootloader, using fastboot. its not a zip.

Honestly man, you are talking to someone who doesn't understand a lot about these things. I need detailed instruction on how to do this. I now don't have twrp installed. I tried to install CM13 and now its stuck in cyanogen recovery mode. This really sucks and need help on how to fix it. Also while in bootloader mode. It says FASTBOOT DEVICE NOT FOUND if it were found I would not be having this issue. I would have a stock rom installed and be on my way. Since it isn't able to find a FASTBOOT DEVICE that is why I am in this current situation.
NVM I figured it out. Had to install adb-setup-1.4.2.exe and now my phone is fixed and up and running.
