Hi guys .. can you share the backup NVRAM.bin of your phone 'cuz i have a problem of my unit my phone detects a sim name of our carrier but it says NO SERVICE, both sims, in Wifi also it can detect wifi networks but can't connect, also in bluetooth, i always refresh it to scan but cannot found nearby devices, and also when i used the wifi-hotspot to activate the Shareit apk but it says restart hotspot, it keeps restarting .. i think the NVRAM has been damaged
last time i've remembered, this phone was deadboot and i flashed the firmware through SP Flash Tool .. i've used FORMAT ALL + DOWNLOAD option, it's working now but i cannot use the wireless connections .. when i checked the scatter firmware, there is no nvram.bin on the folder
someone else here who has a good heart to share his NVRAM or full backup rom ?? much better if its already flashable
i hope you would help me out of this problem

Hello
I'm not an expert about Asus Phones (I've got my own ZenFone Go just since 2 days), but i'm not sure then NVRAM.bin cause networks problems. This could be something like Baseband or Firmware. Have you searched if Asus released full firmware for your phone? (and also try to flash it from recovery, or your PC) This could generally solve some problems.

Hello tambok,
Unfortunately AFAIK, NVRAM partition holds the data for all the radios(like the uniqu IMEI number for telephony radios, other stuff for Wifi and Bluetooth etc.), and it's unique for every device, so if you didn't back it up, sorry - your device has turned into a very expensive brick.
Should you manage to get it through repairs, warranty(who am I kidding, your warranty is void because of flashing it) or non-warranty, back up the NVRAM next time you format your device.
@tambok_15 bro you should be able to find your wifi, bluetooth, imei, etc code for you device on the box of that phone the day you purchased it. It should be written on one of the sides. (Screenshot below)(i erased mine)
After you find the device-specific code on the box, you can then flash it into your nvram via SN Write tool (just google it) just make sure to have the correct drivers as well. You can also find a tutorial on how to use sn write tool on the forum hovatek.
I am not 100% sure this will fix the phone entirely but it's worth a shot. Good luck.
Edit: If your problem is related to baseband i don't know about it maybe you can find a solution on google . . .
Like the topic says, my ZB551KL Zenfone Go won't register network operators and i suspect it's because the IMEI of the phone is 0 after applying official update. I've tried to Root the phone by downgrading to version WW_V13.2.8.13 and installing KingRoot and using Xposed IMEI modules but this fuxed up the phone and sent it into a bootloop. So i reinstalled the WW_V13.2.8.13 firmware again (the only firmware that KingRoot will work on, so basically the only way to root the phone) and rooted the phone again and tried to open the diagnostics port through adb shell, but when i execute the command: "setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb" it says setprop: not found.....so i am guessing i can't open the diagnostics port this way. And Xposed IMEI changer won't work cause Xposed fux up my phone into a bootloop.
So if anyone has any idea how i could change my IMEI back to what it originally was i am all ears. I was reading something about using a HEX editor, but i don't know how to get the IMEI files out of the phone or how to write them back into the phone.
And yes i've tried installing every official firmware, factory reset many times etc.... IMEI is 0 until i somehow change it myself. And when i do my SIM cards will be able to register on the network again. So any help is very much appreciated.
Honestly, they should just ship android with rooting options. Rooting newer devices is a huge pain in the neck right now.
This device is just downgrade as someone posted before and use kingroot, the problem is to enable diag port.
How we can root zb551kl
same problem here.. pls help

how to recover imei from zero ?? i enabled diagnostic mode on this device
Basically you have to boot to fastboot then flash CSC firmware (also called RAW firmware) to enable qualcomm diag port.
Note that there are 2 kinds of this: 1 is the kind that connects via QDLoader 9008/QFIL to recover from hardbrick, and one that installs a very raw form of android and enables the diag port. You need the latter. Since I don't have the files anymore, you basically run this bat script file that connects via fastboot and hot-boots its own kernel that allows the diag port.
Then use this program called FactoryTool_WriteIMEI_v1.0.2 (Factory_tool_wingtech_v1.0.2.0.exe) to write the IMEI (since official qpst dont support dual Sim). You may need to fire up QPST/QFIL to get a proper com port for the software to work. Then flash first old firmware and you're good to prevent it getting corrupt again.
---
Problem is that this seems to be a symptom of a failing board since ever since the LCD started to flicker when in battery mode and OK when USB is plugged in. Baseband and IMEI becomes corrupt again when you update your system. Also periodically phone shuts down and becomes a 9008 device (hardbrick) but also comes back. Left it alone for days and it was fine after but problem came back after trying a game (solder cracks?) Will try to reflow the motherboard.
May I ask if you changed your LCD? This started happening to mine when I installed a system update after replacing the LCD+digitizer. It seems the phone is downloading the Chinese software update since it detects the (chinese?) panel and installs an incompatible Chinese modem baseband firmware. Upgrading to latest downloadable firmware also corrupts the IMEI slowly (Sim 1 first then Sim 2).
hello everyone I am so sad. Because A few days ago I noticed that the baseband was unknown. IMEI 1 and 2 unknown and Android ID Null from my Asus rog phone 2 Zs660kl version I001DC Global version and I cannot do anything because there is no any Qcn file for this phone , I am unable to do anything in my own, I do not live in United states, I cannot send it to repair, it would cost me the tax again, like 147 dollars again that I paid for the customs. Please if anyone has a good hearth to back up the Asus rog phone 2 file from the same version with the qpst toll... I would really appreciate. I need it , I tried to find the IMEI with Hxd editor and there is not any 1111 to find the error so I am unable to to that. There is no any Qcn file. I need a Qcn file from the same phone with a phone that has the baseband and the rest fine".
I need to have the Qcn file from this same phone I have issues with the baseband IMEI unknown and Android id Null, by doing this you can help through diag mode you just follow this just download Adb minimal, open it and and write Adb devices, then Adb shell then Su and finally setprop sys.usb.config rndis, diag,Adb enter and in device manager you will see in ports, Qualcomm devices which you can continue doing the next step which is installing latest drivers from Qualcomm on this video you can follow the steps After installing the latest qualcomm driver, the qpst tool will recognize your phone because it is now on diag mode since you did the previous step, by checking this video you can back up the Qcn file which is what many people need and there is no other way to solve the issue only with a phone which is in perfect condition as yours
how to use the qpst tool to backup the Qcn file , First diag mode with the commands I gave you second is installing the latest qualcomm drivers then backup and restore Qcn , and then you will have it done,
download the qpst tool and the Qualcomm drivers and it is an example of my problem with the baseband, you can guide with the one video and the third , the one video do not use the commands given by the YouTuber, because that do not works, use the commands I gave you , that works for our phones, and then the third video is explaining how to backup the Qcn file which contains the data? I was unable to edit myself the Qcn data from my damaged phone cause the IMEI is not there, there is no any 11111 number to replace it for my own IMEI, sadly,... Just need the Qcn from a good phone, please!!l
Sorry I was not able to post the links because I am new
I hope someone of good hearth can help me , both or giving me the Qcn file from their phone so I can recover the baseband and then change it with my own IMEI or someone that is able to edit the Qcn with my imeis. But need to be very trustworthy
I wanna cry I feel that I have no an exit

How do you flash it ?
Why dont you flash TWRP followed by ROM of any choice ?
NV normally contained in EFS partition, which can be backed up and flash from TWRP and QPST.
But again, your description is far from clear for us to help you.

When you flash using TWRP, did you actually managed to boot into system ? Or it stuck in recovery ?
Where did the nv corrupted notification appear when u were using TWRP ?
Prior to facing this issue, what you actually did ? I mean, did this phone work before ? Before you start getting this error, what you did, what you install, what you flash, what you delete ? Or did it just suddenly happen with nothing modified ?

This is absolutely not a issue, that requires using Qpst
You simply need to wipe data and follow the on screen prompts. (You will lose all data on your phone.) However the phone will work again.

Sorry that you are having these issues, But my comment was based on the photo that was posted on the OP. Typically formatting is the resolution. If you no longer have that screen available, you should contact an authorised repair center to fix it for you.
Otherwise If the phone is bound to your account, you could try what is listed here: https://www.mobilerdx.com/2019/02/xiaomi-mi-8-test-point-boot-xiaomi-mi-8-into-edl-9008-mode.html
Scams or Actual Fixes?
I have recently read about supposed hacks that according to a couple of Chinese BBS sites, has worked for some that require buying a specialised Jtag programming tool which cost about $60, that you use along with altered versions of following files: prog_emmc_firehose_8909.mbn.elf, mi8 persist image, rawprogram0, frp and a patch file. All of which that can all be obtained from here: https://romprovider.com/2019/09/mi-account-remove-xiaomi/ ( UMT Download)
Supposedly Chimera is another option: https://chimeratool.com/en/docs Again I have not used any of these tools with the mi8, I am merely sharing what I read about recently.
By the time you have spent the money acquiring the tools, it seems that you are better off just mailing the phone off to be repaired by an official repair center. Here is a web page that provides a list of official repair centers : https://www.pinoytechnoguide.com/2014/06/xiaomi-service-centers.html
Good Luck and try anything mentioned above at your own risk.
Edit: Have you tried the Flashall.bat method?

How do I write IMEI along with baseband version back to my phone? I really don't want to risk bricking it again, that's enough stress for me in the past two days
I heard that I can only flash IMEI 2 back to it, and if I want flashing IMEI 1 as well I'd need to install a custom rom on the phone. So if that's a solution I'd love if someone could help me with it. MIUI 13 is slow and laggy af (which is the reason I bricked the phone in the first place, to install a better ROM).
But here's something, when I flash the phone's firmware through fastboot, issues start to rise (as per my experience with it so far), but through SP Flash Tool, it's alright. So I'd love to know if installing custom ROMs using the tool would be alright, if not then if recovery is required or if fastboot is fit for the job. If that's an issue I'd love if someone could give me advice when it comes to it.
Old post 1: (not my current situation)
"Long story short, I bricked the phone and after months, I've finally been able to repair it (downgraded from MIUI 13 to MIUI 11), but I lost my IMEI. I have the phone's two IMEI numbers, but I could not find any tool to help me write it to the phone. Either that, or I don't know whether the phone should be turned on or off, or if there's any special mode that's required for that matter.
Help would really be appreciated."
Old post 2:
"It happened after manually installing engineering ROM on it, now I can only doubt it's BROM mode that's working and nothing else, but I'm not sure. SP Flash Tool doesn't want to work with the phone since I want to flash the stock rom back. I really need help please."

The reason why my phone broke in the first place was due to flashing a misc.bin file after following a YouTube tutorial. It was part of a process to download twrp on the phone unofficially. Since then I started looking for ways to fix it until I finally found a post that had to do with fixing nvdata corruption (which was the error I had prior to fixing the phone) which helped.
So yeah, I don't think I can trust flashing ROMs on my phone as much as before, but I'll still try the engineering ROM thing.

Yep, it doesn't show up as it's name or "Android", it shows up as MediaTek USB Port (COM3), that's why I doubted it to be in BROM mode.

I always recommend a NV Backup before messing up with your own device, that's all I know.
Download the file attached here but remember you can fix only second IMEI using this method. Please don't try to fix both IMEI or NV Data will be corrupted again.

The phone keeps rebooting when connecting it to Maui META. Like it shows META MODE at the bottom of the screen but then it turns off. Now it's bootlooping. I guess I'll have to flash MIUI on it again. At least I still have access to fastboot and recovery.
Update: NV Data corrupted after flashing MIUI, but I got a solution that hopefully works.
Update 2: After flashing MIUI 11 (along with some other nvdata and nvram files, i think they're just empty), it works now and the error is gone. But as I said IMEI issue's still there. Maybe I would need engineering ROM for this one? Although it bricked my phone before.
Also, the phone started bootlooping before attempting the Maui META thing, so maybe it's either the manual formatting of partitions or the files I flashed on it.

Try flashing the ENG rom and try fixing your IMEI

So I ran into another issue. it tells me I need "exaid-verified.img" and that verified boot is enabled, which is not present in the ENG ROM folder.

Btw one more thing, I can update my phone right? Like, it won't break my phone? I'm good with MIUI 11 but I wonder if updating it would fix baseband version.
