Hi all,
After unlocking my gt-i9305 4g using unlock base unlock by cable software I have no signal what so ever on my phone.
Even without the sim I dont get Emergency calls only. The phones IMEI* is intact and matches that on the box and it has been rooted for a while now and had no issues until unlocking the device. I have trawled the forums and google and cant seem to find anyone with a similar issue and Unlock base arent replying to any of my queries as they have the money now so it doesnt bother them.
The phones running android 4.3 and up until unlocking had no issues what so ever apart from occasionally having to take the battery out and do the power button ritual to get it to boot up again.
If theres anything i missed feel free to ask
Thanks in advance

Hello peeps, i finally received my G1 today... Happy!
Two things i would like to know i do have a t-mobile sim here but i dont get t-mobile service in Australia so i will need to unlock it.
What would be the best way of going about this... could you point me in the best direction for the cheapest and safest Australian Unlock codes , other thing is somewhere i read its possible to skip the gmail bit and activate it later also someone said to me it was possible to start the wireless connection to enter those gmail details so i dont need a sim with data....
So main question is with a t-mobile sim here is it possible to access the phone without having it unlocked and without t-mobile service?
The other thing is i have heard going around is that dev images have unlock strings would this allow me to use a Australian sim to enter the details at the start without having to pay for unlock??
Call t-mobile to get the phone unlocked, they are quite relaxed with the unlock codes, secongany dev based rom something like cyan' s rom will allow you to skip the g-mail reg when you boot up and connect via wi-fi, even hero roms have that option
I tried messaging t-mobile but they said i needed proof of perches because i don't have a t-mobile account

How to register the G1 without a sim or data plan...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452316
As far as unlocking goes...? This is how to do it after you get the code.
http://www.blogsdna.com/2357/how-to-unlock-t-mobile-g1-phone.htm
or
Try Unlock-tmobileg1.com which charges $23.99 USD.
Search unlock g1 in the forum search bar to pull up some old threads about unlocking your phone, pretty sure that you would find a similar problem to your's there than I could give you I have t-mobile in the us, I am sure I have seen posts like your's solved in some old threads
Ok so first off I've searched and its how I got up to this point.
In a nutshell: Im from Puerto Rico, have a Ace S5830L on my hands, did the BLM5 method to get network unlock key, box didnt appear so had to upgrade from 2.2.1 to 2.3.4. Put the code in, unlocked the phone. When I do the *#7465625# all locks are [OFF] but when I put in a T-Mobile SIM(the phone is Claro) I get a message saying (No Service) | Network Lock and I get a new box saying to insert Network Lock Control Key.
So question is...what the he-- is this Network Lock Control key? What do I have to do to get the Tmo sim working when the phone is apparently unlocked already.
Thanks
bump...
sorry for the bump guys its just that I've been searching pretty much for like 12hrs now, here and on htcmania, which some people recommended but I cant find any definite answer, the questions been asked by others but I see no response and those people havent posted any solutions either. Again...thanks for taking the time to read the thread. Hope to hear from someone.
Some stock firmwares, even unlocked, have problems (telcel in mexico, for example). Have you tried with a free (unbranded) firmware or any custom rom?
I havent tried any custom roms, but I am running the unbranded KP7 stock 2.3.4 rom.
in 12 hours you wont get an answer so fast remember there are thousands and thousands different threads
check if your imei is okay

youre right, my apoligies.
Yea I checked the imei and its still there, didnt get deleted. I also read that supposedly some companies do a double lock which is what the Network lock control key thing is. Any chance this is true? If so, any way around it?
Hi,
I tried to unlock my wind canada lg optimus 2x, but i used up all of the entries. I assume my phone is now permanently locked to wind mobile network? Any solution for this? I have the correct unlock code, but the phone doesn't allow any more attempts.
the BIGGER issue is that the phone is not even registering on the original WIND mobile network any more.
any solution, can I stock restore and try warranty?

Afaik, you have hard-locked the phone (most phones use a hardware-based counter for SIM unlock attempts), and you will not be able to use the conventional method of unlocking via code any more.
I know other brands like Sony Ericsson have special USB methods (paid) that can reset hardlocks, but I have no idea about LG models. I suggest you contact Jinx13 at http://phoneunlockserver.com/ for advice. These guys actually have special dongles that can do low-level hardware communication not possible by conventional means.
As for not registering on WIND anymore - that should not happen. I definitely suggest restoring the stock factory ROM.
How did you manage to use up all the attempts btw? I thought phones had 10 unlock attempts.
For the future, if you have an unlock code on a new phone, always have a video camera ready to film the unlock attempt making sure to capture your IMEI in the process. That way if the code fails you have video evidence to present for a refund. I know cellunlocker.net honours this policy.

Hey all. Very annoying problem (one of many really) here with my xperia sp. I want to change network providers and got my unlock code no problem from my current carrier, no issue there. However when I put in the unlock code I'm told network unlock unsuccessful. I've attempted it twice as I don't want to risk making things worse. I've tried to check the service menu to see if the counter still has attempts but I can't access that either using *#*#7378423#*#*. The code disappears but nothing happens. I'm using paranoid nexus android version 4.4 and I've a locked bootloader if that makes any difference. I did buy the phone second hand so I realise the person before me could've used up all the attempts but it was only about a month old at the time and the person was on the same network as I am (I got the receipt when I bought it off them). Just wondering if anyone has any idea how I could possibly unlock the phone by whatever means or even get a look at my service menu??
My network is Meteor in Ireland if that makes any difference.

I think it's possible that you have to be on stock rom to unlock your device.
And service menu is not accessible in costum roms. Possible that it could be installed, I don't know.
Do the following steps:
1. Make a nandroid backup.
2. Go back to stock rom using the tool "Emma".
3. Do your unlock stuff.
4. Root and install recovery (get the same recovery as you use now!)
5. Go back to your current configuration by restoring your backup.
If you haven't used up all your attempts and your old carrier has given you the correct code, this will surely work!
If you have any further problems with unlocking, reply to this thread by quoting me! That way I'll get a notification. It's better to ask and wait before you've used up all your attempts

Hi,
Before I got my hands on this bootloader locked Moto X XT1058 with 4.4.4, a number of failed attempts were made to enter the network unlock code so I believe it has been permanently locked to AT&T.
After I got the official unlock code from AT&T, which matched with another third party vendor's code (they provided 2 sets), trying to enter them in has been futile. There is no indication from the screen that it has been permanently locked except for the 'unsuccessful' message.
I would like to seek your help to find out if there is any way to reset this permanent lock. I tried to use fastboot erase modemst1/modemst2 but it seems to make no difference. Other than sending it back to Motorola, do I have some other ways to force the reset of the locked status?
This is a customized Moto X from the Moto Maker store for the AT&T network.
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards.
sorry dude i battled this for several weeks, no go! send it to Moto.
Hey Cheese74, I am facing the same issue. Did you manage to find a solution to fix it.
I tried calling Motorola Customer support. They replied saying that since the network locked was set up the Service Provider, I should reach out to them to find a solution. And the service provider is asking me to reach out to Motorola.
Appreciate if you can let me know if you have any leads on this one..
Thanks,
Your devices are pretty much perma blocked now, since entering the wrong code 10 times, blows few fuses on the OTP, which is nearly impossible to be reverted.Service centres usually replace the board in this case and send the old board for refurbishment or recycle.
You can still use the device as wifi-only, which is not that bad after all.Or you can try to find and buy a working board and replace it.
