Have no plans to update and flash another rom as I feel LG stock ones are good
Btw did you other that the wifi, data, and signal bar icons gets changed after build prop edit, no more spark ones just the usual kitkat like icons now.
Doesn't matter for me really.

Yea the icons change no lte icon should be a h+ or i got just a 4g icon. U can change from open for instance to att and ule get the att icons.

Also if ure rooted and got exposed u can now run android theme engine. When build props on spr. Icon changers dont work when it open icons and nav buttons can be modded with android theme engine. Its in the download section of exposed. My navbar is off a windows phone diffrent sig icon and pot leaves for wifi

Yes they do but they are yet to rollout the 4g or lte in my area, I am just preparing for that, let's see if they ll operate lte on the same bands as the ones I this phone.
Thanks a lot for all the suggestions and help
Will update you by the end of this month, that's the time when they are gonna roll out the lte
Btw did you notice, once you set it to OPEN the call settings crashes always.
And the best thing is you get genuine 2g 3g 4g icons with the build prop edit. Sprint is known to be such a PITA as their network keeps showing a fake 3g icon even if you are on 1x,
For me that's a big relief with gsm ans these OPEN icons
Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
Lol edit. I didnt ever notice. Shows how much i play in them. I had. A g2 on sprint i opened gsm and let me tell you. When u switch to open. Loads of bugs. Thats part of why we need a ul bootloader. Cloudy fa rom justins rom and a straight tmobile rom unlocked g2 with no bugs. My problem is ive bought 4 or 5 phones since ive had this horrible thing. But in the end the g4 runs better. Heck i was runnin a ps1 and ps2 emulator last nite and man if it dont run great. Neither of them were lagging. I even got my ps3 control to link to the g4. I gave up a gs5 active but there was absolutly no root or anything on it. Shoulda kept the g4 stylus. It was pretty ritecheous but oh well

You can't. You cannot use the phone with out the sim card. You cannot get into the phone with out a working activated sim, or my phone would not go further, which you need to do to get in and root and CM the phone which would be the only way you might be able to circumvent the activation.
Or that is my understanding of the process.

I'd be curious... Once I am "done" with this phone, will it still operate as a PDA, or is Verizon ensuring it will reach the recycle bin by locking us out?

It's possible using CDMA Workshop latest version ... About the PRL ... search for 51765.prl or pageplus.prl you should be able to get it. You tube should be able to give you some quick guidelines on how to accomplish this task.
Good luck

"Nexus 4 hardware and software were not designed to be compatible with LTE, and future LTE capability on today's Nexus 4 will not be possible because of hardware and software incompatibilities. We've heard reports that some users have reconfigured their Nexus 4 to enable LTE under rare circumstances, but it is uncertified and unsupported."

It suck big time. Especially since you buy something knowing LTE can be turned on and then the company that made a device that's so open to everyone, now makes an update specifically fuking up the LTE.
This is exactly what Apple would do, nice going Google

Hi,
Got my XZ in white earlier today, it's a beauty, easily the best looking Android phone over ever used! Battery seems to go quickly, but I have used it a lot lol! Back gets pretty warm when using it alot, getting worried.
But reason for this post is I can't find the LTE settings on my phone, on the demo one I used in three, its under mobile networks, network mode. Mine shows GSM and WCDMA no LTE, the demo one I used in three had LTE as a third option.
Can anyone else confirm this with theirs, both three and non three handsets.
Will the LTE option come after three launch LTE to prevent users accidentally selecting it maybe?
Thanks

Possibly or the existing SIM cards will be provisioned for LTE and just work. A simple OTA update (via SMS) can adjust settings on a SIM card.
I really hope the existing cards will work as I have some PAYG cards and don't want to mess around changing them.

Don't press the call button, as long as you have inputted the code correctly after the last * it should take you into the services menu.
3 have just said this year, hopefully it will be asap, but their Ultra-fast internet (DC-HSDPA) is out now in nearly 80% of the UK which gives us nearly similar speeds to EE's LTE. Do a coverage check on their network to see if you are in the Ultrafast area.

No, I got a replacement and it wouldn't get 4G at all, just 3G. Figured I'd try to toggle it like you did, same result. Turned out the UICC ID wasn't matching up with Sprint's records. They reprogrammed it or whatever they had to do and all is good now!

I wouldn't give up so easy, I'd take it up to tmobile and complain about their service. Don't mention where or how you got the phone just tell them that you won't continue to pay for what you're not receiving. I have a feeling they may just exchange it for you to keep you as a customer.
