Hello,
I installed lucky patcher and during the the process it said something like "your apk file names need to be changed by supersu in order for this app to work." I pressed yes and now all my apps which had moved to the SD card are gone. Actually I can't access the SC card at all anymore
Anybody an idea on how to revert this? I can't find any option for that.
Thanks!

ADP builds of Android do not have TMobile apps such as Amazon MP3. This has been discussed ad nauseum if you had bothered to search.

It's a protected app. If you need it that bad that I suggest you go back to an RC build and do research before blindly flashing whatever build of Android is at the top of the forum.

If you still have the RC firmware you can just unzip it copy the amazon apk out and install it into the adp the amazon works. I dont think anyone has the IM app working though
We should have an official rc update from tmobile real soon, which will have amazon mp3, myfavs, etc...
Just open a RC33 update.zip and extract the file from /system/app. Then you can install it by adb push.
Verified as working. I just added it to the app folder of Dudes 1.1 build and then did the update and it works just great. Purchased and downloaded a song to verify.
Here it Is
http://droiddeveloper.com/com.amazon.mp3.zip
enjoy it works for me...
Really Bad,
In Germany it cannot charge my creditcard... It has enough money on it.
I have the dude's 1.5 version, and cant seem to get it running. It forces closed upon trying to open. Any thought? It is saved to my SD in the app folder.
TIA

TY SolemnWishing, this is how I got the app on my SD card to begin with - yours is a very helpful thread for a n00b like me. Unfortunately, I was never able to get the app to open. I am not sure how I could have messed it up - pretty simple, I navigate to the app folder on my SD and click the apk file which proceeds to install Amazon MP3. No go.
If you have any ideas on what the problem might be I would appreciate the input.
Thanks again for your great tutorial
Hmm... I assume you deleted the .zip and renamed it to .apk, what firmware are you using?
I am using firmware 1.5. Yes I renamed to apk. I wants to work, just force closes before it fully loads. I also have this problem with oi music player. It used to work, now no longer loads. I wonder if my SD card is the problem. It is 8 gb, but I am sure only like a class 2 card.
Strange. I have JF 1.5 and installed the Amazon app the normal way for any app on the G1 and have rebooted several times. The app still works. I thought if you did not push the app to the G1 it would need to be reinstalled each time you reboot the device?
Well, I am pretty positive it was my SD card - after writing my post this morning I pulled the SD card and have not been anble to get the phone back since. This thread pretty accuratly describes what is going on...long story short, i think I fried my SD card and as a result am stuck on Splash 2. I have wiped several times...

uggg...all for mp3's!!!! any thoughts and lots of luck would be appreciated.

Ahh I did the same thing. Here is what you need to do, you will need to force format it. Windows will NOT detect the card, and it may even freeze your computer. Put the phone into another device, such as a palm pilot or another cell phone and format it from there. It shouldn't take very long, and when it is completed, it will likely say the memory card only has 5Kb or so of memory on it. NOW insert the card into your computer and reformat it into a FAT32 format (+Ex2 for apps to SD) and you should be good! Of course, you will need to reload all your files though. That will fix your SD card. As for your phone... you will need to completely reflash a new firmware onto it, as right now starting up your phone is looking for items on your SD card which it may need, which no longer exist.
edit: if that doesn't work, completely start from the beginning by flashing the dreamimg.nbh file for rooting.
I was able to reformat the SD card, lost all my backups of course, and had to reflash dreaming.nbh and start from scratch. No biggy, at least i still have my phone.
thanks for all the tips...once i get my card re-partioned, I will try the Amazon.apk again.
K
I got it to load - thanks for all your help.

No problem at all, glad I could help.

Try copying to /system/app (with adb or root explorer) and rebooting, that may work.
The reason you're missing it is probably due to an incorrect product code. Flashing new CSC with correct product code would probably fix it.

I don't know if that will work, but since it has to be in /system, you are much better off copying it to /system and then rebooting like I said. Unless you have some special market apk installer that you found somewhere.
Best bet would have been to flash using appropriate CSC/country code to begin with then you will have market. But if you don't want to do it, you can fix this.
Can you tell me how to copy to system? Can i connect phone to pc, turn on mass storage and copy?
My "Samsung Apps" app updated last night, when I went into it afterwards it said it needed a SIM card and then closed.
I don't use a SIM card in my Tab, never have and never will, I have no need for it, I own a phone for that sort of thing (and it's a phone with WiFi hotspot).
It worked fine before, but now there's no access
any ideas of a way round it or a way to "upgrade" to the previous version?
cheers

I had some issues with this app myself, even though I have a SIM installed. Launched it and it requested to update. But it kept on failing during the update process. Luckily I had a backup of the apk file so thought I'd just push that to the device and run the install. But that failed too. Then I decided to just push the file to /system/app. Rebooted the device and it started working. It now shows the new app store layout (which is basically a poor imitation of Marketplace, but still better than the previous samsung one). I guess I must still be on the original version code wise, but at least it works again...
I've attached the file if you want to give it a try. You'll need to have rooted your device to make /system rw. Or you could copy to sd card and try installing it.

Hi everyone!
I have a little problem with lucky patcher and I hope you can help me out.
I'm using lucky patcher for a very long time and it worked just fine with applying custom patch to some apps I use, until I bought this phone "huawei p8 lite" it was first on "lollipop 5.0" after I rooted it I got some problems with applying the same exact custom patch that I have been using all this time.
One of these apps I want to apply a patch on is called "sing! Smule"
..When I try to make a modified version with the patch it works and I get that "all access pass" (it means that the patch works and lucky patcher could apply it normally but the app crashes before it gets to the recording screen which means that there's no use of it anymore. (well this is normal in this case coz the patch should be applied directly with root to get it working
..so when I apply the patch directly, lucky patcher says it is okay and everything done just fine "as before" but this time nothing changes at all .. not even what the modified version does.
And now I'm on "marshmallow 6.0 and I have the same problem and also when I moved the app to sdcard, lucky patcher has no access to any files and keeps on saying "app files are not found .. check the location /data/dalvik-cashe/* to solve the problem.
So I just wanna understand where the problem is .. it looks like that lucky patcher couldn't have access to the system files or the sdcard .. maybe it doesn't support supersu.. I don't really know.
So please If you could just tell me where the problem is and how to fix it that would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Waiting for your help.
Cheers

All what i know is, you MUST move the app/games etc. on the Internal Storage, other way it will not work.
You have 100% functionality when you dont move the app/games on the sd card. The problem is on the sd card have you no special access or whatever. i have tried it many times, it will not work. but warez is warez so no Comment more for your Thread.

Dude you didn't read what I said clearly.
The app was first on the internal storage and it failed to apply the custom patch .. then I tried to move it to the sdcard and got this message. So from the beginning there's something wrong with lucky patcher and I want to know why it refuses to work properly now.
PS: it was previously working with the app on the sdcard on other phones as I used kingoroot for rooting most of these devices which is not yet supporting our p8 lite .. so im assuming that lucky patcher is not compatible with supersu.
Hi,
Lucky Patcher talk not permitted on XDA.

Hi together
I just got my new S2 tab 9.7" wifi. I took the SD-card from my S4 phone and put it in the tab. Now it sees how much free space is on the card, it also sees the folders, but no files. I also can't write on the card.
What do I do wrong?
Many tks!

If you are using mm, you need to give the file manager explicit permission to write to the sdcard.
The file manager should ask for this permission.

MM = Marshmallow
Tks
I felt it's a stupid question...
It's strange. Android sees the card in Settings/memory. It also sees that 51 GB of 59 are full. But only sometimes it also sees the files. Sometimes it only sees the folders, and when opening them they seem to be empty. Just no files can be seen. But once it even worked to open Fotos on the SD-card, change something and save it again...
That's really strange, and I have no more idea what I could try else?

Use a different file manager. If you're rooted the best is root explorer.
They also have a free non root version called Explorer or try ES Explorer.

I already did that. The phone is rooted, TWRP on it. Since Total Commander didn't work on the SD card, and also the built in file manager from Samsung I installed ES file explorer. And then it worked. But only for a short time. It's really strange.
Thanks for your help anyhow! I keep on trying and hoping...
Same here, tried several fm, and reformatted my Samsung evo+ 128gb from the tablet and win 7 still having issues.

You won't have any issues with root explorer.
Also MM manages sdcard access on a per app basis. The app must be mm compatible and request access permission.
App permissions can also be enabled/disabled in app manager.

tks ashyx. Yes, I already bought a new Samsung superfast card. This works now. Merry Christmas!
Had the same issue, it was definitively the card. Works perfectly with any file manager after getting a new one. Cheers
