My phone's home and back buttons are not working. Only, recent menu is working. help me out please.

my dpad button for right is not working anymore.
when i press it, i hear a errorclick sound, but no action.
in the worms game, it also does not work.
i flashed a new rom, but the problem persisted.
is it easy to fix/clean this button, or should it be repaired?
i tested the buttons with the navdbgtool.exe
it shows that the touch functionality still works, but pressing the button does nothing.
Hello I recently replaced the screen on my Tilt.
Now when I wake the phone up none of the buttons work (including keyboard) except for the center button which activates start menu and then start menu button which activates quickmenue (my start menu app).
This the funny part. If hit either the Start Menu button or the OK Button across from it then all my button work normally until the phone goes back to sleep then is woken by either pressing the power button or getting a call.
any ideas?

My home and back buttons don't show any form of backlight. Also when I double tap my home button my recent apps don't appear. When I just press the buttons once, they work like normal. Is there any way to bring the buttons back to normal.
I have a rooted phone with the stock rom.

maybe try a custom rom like ViperOne. it could be a hardware issue also
When my phone is put on a table the home buttons aren't working . Is this somthing in the settings?
So a while ago my screens LCD cracked and stopped working so forward a few months and I get a new screen, and everything was fine except for the fact that my menu and back buttons don't work. Because everyone I press the menu button, the little right click like options op open but then a second later the a finder opens. Everytime I trap the back button it does nothing, but if I tap the menu key then the back back button really fast then the menu stays open, I also noticed that if I press the back button with my s pen then it works.
I just really want to have the original features of my phone if anyone is having the same problem as me or just knows how to fix it please respond. Thank you
