I was looking for my sudden wifi switch off problems and I saw that Samsung s2, in the service mode has an option for some wifi on battery toggle that fixed this trouble .

Can somebody please advise a similar equivalent to that in Lenovo a7000 phone? I installed mtk engineering mode option but couldn't find that option.

Hi
I just have purchased a network free (sim free) 7 tab p1000 from the UK.
How do I give the device a name that displays on my wifi router so I know what it is, presently its just shows up a * ?
2nd question.
I first booted device with no network sim in and it asked me about how I want to connect to internet (none, wifi, wifi & 3G).
I put in sim just to check it worked (it did) but then removed sim as I am waiting a new one.
How do I switch off the 3g connection only (not airplane mode) ? (I still want to use wifi)
I can't see any menu option to do this and on my power meter, 48% power is taken by the non existent 3g connection.
thanks
Robin...
I found a strange thing that answered one of my questions.
heres how you disable cellular part of device :-
go to setting, activate flight mode
then go to wifi
turn wifi back on.
it works, no cellular but you still have wifi
now just need an answer on network name showing on my router.
cheers
wifi will still work in airplane mode.. you'll lose bluetooth though in airplane mode..
thanks, i doubt i will need bluetooth much, mainly i will use the device around house so don't want it connecting to mobile network and running up charges and if i take it out with me i want to control when it connects.
any ideas on router name showing up ?

Is your phone rooted?
I get that sort of thing sometimes with a bad kernel dirty flashed. Perhaps it's something similar?
Hi!
I'm trying to fix my phone that's been stuck in airplane mode since i can't remember. I got another one, but wanna make this one work. I've tried some stuff i've read but nothing... i've recently installed CM13 and no change. I can swap out of airplane mode, but i never get a signal. If i try to choose a network on my own it just says that something went wrong. People have had the same problem with the HTC One X, but i haven't seen much from Mini 2 users. Those guys tried different kernels and roms, but i don't know what to try.... any thoughts? Uploading a picture of my radio status.
Thanks in advance!
(edit: added two more pictures. When i hold down the power button it says that airplane mode is on, but in my notification bar and settings the airplane mode is off...)

Have you tried???
Bug occurs if you have WiFi Calling on when you turn off WiFi.
To fix :
1) Enable WiFi
2) Enable WiFi Calling
3) Let WiFi Calling re-establish itself.
4) Turn WiFi Calling off
5) Wait 10 seconds
6) Turn WiFi off.
Your 4g should be back.

Hello,
My phones battery was dead and when i rebooted my phone wifi and sim networks were not working. Then i tried to format the phone but it didn't let me do it because it cannot connect to internet hence i wiped out the data using combination of keys.
But still wifi and sim slots are not working and now i am in deep trouble as i don't think usb debugging and oem are enabled. So not sure how to flash the device.
Is there is any way to solve this problem? I came across the similar thread on forum but couldn't find the steps to fix the issue.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Thanks,
Ashutosh
Hello,
Today I have received Tasker V6, and I was very happy to find that it is now possible to turn ON/OFF Airplane Mode easily. It works great.
Now I want to turn ON WiFi while Airplane Mode ON, but I Tasker says that it is not possible to toggle/change WiFi since API 29 [while in Airplane Mode]. Which is weird, because I can do it manually since years.
I have tried inserting the instruction Airplane Radios before, but Airplane Radios itself always returns "Error: 1". This is with all the possible combinations of checkboxes ticked. There is something wrong with "Airplane Radios"? Or it requires root to work?
The ultimate goal I want is to put my phone fixed into VoWiFi (voice over WiFi) when I am at my office, which has a very bad signal strength.
I am using Tasker 6 on a Galaxy S22 Ultra. No root. Android 12.
Thank you very much.
@paggps try your question over at the r/tasker Reddit forum. The Developer is very responsive there. Maybe question already addressed perhaps...
