Looks like the first custom rom has alread popped up! :highfive:

Also with recovery!
Made by @Grarak, the saviour of the OnePlus 2. Strange he's not made a rom thread in this forum yet, possibly waiting until it's more stable, he said there were a few issues with it but I think it might be before OnePlus actually released source.

Hey guys I'm pretty new to this device. So I need a little advice of the already familiar users here. I'm pretty sure that each developer worked really hard to build their following recoveries for our device that's why I don't want to be disrespectful by asking this.
I've seen 3 twrp builds till now
1.Official one.
2.Blue spark one.
3.Twrp in the unified toolkit.
So out of all these which one has most of the things working and has least bugs?
blu spark is best
Use the latest from Bluspark, it's updated and works fine.
Sent from Funk Tuned 3T
Unified 3.0.4-1,official 3.1.1-0,Blu_spark recovery,
All work fine.
Greetings Friends,
I have seen very little development or developers for this device is very rare because the A1 before releasing the Kernel already had development, and this device was already released the kernel but I still see little development.
Yeah i dunno why developers not intrested in this device
How long ago did they start selling these devices?

Longer than A1 when it takes first customs
Before Launching the source code of the A1 Kernel and there were ROMS and Magisk modules for this phone, the participation is very minimal, I think they were all for the RN5.
I just hope developers will have a look at Mi A2. Is it too early to expect development?

Lineage for the A1 started 6 months after the release.
edit: Also the Pie update is near so probably nobody wants to waste time on bringing up a 8.1. based rom.
Another thing is that it has Treble GSI A/B support, so you can install a variety of already popular roms right off the bat. I know a custom kernel is under development that has both overclock and underclock as well. I am currently using the Arrow GSI rom and it works very well. I have xposed and root, I also get way better battery life than with the stock rom. The only bug I have is the front flashlight turns on when I use the front camera. You can flash any of the A/B roms on this site if you want more roms.
It even includes Pie roms and lineage os. I see no reason devs would want to spend time making something that already exists.
They will most likely work on kernel development/tweaks to fix bugs in the already existing treble roms, like the camera bug in the rom I am using.
Hey folks. I hope you guys are doing well.
I want to know that should I install custom rom on my redmi 4x? Will it create problem for my device for long term use? If not, then which custom rom is the most stable out there and fast as well. Literally which one will be the best? I want your help. Thanks!
Since there isn't any good compact budget phones out there and I had to change several apps I use because they're not compatible with the 4x's software anymore, I've been researching about this.
The most recommended ROM is PixelExperience, the main downside about it is that has been discontinued. It works on Android 10 and that's an improvement over the 7.1 we have. Here: https://download.pixelexperience.org/santoni
Another one quite recommended is Lineage OS. This one has not been discontinued as far as I know but works on Android 9. Look: https://lineageosroms.com/santoni/
With all the custom roms, just like official ones, there always will be users that say something is not working properly.
I haven't tried any custom rom, ok? I just googled a lot about the options.
Good luck.

Unfortunately Lineage OS stopped official builds for the Redmi 4X this year, when they stopped the 16 builds (official blog post).

From personal experience, I've used Lineage OS 15 and 16 since I bought this phone over 2 years ago. And it has been working great. It takes a beginner some time to get used to flashing, recoveries, testing new ROMs, etc. but that should not be a big issue. The Linage OS wiki has a very good tutorial on how to set the phone up, it should mostly work with other ROMs too https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/santoni/install
Dear developer we respect you
But I'm worried why no custom ROM development has started for this phone yet i bought this phone because its camera was very good i believe it is a best phone with all features like a iphone But I'm disappointed that none of the developers have started custom ROM development yet. If it is possible then please start custom rom development for this phone even TWRP recovery is also available for this phone but still no custom rom
We expect to see custom ROMs for Xiaomi 12 Pro in the coming time
Thanks you very much
Dear Developer

Dear all, a few months back, I saw that there was someone who posted the orangefox recovery for Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, but the post either got deleted because the forum rules were not followed or got revoked, and now lost there somewhere. So does anyone know anything if any test version / unofficial version is available or underway? Also, in general I noticed that Mi 11 Ultra has quite less development in terms of modules and roms. Is there any particular reason for that (I really apreciate and respect all developers, this was just more out of curiosity)? Furthermore, there is also not an unofficial/ official Nethunter support for our devices. Thanks and best wishes, Siddhesh!

Thanks for the prompt reply. Oh yes, of course that is the one I am using at the moment. But Orangefox just has loads of additional features and looks better. That's why I was asking about it. Just felt a bit weird since it has been alread 1.5 years after our devicewas released and we don't have anything yet on O.F.
