Hi
This morning I got the notification on my XT1092 GB/UK Model that Lollipop was available so I accepted the update.
The phone downloaded the package, rebooted but now it won't start. All I'm getting is the android with red exclamation mark on "No Command." I've tried following the help on the Motorola site that suggests wiping the partition cache but it's not helped. It's still rebooting all the time.. Now I'm stuck...
What do I need to do to recover the firmware? Is there any way I can get the GB Retail firmware from somewhere and side load it using a cable?
Many thanks
Simon
Update, I have got into recovery mode and got to the point where I can use ADB - drivers installed on computer and I have downloaded
RETGBALL_XT1092_5.0_LXE22.46-19_cid7_CFC.xml.zip
I tried to sideload the above file which uploads fine through ADB but then I get the following:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
Installation aborted.
What am I doing wrong here? This is a GB XT1092 model so the above lollipop firmware is the only one available for this phone as far as I'm aware.
Anyone?

Where did you get hold of that from? I'm in a similar situation and I've been looking for the stock image to recover everything from...
Hi there,
My Moto G (2nd Gen)(XT1068) got stuck at the white screen with the green M logo. I'm able to boot into bootloader mode, but get the "boot up failed" when trying to enter into recovery from the menu
Cell is unrooted, original stock fw (KitKat->Lollipop).
I know, there are related threads. I did try reading many already, but couldn't get clear indications on how to proceed...
At this point I'd just like to understand what this error means, what the root cause is, and on what I should focus on to try to fix it... i.e. what not to try (so I know what to skip while going through all posts)
BTW, I tried to reflash stock with adb/fastboot, but got stuck with a "Preflash validation failed" error down the road when executing "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Is this due to the previous "boot up failed" error"
Many thanks indeed for your help!!!
I have got the same problem. trying to solve it already checked on the net found no help. if I make it will let you guys know
I have had this device for 8 months and had SlimLS on it with no problems until I decided to switch to a different Rom that was more recent. I initially attempted to install Lineage which did not work. and when I booted back to Slim I was missing Root and SuperSU and any kind of app store and browser. I then attemped to adb sideload Slim and got E: failed to verify whole-file signature at 46%. I attempted another reboot, and it now loops the amazon logo and nothing else. I can go into recovery but every attempt to sideload through adb gets the same error. I have also tried rebooting to the bootloader and if I try to boot anything from there it fails as well. I have tried multiple "solutions" I have found and none have worked.
I'm not sure where to go next, have I bricked this? am I doing something wrong?

You have a 5th gen "Fire" as root (and therefore custom ROMs) are unavailable on the 7th gen Fire 7.
You can't sideload a custom ROM from stock recovery - only FireOS. Your only recourse at this point is to rebuild the device as delivered. Given the 8 month timefrsme it likely had a more recent build of FireOS prior to installing SlimLS. Recommend sideloading version FireOS 5.3.1.
Upon rebooting your device will immediately attempt to update to a higher rev of FireOS. You must not let that happen! When it asks for the WiFi password hit cancel to maintain network isolation. If you AP does not have a password move to a different location. Once FireOS full boots place the device in flight (airplane) mode and leave it there until ready to root.
You can then use the SuperTool to root, block OTA updates and prepare your device for reinstallation of a custom ROMs. Only two are actively supported: Nexus and Lineage 12.1.
Consult other threads in the forums for further guidance.
Hey everyone,
after spending about 5 hours trying everything I could think of and what I found in all kinds of forums, I'll try here before the phone is gonna be burried.
Got a "dead" P10 from a friend - booted straight to an error page with the headline "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly." My guess is that it was supposed to be updated, didn't have enough memory and then crashed.
Here's what I tried:
Factory reset - aborts at about 25%.
Download of a new firmware version via WLAN - aborts
Upload via SD-Card (dload) - firmware update failed
The phone is not recognized on the PC - so wouldn't know how to flash it from there.
I can still access it via fastboot, but I actually don't now how that could help me
Can anyone think of anything else that could be done?
LG
Maxi
Somebody got any idea?
