Some of my notifications are severely delayed. My fire department uses edispatches as a secondary means of paging us for calls. Mine does not go off until hours after the call. MMS is also extremely delayed. Is there anything that could be causing this?

hi ,
read my post # 2 and # 4 etc.. (in this thread ,link below ) also ,look at screenshots, in my relevant posts .

It might help .???
good luck
That was one of the first things I checked when I noticed the problem. It is set to allow notifications set as priority and to never save power. I emailed the developer to are if it is a possible issue on their end.

Hi ,
I noticed that you say in your first post ,"some " of my
Notifications ..? So you do get notifications (on time )
Only this relevant app you have issues with ?
Also your have set the app to "turned off "power saving etc ..
Thus, for me i would agree with you, that it points to relevant app issues ..not optimized for your Device/Marshmallow ?
Good luck
Only this app and a weather one but the weather one I can do without. I'm thinking it's just not ready for marshmallow yet.

Hi i am the proud owner of an amazing Razr i but i have discovered one issue as it may or may not be. When recieving emails or sms messages the screen does not light up does anyone else have this issue i find it quite annoying
Mine doesn't do this either, I assumed it was normal...

Although i am very impressed with this phone i think this is quite a flaw the phone should definetly light up on incoming emails texts etc. I hope they bring out an update to fix it.

It`s not a flaw. There`s a LED to notify you, no need to waste battery using the screen.
You could also use the new active notifications app, it works very well.

Oh what is active notification app i have not seen that it is not in my settings.

The phone says out loud everything I press, it's sooo annoying. Talk Back feature isnt enabled. I actually use the calculator on my phone alot this sucks. Any help is appreciated

That sounds hilarious, sorry. As far as I saw, the only options for talking were in the extended options of language and input in settings. I'll dig around and see if I can find something. I'll definitely want it disabled myself.
I noticed this today at the worst possible time in a middle of a meeting. Can't find an option to turn it off.
Went through there as well ,unless I'm not checking something correctly... could you check your calculator app and tell me if your having the same problem?
Just got this phone and never messed around with any of thoose kind of settings anyways.

Yeah. Never tried it before
Did you give any app pemissions in accessibility. If you did read this image i attached. When you give some apps permission Samsung has some issues sometimes with the voice kicking on but Samsung actually had a work around built right into the phone.
Have recreated your problem just do the work around which the phone does for you.

I have not given any apps permission in accessibility . How am I supposed to do a work around if the phone does it for me? Appreciate your help but I'm not completely understanding you.

This is how I shut off mine. Under Accessibility if you have anything under Services, turn them off. I had Greenify on and it made my calculator talk, but once I shut it off, calculator stopped talking. Hope it helps.
Found this page with people having same issue. Seems like tmobile and att is the pattern. Tmobile here. Greenify not installed. Double checked all my settings too.

You have to click on the settings button thats below whatever app you would have given permission look at my pic i posted you will see the settings listed at the bottom but since you say you didn't do that then there is no workaround. Did you turn on a app you didn't necessarily had to do it in accessibility some apps will just do it automatically. Can you tell me what apps you may have installed that help with battery or after market lockscreen just anything you can think of

Alright got it to finally shut up ! I cleared cache and data on the calculator app then I started getting a notification for the workaround from Greenify I guess . Whatever, it's done now and thank you guys ! What caused all this on a out of the box new note 4? It should have been easier than all that

Neither
NOTE 4
On my phone, it was caused by activating Greenify in the accessibility settings. When I did that, I got a popup telling me that my default language didn't match TTS. It offered me options of canceling, going to settings, or enabling TalkBack. So, for some reason, activating Greenify activates TalkBack. Voila. Talking calculator.
Wondered if anyone else has problems getting some of the tasked stuff to work with lolipop. I personally can't get secure settings plugin to work now with the pattern lock disable and re enable. any ideas?
Same issue. It'll "fix" itself to the correct seeing after a reboot. Haven't worked on it to figure out why though.

I appreciate it but I think I will wait on a legit fix from the devs. I guess that's the price you pay when you have the newest of the new.

No worries. It seems like the device admin isn't sticking (as mentioned in one of the links) When I toggle it then it toggles the pin. Until it's officially fixed I've resorted to using location trusted places (hope they do a Wi-Fi trusted location soon).
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
I actually removed some of the deeper system level tasks I've been using with securesettings in the past on my N6. I assumed many of them wouldn't work with the new OS and didn't feel like mucking around with them. If possible, the devs will figure it out eventually.
Thread revival!
Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a Nexus 6 and I was wondering if all of the tasker problems have been resolved by now?

Awesome. Thanks for the quick reply!
Anybody know why Tasker can't turn on WIFI tether through either the system or secure settings? I've tried this now on three different ROMs.
So I found a workaround---- visit the Tasker Groups at this post here.
Has anyone notice this new addition in the battery setting? If I'm not mistaken. This wasn't part of the previous update.

Do you mean the ability to pick apps to hibernate? If so, that has been around for a few months already and showed up like 3 or so updates ago.
Really? Wow not sure why I'm just seeing this.

It's a bit different now and accessible only thorough battery app
Is this the same as smart manager? I dont have anything in my battery settings that does anything.
This is a different type of setting it looks like. That's not a hibernation. Not sure when it does, optimizing the apps . But new settings are always welcome
I can't seem to get MMS/Group text. When I use the default messenger app, after about 10-15 minutes or 20 texts, all my threads disappear and I can't send any texts. If I restart my phone, everything is there again, but issue reoccurs.
I downloaded 3rd party apps to get around this, e.g. Textra, which worked. Except, I still don't receive MMS/Group Text after about 10-15 minutes or 20 texts in. Then I have to restart just to receive pictures.
I've tried manually inputting the APN and crap, and still nothing.
Any advice? Thanks!!!

^ This is the current ROM i am using, and I dont see any posts about having trouble with MMS/Group Text.
Might have something to do with the modded n5 messages app included in that rom. I would try posting your question in the rom thread to see if others are experiencing same issue.

If you get no response, perhaps consider another n5 rom with more active development and user participation.

Do you have a suggestion? This whole ROM and flashing thing is still new to me.
I've been quietly considering Overdrive's rom but I can't speak from experience since I haven't tried any of them. I would guess Tekhd for customizing and hobby enthusiasts and Overdrive for stability.
