Wondered if anyone else has problems getting some of the tasked stuff to work with lolipop. I personally can't get secure settings plugin to work now with the pattern lock disable and re enable. any ideas?
Same issue. It'll "fix" itself to the correct seeing after a reboot. Haven't worked on it to figure out why though.

I appreciate it but I think I will wait on a legit fix from the devs. I guess that's the price you pay when you have the newest of the new.

No worries. It seems like the device admin isn't sticking (as mentioned in one of the links) When I toggle it then it toggles the pin. Until it's officially fixed I've resorted to using location trusted places (hope they do a Wi-Fi trusted location soon).

I actually removed some of the deeper system level tasks I've been using with securesettings in the past on my N6. I assumed many of them wouldn't work with the new OS and didn't feel like mucking around with them. If possible, the devs will figure it out eventually.
Thread revival!
Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a Nexus 6 and I was wondering if all of the tasker problems have been resolved by now?

Awesome. Thanks for the quick reply!
Anybody know why Tasker can't turn on WIFI tether through either the system or secure settings? I've tried this now on three different ROMs.
So I found a workaround---- visit the Tasker Groups at this post here.

FAQ
What devices are supported?
All of them! Well....if you have NFC at least.
What if I get locked out and lose all my keys?
Not to worry! Tapping on the app icon on the lockscreen will temporarily disable the lock, allowing you to authenticate with your Gmail account.
What NFC tags should I get, and where should I get them?
Within the app you can find a section called "Purchase NFC Tags". Here you can find a couple different sites that sell NFC tags which I have found cheap/cool/interesting/share worthy.
Can I use my NFC Key for storing other data still? I want to use it to trigger a <insert random action trigger here>
Currently, no.
Bugs and Issues
I dont think there are any. Please let me know what you find.
Awesome. Look forward to it. Any way of implementing multi user with android 4.2? Nexus 7 and such. Each kid has a key ring? Sounds legit

If you mean each key will unlock you to a off user, that's currently impossible until Google releases some open APIs for account management.
What you can do though is install the app on all the seperate user accounts and set different keys for each. The child would have to switch their account before scanning the key, but it would - i think - give you the result you're looking for.

Can't wait to try this at home. I have a bunch of Andytags(.com) everywhere. Should be interesting.
Sent from the Mars Rover.
Its really best if youre able to get them on something you have with you constantly. The idea is to make it secure, not to be a pain in the ass to unlock your device. Try sicking one on your wallet so you have to tap your pocket, or maybe in your belt.
Someone saw this thread last night and contacted us about getting some NFC hardware to go along with our app, so hopefully soon well be able to provide some nice and convenient tags instead of slapping stickers everywhere.

You can pick them up for stupid cheap on that site i mentioned above.
Sounds cool. Is it possible to make this process even quicker? Like simply tapping on a tag to unlock the phone?
I think you could probably achieve that by removing your lock screen, but as far as a stock device with NFC goes, your device won't actually scan anything unless the screen is on and the device is unlocked.

Really like the idea but could you impliment the HFC hack so it works with screen off?

Hi
I've had my pebble smartwatch for a at least 4 months now and I like it. I recently updated to V2.0 and everything looked good. My only gripe was that there was no way to display the watch battery status until now. I was today browsing for some new watchfaces and I came across this:
http://www.mypebblefaces.com/apps/852/7111/
I know it works only with iOS devices. I have the "Glance" app on my android phone and like it, but I would appreciate if someone knows of a way to get this particular watchface using "Glance" (or any other method).
I'm also open to other similar watchfaces that display both the pebble battery status and my phone battery status.
Help appreciated.. Thanks
Max

You can try creating your own Glance customization. You need to pay for that (premium) but you could end with something similar to that. I don't see why you need to know the battery at all times, just press the mid button on Glance and you'll have the battery on the top-right corner...
That is easily made using canvas, most likely somebody has made one you modify to suit your needs

Hey guys, in the screenshot that setting to have Google always on, keeps turning off but for the love of me I don't know why, any advice?
When I switch from enhanced to basic and back to enhanced again, it does allow me to flip the switch for always on again, but as you can imagine if k have to do that, the whole thing becomes pretty useless, used to work just fine btw :banghead:

Does anyone have car mode on their note?
I cant find it on mine. Checked in the status bar options and also all through the settings with no luck.
I heard that aome carrier versions do not have it. Im wondering if im in that boat (i purchased mine on a plan through Telstra). Mine seems to be a standard version though as there is no physical carrier branding on the phone, only incthe software when it boots up.
Im really surprised and disappointed that with todays techniology, i have a phone that cant assist me with the likes of reading back emails, sms, etc and all thst handsfree stuff while driving.
Please tell me theres a way i can add this function. If need bw im happy to install a different firmware that had this included.

I think it is a carrier thing, not sure though. You can Google Samsung Car Mode and there is an XDA member who uploaded one that works on the SM-N920I version.
Legendary! Found, installed, abd now one safe happy driver. Thank you!
Im going to have a look and see if i can install the stock standard OS without the carrier restrictions and apps. Seems silly to remove such a useful tool. Hate to know what else im missing

You can get it from galaxy apps.

i have it, experiencing a lot if little issues, also needs to be more customizable....
Originally it wouldn't show up in the galaxy app store. A week ago it did. Downloaded it and have some issues with it so I have removed it for now. After using it Google voice won't hear me and also have issues with using a Bluetooth headset with it.

Some of my notifications are severely delayed. My fire department uses edispatches as a secondary means of paging us for calls. Mine does not go off until hours after the call. MMS is also extremely delayed. Is there anything that could be causing this?

That was one of the first things I checked when I noticed the problem. It is set to allow notifications set as priority and to never save power. I emailed the developer to are if it is a possible issue on their end.

Hi ,
I noticed that you say in your first post ,"some " of my
Notifications ..? So you do get notifications (on time )
Only this relevant app you have issues with ?
Also your have set the app to "turned off "power saving etc ..
Thus, for me i would agree with you, that it points to relevant app issues ..not optimized for your Device/Marshmallow ?
Good luck
Only this app and a weather one but the weather one I can do without. I'm thinking it's just not ready for marshmallow yet.
