Mobile data toggle in quick settings, Marshmallow - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After upgrade to Marshmallow, mobile date toggle opens data usage menu, though it was quickly switchable in Lollipop.
Any clues? Anyone has the same issue? Could not find any similar thread.

toggle mobile data on/off

i used to have a widget on my htc hero that could turn on/off mobile data network aswell as wlan, gps and so on, think it was called power manager.
But after i migrated to the lg optimus 2x, no such option is available, even tho it appears to be the same widget as on my old phone.
I tryed searching for this but could not find anything useful, so i ask you guys if you heard of anything that could enable/disable mobile data network.
I would love to get the option in the status bar next to the current toggles (wlan, gps, rotation and so on), but a widget would suffice.
Cyanogen rom has the options to toggle all that.
For stock rom check in the market place for APNON widget
As a widget I use widgetsoid and would recommend it. You can customise what is on it and also the look to a certain extent. Been good for me
my first post was a bit unclear..
The other toggles i list in my first posts are already in the drop-down status menu, the one im missing is the mobile data network toggle.
i´ll check the widgetsoid, thanks for the hint!
Or try "Elixier", lots of toggle functions.
Market Link:

Try quick settings
I would recommend Widgetsoid.
Elixir is good in function, but it uses a lot of power. My battery drained twice as fast with Elixir compared to Widgetsoid..

[Q] Widget replacing series of screentaps?

Due to my wonderful provider (KPN Mobile in The Netherlands) I have a very very poor reception at home. Causing simple telephone conversations to be cut off. They have only one solution: indoors I should use Wifi, switch off Mobile Data plus change Network Mode to GSM only.
Indeed that works, but it is crazy to do that every time I get home. It involves 11 screentaps:
settings - Wif-Fi on - back - More settings - Mobile Networks - Mobile data OFF - Network Mode - GSM Only - back - back - back.
Then, when I step outside, I have to repeat the whole process, disbaling Wi-Fi, enabling mobile data and setting Network Mode to 4G.
Would there be a widget, or is there some simple way of programming, to replace all these taps with one?
I am on Android 4.1.2, the phone is not rooted.
Both wifi and mobile data ON / OFF are on the quick settings drop down panel at the top of your screen.

Thanks for your quick reply! Unfortunately there is no quick-setting for changing the Network Mode, and exactly that causes several needed screentaps, even via the quick-menu:
slide-down - Wif-Fi ON - long-press Mobile Data - Mobile data OFF - Network Mode - GSM Only - back.
So indeed, 7 instead of 11.
Still, it would be preferable to have a widget on the homescreen or some kind of script to replace this series of "keystrokes" with one tap ....
NFC task launcher
Tasker is another possible .

Right ... checked both Tasker and NFC Task Launcher. What I noticed is that no external program can change the Network Mode, due to rights-management in Android. Only one of the two can do that when Cyanogenmod is applied, and I am on stock.
So what i did now was place https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.softxperience.android.switchnetworktype&hl=en on the homescreen, from there it is only one extra tap to Network Mode.
What I would be looking for now, is one little app that toggles between Wi-Fi and Mobile Data.
Something like the G/3G switch, preferably a program to be put on the homescreen (not a widget), that with one tap simply toggles
Wi-Fi OFF and Mobile Data ON
Wi-Fi ON and Mobile Data OFF
So far I have not found such a thing ... every app I found strictly toggles either Wi-Fi or Mobile Data on and off, but not toggling between them.

Android L Mobile Data Toggle

How can I toggle mobile data on Android L?
I have power toggles which has a mobile data toggle option but using it opens the actual mobile data settings page.
Kit kat used to let me toggle it without the settings page opening each time.
There are some apps that work on L apparently, but for root users only. Toggle cell radio 5.0 for example.

On lollipop you can toggle mobile data in the quick settings only... I have attached a screenshot for ur reference.
Got it thanks
If you have root you might want to try my app/widget Toggle Data 5.0.

(?) QS data panel on dualsim

Hey, I have realised that on 1064/1063, if you tap the mobile network quick setting, it will open a panel right on the quick settings page.
On 1068/1069 roms, due to the possibility of having two sims with different data plans, if you tap that button it will open settings app and that stuff...
So, I was wondering if does someone know how to enable that panel on a dualsim rom, it would really usefull.
Thanks

Data toggle is nowhere to be found

Hi,
I recently updated my newly bought note 5 from android 6 to android 7. Weirdly, when it was on the old version it had a data toggle in the notification panel. After update it totally vanished.
It is not even available when you go to reorder buttons to access the extra buttons.
Is there a way to fix this? I have the T mobile version of note 5
Thanks
same. anyone with a solution ?
I have solved the problem.
I have rooted my device (systemless) with magisk. Then I used an app called Nugot/ Oreo quick settings.
This app doesn't need root for most toggles but it needs it for the data toggle for some reason.
