With low power mode enabled my status bar turns grey completely no matter the app or launcher i use. Also have good lock installed. Can I disable the grey bar without turning off low power mode?
probably not unless you Root or keep it charging. hehe

Okay, thanks. Didn't know if there was a way or not. I appreciate your response.

I noticed it after Marshmallow as well. I'd have preferred it the other way around instead - if it were grey while charging.
edit: have you tried changing your theme, possibly?

No, i didn't think the theme would affect it, but maybe it would. I'll mess around with it when i get home.

doesn't seem to work. I guess they want to make sure you're able to quickly tell when you're in Power Save mode.

I guess I was hoping for a little more detail than that.
More powerful how, precisely? Does it boost the signal strength by pushing more power into the phone's signal? Enable different networking standards? Up-clock the circuitry?
One thing it certainly seems to do is absolutely pulverise the battery; I'd like to know what the trade-off is.

Best WiFi performance, silly
Seriously, I switched it on and off. No difference. ~47Mb/s down, ~15Mb/s up.
I've never got more than 15Mb/s up no matter what settings I use.
in my opinion it is just for signal strength...

Well, there is a similar feature for the Note II and what it does is allow you to hang onto poor wifi connections which will drain more battery so the option is disabled by default.. Maybe that's what it is on the HTC One too??
Anybody using this?
I'm having trouble with my push notifications over wifi (being delayed if the screen is off) and I think it has helped me receive them.
Does it drain much more battery?

You probably have Sleep Mode turned on in the Power settings. If you use Power Saver, you might have ticked the Data connection box too.

I've checked them both. Unfortunately not.
And also wifi is on Always On.
That's why I'm trying to find anything else.
3G works fine. I'm not sure if I have the same problem in other wifi networks. One I tried today seemed to work fine.
But I'm checking now whatever option I have.

Good luck!!! :good:
Hi,
I used the Mini Launcher and now it seems that the sensitivity / reaction of the watch has changed.
Now it needs only little movement of the wrist - half a turn - and the light goes on.
It just lights up much too often now.
Is it possible that the Mini Launcher is the cause or must it be something else?
I did a reset twice, but no change.
Is there the possibility to do a hard reset? How is it done?
Thanks!
I noticed it too. But I like it.

Hi AMoosa,
thanks for your reply.
Do you also think that the Mini Launcher caused this?
I agree, in a way it might even be better now, but on the other hand the battery will be sucked dry.
Isn't it strange not being able to reverse the change by resetting the device?
Thanks!

We did get an update around when the launcher came out. Maybe its the update?

Thanks for the idea, but no. I installed the Mini Launcher later than the update.
It really bugs me that the watch lights up all the time sucking battery juice.
A standard reset did not change a thing. Is there a possibility to make a "harder" reset than the standard one in the menu?
Thanks!
Friedhelm
Everything is in the title, is it possible to prevent access to the notification panel when the P10 is locked. I had an option like that on my last Xiaomi, but I can not find it on the huawei. Thank you in advance.
sorry, maybe dump question, why would someone need that?
I use this app called Smart Lockscreen Protector. It allows you present access to the notifications and power off screen while the phone is locked. You're going to have to install the apk because it's not apparently compatible with the P10 but it works fine on mine
I prefer to keep control over some functions like Bluetooth activation, switching to silent mode. Thank you for your answers.

why would someone do that? I am not offensive i just try to understand.

yes I'm afraid lol. Are you serious ? What are these questions ??
I am serious. I try to understand why do someone need that.
I personally like it, because i can activate bluetooth (when i go to my car), or NFC (when i use Android pay or get BT connection) without even unlocking the device.
In reality, it's mostly the fact of having lost that option and habit that I had on my xiaomi. Knowing that someone can access these options annoys me, without scare me lol. I have become so used to unlocking my phone (which is very fast on the P10) that I do not find it interesting to have access to this status bar from the lock screen. Nevertheless, I understand that you may need this access. I hope that answers your question.

So here is something that I'm having since day one and it's puzzling me.
From time to time, after I use Assistant or the Android Auto app (standalone, not connected to a car), the phone will start doing the colored Google dots animation every time I press the home button (not only when press and holding to open Assistant).
Only way to stop it is restarting the phone.
Anyone knows why's that?

Stock launcher and stock (living stones) theme.

Running on B131.

Guys I thinks it's wise to remember that Huawei is not actually true android. Hence the reason why Huawei does not pay a single cent to Google. With this always in mind you have to always expect glitches of some kind. And let's not forget that with the different regions in the world, there are going to be slight differences with the firmware as well, even if the firmware is meant to be the same.
Make no mistake, Huawei is awesome!!! The mate series have the best hardware I think, out of all the brand's, hence why they are phablets but again, you still have to expect glitches. So as far as functionality goes, their not like Samsung, but their pretty bloody good enough. And with my mate 9pro, I'm going all out on it as I know the hardware can handle lilo boot, normal phone mode and windows 10....as soon as I get round to it that is lol.

1- what's is "true" Android for you?
2- what do you know about the licensing of Google services for certificated devices?
Anyways, going back to the topic. If someone is having the same issue lemme know.

Lol, I saw the same behavior in the P20 pro yesterday at a store.
I don't know if it's supposed to do so or what lol
Same thing here. I kinda like it
Morning. I hate automatic light mode, i always turn it off, but on my p30 pro it cames ON alone everytime i turn off and than on my phone, so every morning i must change the setting again. Someone had the same problem and know what to do?
I made a reset 2 times.
Finally if the light of the screen is not setted at the the top the screen is flickering(the light became slower) with some application like chrome or whatsapp.(i turn ed off "sunlight reading mode from "developers option")
Someone can help?
happens to me but only after updates.
