I did an Odin install of MM for the 910T stock rom and unfortunately tried the encryption. I thought it would give me the option to decrypt, but that is not the case.
I was able to root after the encryption using the method here:
Root/Recovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...overy-n910t-t3-marshmallow-pe3-guide-t3406870)
Xposed (http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/general/pe3-xposed-n910t-t3-marshmallow-t3406950)
What I want to do is go back to an un-encrypted state.
What is safe to wipe using TWRP?
I know nothing aboit encryption but......First thing I would try is odin again and start over.

That is the intention, tried a reset but the encryption was still there and I used an Odin install yet nothing was changed or altered when I rebooted.
What I need to know is what can be safely wiped in the advanced wipe in TWRP.
Everything. Twrp might be able to decrypt. But u should be able to factory reset and then odin restore all.

Hello!
Device: i9305
ROM: sentinel v5.0
Recovery: TRWP 2.6.3.0
Timeline:
1.ROM flashed and everything working fine
2.Phone encrypted using Settings->Security->Encrypt and Exchange email account installed. (battery drain became very high)
3.Boot to recovery but TWRP not able to mount /data (says "password failed" even though it is the right pass.. I performed many system reboots and every time the phone decrypted and booted). Only recovery not doing it.
4. attempted full wipe, format data, etc.. but it always failed
5. attempted Restoring previous nandroid (made before encryption with TRWP of ROM Rremix 4.07). It seemed to work
Current Problem:
1. On boot phone asks for password to decrypt (the decrypting little green android image shows up) but it then freezes during ROM boot
2. Cannot access recovery (HOME+VOLUME UP+POWER)
EDIT 3. I can access download mode and connect to PC and Odin recognizes it
Question:
How can I simply format the internal memory to then re-flash a recovery and ROM?
Or any other suggestions on how to get the phone to work again?
Thank you for your help!
cheers
progress report
Hello!
I got the correct stock ROM for my phone from SamMobile (I9305XXBMD4) and Odin flashed it (PDA option).
Odin said PASS.
However, during boot it still asks for encryption password (and the right password is not accepted). Recovery is also still not accessible.
So, I need a away to get ODIN to really format the internal SD or similar to actually remove the encryption. So, here comes the question: will Re-partition do it (correct PIT file needed and instructions)? And I know using it is half-way towards a completely bricked phone... so I accept suggestions (flash count is not 1 so no warranty service options yet...)!!
thank you!
cheers
If you mess with partition or Pit you are likely to brick your phone with no warranty .
Its not just the rom counter that voids warranty .
Flashing Philz Recovery via Odin may allow you to format all .
It Worked!!!!

Thanks for the idea JJEgan.
I did install the Philz recovery via Odin and was able to select "Mounts ans Storage"-> "format /data and /data/media". This one worked with no errors.
Tried "Wipe Data/factory" reset and it also worked (no errors on not being able to mount /data)!
Then Odin Flashed Stock ROM (taken from SamMobile), reboot and it again asked for password! Removed battery and this time I could access the stock recovery.
Did wipe data/ factory reset + wipe cache.
Reboot and it works!
Now I just need to Root and enjoy the phone again!
Thank you all for the help!
If you have encrypted the phone with stock based ROM, you can also decrypt it. TWRP is not able to mount partition encrypted with Samsung's proprietary way of doing it.
If you have encrypted the phone with AOSP based ROM, and TWRP is not able to mount it, then something went wrong.

@!crazy: I encrypted while using AOSP Sentinel v5 ROM (see OP). ROM wise the phone seemed to be ok but TRWP recovery simply could not mount /data. Indeed, something went wrong.
In any case I went back to a stock based ROM to have full encrypt/decrypt compatibility because of Exchange email accounts I need to use.
I'm trying to flash chroma rom onto phone with leankernel/hells core and verizon 5.1 radio. May someone confirm this is the correct order? I'm currently on latest chroma with franco kernel. (i don't like dirty flashing )
1. Wipe everything but internal sd
2. Flash latest chroma
3. Flash latest leankernel/hellscore
4. Flash Gapps
5. Flash verizon radio 5.1
Should i also include Supersu in the steps?
Also, if my internal memory is getting a bit cluttered from apps and other random stuff, is there a way I can reset my phone to a rooted, bootloader unlocked, unencrypted state without doing a full reset to stock then doing everything over?

first off, why would you have to go back to stock???
secondly, the radio can be flashed at any time, no order involved in that.
thirdly, when you wipe data(everything but the SD storage), thats a factory reset. so, wipe data/system, flash chroma, flash the gapps, flash SuperSU(for root), then flash your kernel and reboot.
As long as you flash ROM first, doesn't matter about the order

Sorry, a clean sd card is simply one of those weird things I like(It might be ocd or something xD). When i had my s4, i would do a full reset to stock every time I flashed a rom because I didn't want any residual files left over. That being said, is there any simpler process to reset or clean the internal memory between flashing roms besides stock reset? What I'm talking about is some way to set or "reset" the nexus 6 to a unlocked, rooted, unencrypted, and twrped state but otherwise stock.

Make a backup in TWRP of your device when it's in that state. Then flash that backup whenever you want to return to that state.

just do a full wipe in twrp, itll clean out your storage. but move all the files that you want to save to your computer or they will be gone.

After I full wipe, I can use mtp to transfer the rom and gapps in twrp right? Or do I have to use adb ?

No worries. I'm not bothered about them. Really they're to be used in development threads to prevent flooding them with useless "thanks".posts
All,
I was rooted and installed twrp with PopRock rom. I decided I will return this phone via JUMP and wanted to unroot. I followed directions from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...uide-odin-to-stock-unrooted-firmware-t2957156
using odim 3.09 and firmware SM-N910T - N910TUVU1COD6 from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/general/untouched-lollipop-firmware-t3098187
Everything looked like it is working accordingly BUT after the firmware install and reboot, all of my data/apps/even my fingerprint unlock is still there.
Did I do something wrong? I thought by installing a firmware like I did automatically wipes the phone. Is there something I can do to check to make sure I am in fact back to unroot status? I check the 'about phone' and everything looks right, I went into recovery 'volume up/power/home button' and went into stock recovery and not twrp. Just perplexed that after the firmware install, my data/apps is still intact.
Also, when I return the phone back to T-Mobile, what do they check?
Thanks!
thats what odin does it doesnt wipe internal you have to do it in stock recovery and all they check is everything on the outside works. @Nutzzer

Ahhhh...did not know that. Ok, so all I have to do is wipe the phone via recovery and I should be good to go.
Thanks again!
So I tried installing Xposed Framework by flashing it's ROM, but after I did it, I rebooted my phone, but every time I do it, it always boots into TWRP recovery. I tried fixing it by looking in the setting and I used a backup I made before doing all this crap and I restored, but my phone still boots only into TWRP recovery mode. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me. Thanks.
PS. My phone is rooted and it has TWRP

Is it possible that you used the wrong Xposed for your device or SDK version? I can't imagine that restoring a backup didn't fix it. Did you try wiping system in TWRP first?
Things you can try:
- Flash the "Xposed Uninstaller" zip file in TWRP, which should always be on your device when you are flashing new versions of Xposed.
- Reflash TWRP in Odin. This should fix a recovery loop.
- Wipe system, data, dalvik, cache in TWRP, then try restoring your backup.
- As a last resort, you can download the latest stock firmware for your device from the sammobile site, flash it in Odin, let it boot once, reflash TWRP, wipe in TWRP and restore your backup (if you were running a custom rom you liked or something), then flash the correct Xposed for your device & android version.
Hope this helps!

Hello. I already tried zipping the uninstaller for xposed but it did nothing, I also tried wiping dalvik cache and all, but no luck. I also think that my backups are just not functional. Now I'm left to just reflashing TWRP and if that doesn't work I'll have to flash the original stock firmware for my phone. I have spent already 2 days with constant searching for ways to fix my phone and not being able to do other things because this has been taking up my time and my patience, so I really appreciate every bit of fixing my phone that I get. Since I am new to all this I would be very grateful if you could send me the links to the correct files for my device and also give me a tutorial on what to do. As I appreciate any support, so I'm thankful for you helping me But until then my device is still not able to boot regulary but rather boots to TWRP

Update:
I fixed my phone, and here's what I did, so if anyone is new here with the same issue I had, I hope this can help you. So first of all as I said I kept booting to TWRP, later I tried reflashing TWRP, but I remembered that I missed something in ODIN, so I just pulled the cord and my screen after rebooting just said something along the lines of "An unexpected error occurred while updating software, please recover using Samsung Smart Switch." after that, I tried Samsung Smart Switch, but it was no luck for me, so then I used the last resort. I went on sammobile.com, I searched stock firmware for the exact model I had and then I checked the stock firmware that was available. Since I'm from Latvia, I picked the Baltic region, then I downloaded the latest stock firmware. After a long time, I downloaded the file, and I checked the instructions on how to flash it, I flashed the stock firmware, and then my problem was fixed, my phone was working again and now I have Android 7.1.1 as I used to have Android 6.0.1 and I had ZERO file loss However as you flash the stock firmware, TWRP get "flashed" out and same with root if you have it, and in that case if you want TWRP and root again, I highly suggest Meziani's YoutTube channel, because he gives simple and working tutorials on how to do it I'm glad if this helped anyone.
First of all, I know that this question has been asked before but the solutions on those threads aren't what I'm looking. So please hear me out here.
So, I've been trying to find out how to completely restore my phone to stock. People said to flash the fastboot rom and I did but it didn't restore the phone *completely*. First I thought that it did, since the custom recovery was gone along with the custom rom. But then I flashed twrp again and I noticed that my previous twrp settings and theme are still intact, meaning that they were not wiped by the fastboot rom.
What should I do to remove them completely? On Samsung phones i could just flash through odin and everything would be restored. How do I do it on xiaomi's? Thanks!
Did you choose clean flashed and lock option? or flashed with save user data? choose clean flash and lock (it will wipe everything in your device so do backup first).
Flash the latest miui stable version

yes i tried that, then i unlock the bootloader again just to make sure, flash twrp and yup my twrp settings are there still. if it were wiped it would have reset to default settings right?

It should have made clean flash. honestly i never cared about after clean flash if it retains setting or not because that doesn't even matter at all to me since i am using android or caused any problem /issue.
May i know what is your purpose of getting rid of TWRP settings? and what exactly setting you want to get rid of?
if still care about getting rid of full twrp setting i highly recommend you to visit xiaomi service center and ask them to install latest version because they thoroughly clean flash device like it was out of the box using some other method.
