Wifi Near profile doesn't switch off vibrate mode - Tasker Tips & Tricks

I have a WiFi Near profile which activates if the CELLA variable is equal 1 and my home wifi is near.
It turns on the wifi which is working fine and there is a command Silent mode OFF which is not working for some unknown reason. I have also tried to replace this command with the Ringer volume set to 5 command but this also doesn't work.
I can feel one vibration if this profile becomes active so I think this maybe working but after that it is immediately turns in to vibrate mode.
What could be the problem?

Idiotic Driving mode behavior

Does anyone know how to have Driving Mode (Settings>Language and Input>Text to Speech Output>Driving Mode) stay on permanently?
The current idiotic implementation of this very useful feature (which announces caller ID and message content) causes it to be disabled whenever the phone is set to silent mode, so that one has to switch it on manually every time one exits silent mode.
Is there any way to make it stay on permanently once enabled, regardless of phone audio mode?
I mean, the same feature on Nokia phones obeys silent mode global settings, and starts working again automatically when you exit silent mode.

Not exactly.
How Driving Mode works is that when you receive a call, it will read out the name of the caller (if it is in your phone book) or the number (if it is not). This is similar to the "Say Caller's name" feature in Symbian S60 and S^3 phones.
It is very handy in that (especially if you have a flip/folio case) it lets you know who is calling without having to open the case and look at the phone, especially when you are driving.
Ideally, if enabled, it should just mute audio when in silent mode, and become audible when silent mode is exited.
How it works now is that when you go to silent mode, the feature is disabled, and you have to re-enable it manually when you leave silent mode.
same problem
i have the exact same problem, the driving mode doesn't re-enabled automatically when i exit the silent mode, so i have to manually enabled it.
is a very handy feature but with the current behavior is useless.
anyone has a solution for this??

[Q] Sound profile problem - rings in silent and vibrate mode

Phone is stock. What happens is, regardless of the sound profile, if I get a phone call my phone will ring at max volume. Right as the call comes in the phone auto-switches to a normal profile and then switches back to whatever it should be after the call is completed. Text messages and notifications all work correctly with the sound profile settings.
I've tried changing the profile through a widget, the volume rocker, and through setting>sound. Nothing works. Anyone else having this problem or have any ideas?
bump
Interesting timing, I just observed this with my One today at work. The phone was in silent mode and started ringing, I took it out and ignored the call, when I looked at the profile it showed silent mode. I did not notice if it showed silent mode even as it was ringing.
I am using Llama for location based profiles but it showed the correct location and profile through that time period, so I don't think it was responsible.
So I figured it out, at least for my case. I had to wipe the cache partition. I didn't realize you could do this in a stock phone, but I guess you learn something new everyday.
I attached the .docx file that HTC support gave me explaining how to do it for anyone else that has this problem.

Is there a way to set phone volume to 0 in Ring mode using Tasker? (OnePlus 5)

I have a profile in Tasker that is supposed to set the phone to silent mode when I have a meeting scheduled. It works fine, has always done, until I got the OnePlus. The OnePlus has its built in system of Ring mode, DND mode and Silent mode which are triggered by the three step hardware switch on the side of the phone.
What happens is that when my "In a meeting"-profile triggers (and my phones hardware trigger is set to Ring), Tasker tries to set the volume to 0 but since the Ring mode prevents it the volume only goes down to 1 (out of 7 steps).
Someone tipped me of an app called "Sound Profile +volume schedule" which actually managed to change the volume to 0 in my phone when I applied the apps "silent" profile!
I however am not that clever at this (yet) that I can figure out what this app called on to make this happen.
But I'm counting on that some of you smart guys and girls here might know!
Thank you!
EDIT:
I have no ****ing idea how I suddenly got this to work but here it is. A silent profile in Tasker while slider is set to ring mode.
Volume is 0% and not 15% as it has been for a while for me. The ****er just suddenly gave in and works!

This is a few days old so maybe you've moved on. There are apps that will capture intents, maybe that is a way to find out what the Sound Profile +volume schedule app is doing. Then you could send the same intent through tasker. Else, instead of lowering the volume a workaround might be to switch the ringtone to silent. Then there is always AutoTools.
