[Help] Update Phone: On G900AUCU3BOC4 Android 5.0 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Hello Everyone,
I got the At&t version of the S5, but I do not use At&t and cannot update my software.
My phone is currently on G900AUCU3BOC4 which is Android 5.0 which the bootloader got updated and it's harder to load.
I want to know if anyone can give me the .tar file or whatever to flash with odin so I can update my phone to the latest software that At&t provides. It would be nice if you can provide me some instructions since I am a pretty noob at flashing and don't want to brick my phone.
I been exploring XDA forums before, but apparently there has been a massive update since I been here and a lot of things has changed and I cannot find what I need.
Thanks again.

Look for the guide by shortydoggg. 5.1.1 is linked there.

It showed you because its the latest F/W for your location. As far as rooting, simple search would do.Go to dev section and search.Or read this.
Basically, most ota updates will lose root. Safest way to keep root on update is use mobile Odin on device and download update package from samfirmware or Dr. Ketans guide.

Not sure if my question has been answered already. I apologize if it has, but am I missing something? I have got the OTA for my N900A yet. I'm sitll on baseband N900AUCUBMI9 and I don't know if there was a firmware update I'm missing prior to KitKat. I'm on Stock ROM and not rooted. Is there a manual way to get the latest update since my OTA is not working. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I think kies has mj5 now so I would update by downloading their official software kies... Then go to settings and check for update.
Or I secondly would go to a best buy and ask them to update you to nb4 and if all else failed I would go to the update threads in the general section there is one named kit kat upgrade no root...

[Q] Help: Samsung S III LTE baseband I9305XXBMA2

Hello guys,
I've been using XDA for a long time to figure out problems related to my devices. Recently I bought Samsung Galaxy S III LTE in Pakistan, having baseband I9305XXBMA2.
I searched a lot to find any link to give me a stock 4.3 update for my phone but I couldn't get one.
I shall be really greatful if you could let me know any way to update it, but seriously I don't want to root my phone. But if rooting is the only option to be left, please let me know.
Thanking you in advance.

Hi
Your current firmware allows you to root the phone easily, and you can then use Mobile Odin to upgrade to 4.3 without losing root. Stock 4.3 firmware has Knox bootloader which prevents you from rooting, modding etc. I would advise that you search XDA for 4.3 discussion to learn a bit more about Knox bootloader.
Since you are not interested in rooting, search for your region's 4.3 firmware here:
1) http://www.sammobile.com
2) http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9305
You need to understand that you cannot downgrade from 4.3 firmware without tripping Knox flag.
Good luck.

Flashing ATT S5 Build# G900AUCU2AOA1

Hi there guys, Im new to xda and im willing to flash my ATT Samsung s5 to get rid of all that crappy soft ATT included. I've been reading this guide: galaxys5root.com/galaxy-s5-root/how-to-install-custom-rom-using-safestrap-on-attverizon-galaxy-s5 and according to it im suppose to download the safestrap version that match the last 3 chars of my s5 build number... but there's no such a thing.
Im safe using the BETA v3.75 (ND3)? Or there's another walkaround?
Thx in advance,
Hi I'm interested as well. Any updates? I'm trying to root so I can use appradio3. Please help

Can you install the ROM G900M in G900A using Odin?

I'm trying to use the firmware I downloaded in sammobile.com
along with Odin 3.11.1 to put the G900M firmware in a G900A .
I tried it for nationalize this device that I bought in the US and does not come with the Portuguese/BR language.
It is possible?
I read something about using a backup with EFS. but I need to do root and a lot of things. Only with the Odin I could?
Thanks!
I think you will brick your device if you flash a FW that is not meant for your device.
Realy Sensei22? Maybe using a diferent version like g900F...
Or a alternativa ROM like cyanogen... Cold you recomend anyone?
don't flash anything that was not meant to be for your phone. CM will require root access, so if you are already on 5.0 or above there is just no way to do it.
Really, you will brick your device. The at&t models are bootloader locked. Flashing other ROMs will brick.

Thank you guys for the tips! I was frustrated, but ok!:crying:
If anyone knows of any good ROM for the 900A ...
Or since I have no way to remove the applications from AT & T ... if someone at least know of any tutorial to add the Portuguese language to the device ...
Thank you!

If it's still on KitKat, there's the possibility of root. Then you can run a custom ROM from the SD card.

Hi. To root G900A follow this link: (from android 4.4.2)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/g900and3tong3keeprootota-zip-t2862299
I'm using an unlocked ATT phone on T-mobile, so I don't get updates.
However, everybody assumes is easy to install new firmware after rooting, but I just can't find good step by step instructions on how to update my phone to lollipop. I neet to preseve the root after updating, and ideally get rid of all the ATT bloatware. Unbraded firmware will be ideal, but I can't find lucid comments regarding on how to do it, and if it possible in the ATT 900A.
Thanks.
