[PORT][T/TL,V] Xperia Z1 Camera | Initial Port | STATUS: Testing

Hey friends,
Here i'll share my port of the Xperia Z1 camera. See download section for a thread to discuss bugs, fixes, workarounds and so on.
I'll try to keep OP, as simple as possible.
Requirements:
LT25i/LT30p/LT30at
9.1.A.1.14x firmware
Unlocked/locked bootloader (doesn't matter)
Any Recovery

Current bugs:
Timeshift mode might not work
Saves the pictures, but FC's
First time enabling geotag (at popup) (?)
HDR Mode switch on Video Recording
ON by default, but unable to turn OFF (FC)
Front camera video recording
Returns "Unknown Error"

Face recognition (?)
OpenGL errors

Are you sure you don't have any of the bugs listed? What ROM are you using?
I'm taking screenshots from phone now. Until then, that picture from google would do fine

yes my lord ! no bugs
timeshift snapped 31 shots in 1 second. after snapping the pics and while being processing and there the error timeshift has stopped working but all the pics are saving background ... so its not a bug
burst mode also working but not even damn close to timeshift. taking each snap for abt 2 seconds of time.(but happy for the features is working)
social live is also worked perfectly!tested on my fb profile
all the AR effects are also worked
Superior & Manual modes are working awesome. picture quality and superior mode is improved alot!!!!!!!
im using EXR MN Ming v2.5.6 Rom:angel::angel:
sry abt the evernote thing. evernote appeared like an extra feature in the camera ...lolz
edit: in my cam HDR in Video recording is enabled by default but unable to turn it off. stopped working error. if it turned off it mmight be a prob but its ON. so will it be considered as a bug ?

"Unfortunately Camera has stopped" - I got this message every time I launch Camera app.
I'm using deodexed Stock with Niaboc's Home only...
I did wipe cache/dalvik after installing

Hope this will supports TX in the near future!

Is in the zip only a meta inf folder and a system file?

Download catlog from play store > Open camera (FC) > then open catlog, press save log and share.

really awesome that xda guy made it
@NuriJ: please test camera mode that shutter sound is not turning off. (two sounds are installed)
for me, picture effect WAS worked but earlier today it didnt worked. i did so many things to make be2 work on my rom maybe some conflicts ruined the PE. working in this mod ?

no.. another folder named "System" is missing in ur package...it contains 6 sub folders.

Yeah, same bugs seems to appear Both shutter sound switch, and picture effect works.
Also when i ported it, info-eye didn't work but i fixed it.

Most likely forum related.
If xda servers are under heavy load, the app just "lags" a bit.

But do I see it correct that I need a rooted phone to extract the Pro apk from my phone? (Unfortunately my employer does not allow me to root my phone.)
And will I have to patch it again for every update?

Well if you dont have root you can always use the free version.
Basically its the same app with just limited image editor for uploading attachments iirc.

I'm surprised you guys don't know this, just use any app backup tool to extract the apk from the phone. Works for either paid/free apps. Super backup is a small app that does that. I have ES file Explorer that does it too. Just go to backup Apps,
Just click on your apps name, the apk will be saved In sdcard/backups/apps

lockscreen transitions
Hey
Why can't I change lockscreen transitions ? It ONLY shows the 'sunshine' transition.. and its ugly and doesn't fit to most of the themes. Even if i go to 'customise' then there are 'lockscreen transition' and nothing. sunshine and 'none' how do i change that with the themes ?
I'm SO frustrated. :crying::crying:

Sorry, I can't help - the only lock screen transition I've ever seen is 'sunshine'.
Never understood why there was only ever that transition or none.

oh, okey. Good to know, thank you for the reply.
I guess it have something to do with the fact that most of the themes look like they are ported from miui. It's just weird that when I apply some other themes lockscreen, it even needs to be swiped in the right spot and to the right direction. So only thing there is missing is the transition animation, while swiping.

i developed this only for zenfone 2 .... it works perfectly in my device...

Problem solved, the cause was the stock browser that i was using for download, now trying to download using Chrome and it download correctly... It's strange

Cool, thanks. I found a bug though. The quick settings bar pull down on the lock screen has a ton of extra "black space" on it (see below). It looks pretty bad with notifications there.

Anyway to get the old xz2 launcher back? I can't install it as a apk because the package names are the same.

Once you root 'if you do' try replacing the APK in the system folder and change permissions, I'm gonna 2ait untill people have rooted theres like and see if the camera works or not other wise I'll wait for a solution

I know that if you root it you can replace it but I want a no root solution. The older Xperia launchers don't work because of the resolution and leave a blank black area (and also the app switcher does not work if you are using the pill)
Unlocking the bootloader does not render the came black this time but there is still no way to root it since there is no custom recovery.

No way with magisk via fastboot? I'm not sure how all that works anymore tbh though as I've not done it in a very long time :silly: probably just best to wait buddy, how come you want the old version btw?

New one is missing features a lot of them. No icon pack support, You can't set icon size. No search function etc.

Fair enough, I did use it a lot ages ago but then I started using Microsoft launcher with turbo settings and everything disabled :silly:

Can not change the icons in the new Launcher?
