Once you root 'if you do' try replacing the APK in the system folder and change permissions, I'm gonna 2ait untill people have rooted theres like and see if the camera works or not other wise I'll wait for a solution

I know that if you root it you can replace it but I want a no root solution. The older Xperia launchers don't work because of the resolution and leave a blank black area (and also the app switcher does not work if you are using the pill)
Unlocking the bootloader does not render the came black this time but there is still no way to root it since there is no custom recovery.

No way with magisk via fastboot? I'm not sure how all that works anymore tbh though as I've not done it in a very long time :silly: probably just best to wait buddy, how come you want the old version btw?

New one is missing features a lot of them. No icon pack support, You can't set icon size. No search function etc.

Fair enough, I did use it a lot ages ago but then I started using Microsoft launcher with turbo settings and everything disabled :silly:

So, just like most things, older devices get ports of features from their younger, but updated brothers. One of those things is the port of the Small Apps for 2011 HDPI devices and Xperia S, for now.
However, due our build.prop, we can't download any small apps that may be on the Play Store. My main request is that you XT users, upload for us, the small apps that are on the Play Store, and keep them updated and with the new ones, whenever possible.

I have an Xperia T but, unfortunatelly, these apps are not compatible with the devise.
Strange.... they are made by sony....
I tried to download the apk from chrome with the apk downloader extension....but it doesn't work. They can't be downloaded.
I can't understand.... those apps are been rewied also by users.
Who can solve this situation? Who is able to post the apk files to try to install them?
Hmm well, looks like that is the cause, why I didn't see them.
I have been told by Sony UK that there is an update coming soon which will allow us to install those apps.

Also, I have a curiosity: While the new small apps don't come, someone mind doing a backup and see how the recent apps and small apps behave on tablet mode? Set screen DPI to 192 and reboot. Screenshots, if possible. With 160 DPI, also.

Have you tried manually moving the files with root explorer?
Yes, move to app and set 644, maybe it's only for the new firmware.
It didn't worked with XS. Don't install normally neither works moving to system. I will ask the dev to update his ROM with the Small Apps to the newest T firmware.

Yes. It will. But pls note. This mod is based on 4.3 stock phonebook. U will lose Z2 phonebook and Dailer if u flash this on eXistenZ 6.6..

De Compile Semcphone.apk and go to res/values/bools.xml
Find Call Ended Screen line and disable it..
Save and Re compile, sign then use it

Many days ago I saw a boot animation about ctOS of Watch_Dogs (THIS) made by @nissanskylinebam and I liked it a lot but I thought to make one myself because I wanted the OnePlus One stock boot animation with ctOS style. So here we are.
Root is needed to change the boot animation.
The preview (bad quality and blablabla, I know. I worked with two gifs and I only have 4GB of RAM, my photoshop explodes with this kind of works :good:

I've been forced to put a couple of basic rules:
- You can share this, giving credits.
- You can modify this, put this into your rom or something like that, giving credits (only if you share your work, obviously...)

Very nice work! I had to reboot my device like 10 times for it to work, but thats just because im stupid I didn't understand the process of changing the permissions and on my way to learning how to do it I changed permissions of the Media folder first. So yeah, never do that and you people should be fine and have fun with this awesome Bootanimation.

I searched the PA boot animation but I don't really know what is the latest. On the other hand that boot animation uses RGB instead of Grayscale and with only 4GB of RAM my computer probably can't work with a lot of that kind of images/gifs because currently is too slow to work in Grayscale (my cpu is an AMD FX8350 x8 4GHz and my gpu is a Gigabyte GeForce GTX760 so that's the reason why I think that my problem is with my limited RAM).
Sorry if I made mistakes explaining this in english xD

The new Pixel Dialer now works without ROOT too..
Just Install the APK in ATTACHMENT and you are ready to go.
After installing APK, you must go into "settings > apps > gear icon (top right) > Default Apps > Phone App" and set the Google Dialer as the default instead of previous Phone(Dialer).
Update:- Google Phone V 13 No-Root apk is now available.. See attachments for downloads..
Just ignore the poll.. it was previously made.. Not needed anymore..

Only phone because contacts won't hide their names.
Another thing I found is that the in-call screen shows your phone's background faintly.

I tried k ROM from honor 6x on my phone and everything works fine on my device...all the custom settings and else... I don't think there is a difference in those phones...for the firmware at Least...maybe the devs can work together and bring us a new custom ROM or something!

AFAIK honor 8 lite is just another name for p8 lite 2017 so it's possible that kernel sources are the same
Now I will test it, however, does not think that it works.

The about phone hasn't changed at all but i think it's because i restored the system only...not vendor and boot...but other functions work well...like the k rom advanced settings and other stuff

Have you observed bugs on the ROM? Bluetooth, Wifi, etc all work? By the way, did you dirty flash the ROM on top of your existing one? And did it wipe anything off of your phone? I'd love to try this on my PRA-LX2

Some things seem to work. He's got the clock centered on the status bar.
Now with me it also goes. But, either the Kangvip Settings, or the Dev. Options do not go. Now I develop a B164 custom Rome.

Wifi and other stuff work normally... No bugs till now... Except for some apps... But reinstalling them fixed it...
The method that I used was restoring the system partition only... I didn't restore vendor and other stuff
