Well, hello everyone. I'm spanish, please have mercy :good:
This is probably my first topic in XDA so I'll try to do it right (and write it well) . Many days ago I saw a boot animation about ctOS of Watch_Dogs (THIS) made by @nissanskylinebam and I liked it a lot but I thought to make one myself because I wanted the OnePlus One stock boot animation with ctOS style. So here we are.
Root is needed to change the boot animation.
The preview (bad quality and blablabla, I know. I worked with two gifs and I only have 4GB of RAM, my photoshop explodes with this kind of works :good:

To use it just backup your current boot animation (for avoid any problems), rename mine to bootanimation.zip, put it in /system/media and change the permissions to rw-r--r--.

Flash the second zip with custom recovery.

Install the apk and choose it from Settings > Themes > Boot Animations.
I've been forced to put a couple of basic rules:
- You can share this, giving credits.
- You can modify this, put this into your rom or something like that, giving credits (only if you share your work, obviously...)
- You can use it for free. You see that, right? Well, only if you like it, and if you want, please press the thanks button.

Very nice work! I had to reboot my device like 10 times for it to work, but thats just because im stupid I didn't understand the process of changing the permissions and on my way to learning how to do it I changed permissions of the Media folder first. So yeah, never do that and you people should be fine and have fun with this awesome Bootanimation.

I searched the PA boot animation but I don't really know what is the latest. On the other hand that boot animation uses RGB instead of Grayscale and with only 4GB of RAM my computer probably can't work with a lot of that kind of images/gifs because currently is too slow to work in Grayscale (my cpu is an AMD FX8350 x8 4GHz and my gpu is a Gigabyte GeForce GTX760 so that's the reason why I think that my problem is with my limited RAM).

Hey Everyone!
This was requested in another thread so me and my friend Illinois08 decided to help the cause because we love XDA and this is to support them!
We pulled the images for the animation from here: Youtube
All the credit for the actual animation goes to XDA TV! If I knew an actual person I would put them!
All Illinois08 and myself did was pulled the images and added our own touches and put it all in a flashable zip for everyone with sound!

BTW... It doesnt look like this on the phone. The gif is just actual size of images. On phone it does normal 480x800!

No... I do not think any gingerbread roms support system/media for bootanimation.zip yet. We have to wait until a kernel is made with support. Stock samsung software is weird and doesn't even go off bootanimation.zip.
Unless he changed it which he may have already modded but not that I have seen.
If you try you make experience force closes after push...

Yeah... I was thinking Im gonna theme i3 before I flash it again so I could probably just drop the xda boot ani in there and then flash the rom with all goodies included
I got my hands on the Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 game & just went crazy about it.....

This boot animation has a comparatively longer period. So if you are in cm7 or miui, you can experience only a portion of it. Best viewed in Sense Roms.
Now added the background music, so it's much better now.......If you are using any Virtuous Roms (including the latest), use the sense 3.0 version.
Download the Version based on your Rom

CynogenMod based Rom - Portrait , Landscape
The MIUI version is here. Use this link. This is a .mtz file so just run it, it will do the rest.
Make sure you have you have sufficient space in /system folder, before you start with the procedure.
Procedure to install via CWM Recovery
1. Download the Flashable zip file from the above list.
2. Do a Nandroid Backup.
3. Reboot into Recovery & Flash the zip.
4. Now reboot & enjoy........

It should work on every phone that is rooted, if your uneasy bout flashing it. Use root explorer, find your original boot animation, rename it with " .bak " at the end (that'll back it up ). Then extract the new one an put it in the same place as the original. Reboot
after that, an see what happens. If it worked, then there you go. If not go back to bootanimation, delete the one you put there. Find the original one with ".bak", remove that part(by renameing it). That'll restore your original.

See is a rom, complete with theme ... because in the past I flash the theme aeriglass, for the preceding Zeus and I had almost everything in English, while the set language was Italian, I think the app of aeriglass not understand the Italian language!

Is very easy... use Winmerge to compare this stuff with my ROM... create a zip with ONLY the modified/new files... remove from updater-script the boot.img flashing, the symlinks, the /system format, etc, mantaining the permissions...
Then, if I launch another version... you only have to check if your files have been modified... if remain unchanged your theme can be flashed over new version... if some file has been changed... you only have to modify that file and repack...

Thanks,if u are going to upload a theme,then i suggest u use trasmusics rom,its izs of course with optimus G theming,it has brightness slider usb dock icons and slider on,off like G,but its your choice of course,again amazing job.

No, I downloaded this one... All bootanimations in 7" CM10.1 does have an off screen in the first 10seconds.

Stop lying, you don't need NEXT to do this. This can be done with any kernel just by setting the ro.sf.hwrotation to 0. Talk to me when you have a fix for PORTRAIT.

sure, bootanimation is fixed but then you need a special init.d script or touch orientation is wrong. but try it if you want

EDIT: Inserter 20 black images in part0 folder and renamed then in order... But it doesn't worked, it's like part0 was ignored
Maybe you need to edit the desc.txt
but it was only a joke because someone called me a lyer it makes no sense to make the bootanimation visible after 4 or 5 seconds.
i general don´t know why somebody has such a big problem with that bug ?!? if you are in bootloop for 1 hour i would understand .
(i edit my post before, added link for init.d information and hwrotation with other kernel)

Once you root 'if you do' try replacing the APK in the system folder and change permissions, I'm gonna 2ait untill people have rooted theres like and see if the camera works or not other wise I'll wait for a solution

I know that if you root it you can replace it but I want a no root solution. The older Xperia launchers don't work because of the resolution and leave a blank black area (and also the app switcher does not work if you are using the pill)
Unlocking the bootloader does not render the came black this time but there is still no way to root it since there is no custom recovery.

No way with magisk via fastboot? I'm not sure how all that works anymore tbh though as I've not done it in a very long time :silly: probably just best to wait buddy, how come you want the old version btw?

New one is missing features a lot of them. No icon pack support, You can't set icon size. No search function etc.

Fair enough, I did use it a lot ages ago but then I started using Microsoft launcher with turbo settings and everything disabled :silly:
Can not change the icons in the new Launcher?

and copy xperia home apk to /system/app or /oem/app

Old launcher isn't designed for 21:9 ratio.
So it'll look horrible
