Did you perform a „factory reset” wipe? Changing ROMs kind of requires you to - a factory reset wipes the old sd-ext, and you still have it.
And are you sure you downloaded the right ROM? I can't access the RR site now, but they don't have ROMs for Thea.
What phone do you have, actually?

I have xt1045 4g
I've done all the procedures to install the rom .
but gave those mistakes.
try putting on a rom 5.1 stock xt1045 according to what I found here on xda but I do not install it .
the phone did not stay at the logo and not as most do.

Then you need to flash this ROM: CM Peregrine
Or this one: RR Peregrine
See the ROM's discussion thread here.

[Q] Slim Bean 2.8 Install Troubles...

I've got an i9000, and I've followed the instructions on the site..
Enter CWN
Wipe data
Format /system
Then mounted /system.
Then install the zip and get this error:
"E:Error in /sdcard/Slim-I9000-2.8.0-OFFICIAL.zip"
"(Status 7)"
"Installation aborted."
"Can't mount /emmc/"
I took out my removable sdcard before doing the install so that accounts for the last message.
I had this problem with 2.7 as well.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Someone wrote something about installing 2.6 first after doing the data wipe and system format since it reconfigures the directory structure. Not sure if this is true. Any help?
i've got the same problem. i mounted system,SD data but i received the error status 7 and an error on file install.sh. now i search possibile solutions

I did have luck installing the SlimBean 2.6.0 zip file first, then the gapps.zip. Then upgraded to 2.7.0 doing a cache and dalvik cache wipe. No problems... but still can't seem to get 2.8.0 to work. Though 2.7.0 works quite nicely it seems.
I think there's an update app that is supposed to let you do it from the phone itself, but I'm not sure if that's working properly yet.
yes, i have no problems on old version. Now i'm writing through my galaxy s with cyanogenmod 10 and i want to try again slim ROM.
Had the same problem, it was working with 2.7 just fine, tried to update to 2.8 and it didn't work, read there that updating semaphore kernel would work.
Installed semaphore kernel 2.4.4s (via heimdall) and got bootloop.
Tried to flash stock (xxjvu) via heimdall; everything went smoot but
100%
PARAM upload successful
Ending session...
Rebooting device...
Re-attaching kernel driver...
phone never booted, now I can't get to download or recovery mode, phone just stays off, no lights, nothing, I think is bricked.
Just ordered a usb jig via amazon LOL
If you came from another rom then slim 2.6 or 2.7 you have to flash 3 times

i flashed again the slim bean 2.8.0 for my i9000. I come back from cm10 thus i did wipe data/factory and format system. I mounted the system partition but i have got the same story. Error status 7......problem with install.sh and all aborted.
Is this a problem with the partition layout of cm10 after the cm nightly available from 26 september?
How can i install the slim bean 2.8.0 on my galaxy s?
edit: i can't install slim 2.8.0

How to install Slim 2.8
Yes! that error is a normal step of the installation!
When you install the zip of 2.8, you get the error. Then install it again and you will reboot. Power off your phone and restart CWM, then install again the zip! after this, you can install the extras!
If you are coming from any rom apart from slim bean 2.6 and 2.7 you will need to flash it 3 times although I think the advice is to flash 2.6 and then flash 2.8 rather than flashing 2.8 directly. I am currently on 2.5 and I'll updated to 2.8 on saturday but will do it step by step 2.6 > 2.8.

What's not clear to me is when they say flash 3 times, do they mean just try installing the 2.8.0 zip 3 times? Or do a wipe cache/dalvik cache between each try? Or reboot between tries?
I've got 2.7.0 running fine but it gives me an error on the 2.8.0 flash even if I try 5 times, and that's trying both with and without cache wipes between attempts.
I went from CM10 to slim bean 2.8. All I did was factory reset, wipe + cache and dalvik cache (I didn't mount system or anything like that).
ROM installed normally, no errors and no reboots. Been using it fine for the last few hours now.

I solved the issue in this way. we assume that it is correct to try mountind the system partition but if the error continues then it isn't the solution!
The slim bean team, cunningly, modified the file "Slim-I9000-2.8.0-OFFICIAL.zip"! they changed at 2012-10-25 00:07:28 thus, all those who download the file yesterday, they have the error status 7 etc...
You redownload the slim rom and then to follow the standard procedure:
- enter in recovery
- wipe data/factory
- format system (in mount and storage menu)
- install zip from sd (or external) card
- install slim gapps
- install optional gapps
- enjoy

You are correct. Just re-downloaded the 2.8.0 zip, SREC update and Gapps update files and everything installed nicely over 2.7.0 with just a cache/dalvik cache wipe.
Nice!
very good. i like very much this ROM. fast and with many RAM.392 mb ! it already includes the semaphore kernel 2.4.4s.excellent.

EDIT [solved]. Slimkat - updating ROM

EDIT:
Thread can be closed. Problem solved. I thougt that my phone is "supported" and the version 7.8 is the latest (d2lte). However d2lte is similar phone, and Slimkat for i9305 is ported (but very well ported). I wanted to install ROM for different phone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
I wanted to update my Slimkat ROM 7.2.1 to newer version because I was little confused by little bugs (ROM is very stable and great) and most of all "not translated everything" to my language.
I downloaded latest version for my i9305 (d2lte=i3905 at the slimkat website) and put into sd card, then run CWM Recovery, did wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition. Then I wanted to install Slimkat but after "Mounting" I got error (without any specific name) and I couldn't update. I tried several times, I formatted later also dalvik cache and /system, tried with 7.4 and 7.6 versions but still I'm getting the same problem. I did everything also with "installation FAQ" at slimkat website. I can only install 7.2.1 How can I install newer versions?
EDIT: I tried to change ROM to Stock (4.3 downloaded via sammobile), next install again CWM and Slimkat 7.8 but.... the same error.
I'm getting:
"-- Installing: /storage/sdcard1/Slim-d2lte-4.4.4.build.7.8-WEEKLY-6269.zip
Finding update package...
Opening udpdate package...

Format and Mount Systen. Mount Data...

And thanks all.

SM-G800F --TWRP 3.0.0 -----Linage 14.1 Unofficial-kimnilte 2017021 ------Nougat 7.1.1

Hi guys.
Just did a clean flash all was working fine but when i try to start for ex "black mart" it crashes display goes black.
Tried Wiping everything and re flash same problem remained.
Tried "Format Data" got the following message :
" E: Unable to wipe '/data' -- Unknown file system
'auto'
Unable to format to remove encryption . "
Also I get two red lines in the install log :
E: unknown command {log}
E: unknown command {log}
all help is appreciated
My advice is to install a custom ROM without wipes, if it still does not work, make all the wipes, except the SD, if it still does not work, install the stock rom, that should work 100%, you can give me the link Black mart, I need to check something
Hey Jimmy
I Installed it without wipes didnt work...did a clean flash still no luck....figured if i can remove the whole partition and re create it all leftovers will be deleted ..
So i asked how to go about this...got an old stock rom flashed it with the pit file...now all apps were working again ...tried formatting the partition still same problem... wiped it once more...installed LOS 14.1....problem remained...tried a few diff releases of 14.1
Figured maybe if i downgrade TWRP back to 2.8.7 (from 3.0.0) maybe i can format it....so I did and voila now i could fomat the disk ....but this time I installed cm-13.0-20160113-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte....all is now working
The first installation of 14.1 was actually working...but I downgraded to 5.1..1 because i wasn't able to restore my backups ....the second time around I noticed that the file manager was now displaying " shared Internal Storage" (which it didnt the first time) dunno if that had something to do with it...
Here is the lnk i dL black mart

Install LineageOs 15.1 fails "Encryption unsuccessful" SM-T713

I have installed TWRP 3.2.1-0 on a stock T713XXU2BRB2 ROM on my SM-T713 using Odin. Could not get Heimdall to work.
I am familiar with LineageOS which I have on a Nexus 7 and HTC One M8 Dual Sim.
When I try to wipe the system I get "Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer........." and "Unable to mount storage....."
Not looking good!
Despite this, I tried installing lineage-15.1-20180423-nightly-gts28vewifi-signed and open_gapps-arm64-8.1-pico-20180409 using TWRP.
I had the same errors "Could not mount /data......." and so on.
Not looking at all good!
When LineageOS boots, I get this error "Encryption unsuccessful" "Encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your tablet is no longer accessible"
Presumably this means I need to reformat some of the partitions. to get rid of old encryption.
How best can I do that?
I think I have found the answer here
I did not follow all the instructions, I just did this:
Boot to TWRP recovery
Format Data partition using FORMAT DATA button under Wipe options.
(Note: This will wipe the internal storage)
DO NOT REBOOT
I then pushed the LineageOS image and opengaps image to the /sdcard/ and installed them.
LineageOS came up, I am now waiting for the Checking for Updates.....

Did you figure it out?
Did you root it t713 with latest nougat update? NRD90M.T713XXU2BRB2?
I did not need to root it, I used Odin to install the T713XXU2BRB2 Stock ROM because I had soft bricked it. Then I installed LineageOS as above using adb and TWRP.
All working fine now.
Cheers

How did you install TWRP? did you install it having the latest T713XXU2BRB2 on it?
Yes, I was lazy and installed it from Odin (I am a linux man, had to fire up my old Windoze XP on a netbook) having got the T713XXU2BRB2 installed, then used adb to push LineageOS and openGapps pico to the tablet, then into recovery and installed from there. Went like clockwork in the end.

Error 7 on TWRP when flashing SM-t817t with Lineage 14.1

I have a rooted SM-t817t and have been attempting to flash Lineage 14.1 to it through TWRP 3.1.0-1_ashyx.
I have tried to flash with the gts210ltexx and the gts210wifi and the results are the same, receive the Error 7 message.
After reading up on other threads I attempted to alter the script to either tell it that the ROM is for the gts210ltexx or just remove it entirely and still getting the error.
Also attempted to run it without authentication.
I have read that the t817x tablets can be flashed with the t810 ROMs but have had zero success with doing so at this time.
I am unsure how to proceed from this point.

Format (not wipe) DATA and if that doesn't work FORMAT the system partition.
If neither works then maybe you should use an updated twrp.

Thank you for the advice, I will update to the latest TWRP and then format the data and try that. Will report back with results.
After formatting the data and updating to the latest TWRP, 3.2.3-1, I come across the same error 7.
Have updated the script filed to make certain no trace of verification exists for the ROM and still receive the error.
Have now attempted at least five different ROMS all with the same results.
The following is a summarized look at the details it gives.
Installing zip file 'lineage.zip'
Checking for Digest file...
Skipping Digest check: no Digest file found
Warning: No file_contexts
detected filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/platform/15540000.dwmmc0/by-name/SYSTEM
Patching system image unconditionally...
E1001: Failed to update system image.
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/lineage.zip'
Updating partition details...
Failed to mount '/hidden' (Invalid argument)
...done
Update: I have now wiped data but have not yet formatted it. I believe I will need to install Magisk for that.
However based on other recommendations I have come to find out about the encryption on the Samsung storage and that it might be causing the issue.
I have tried to circumvent this by formatting the data into ext2 then back to ext4 and restarting recovery, but so far this has not worked. The error 7 message persists regardless.
Will come back with further updates.

You didnt read my previous post correctly.
You don't need Magisk to FORMAT DATA.
The FORMAT DATA button is right there under the wipe options.
However what you did would have formatted DATA anyway.
Now do the same for the system partition after formatting DATA.
Do not reboot just check DATA and SYSTEM can be mounted then try and install the zip again.

Formatted the data and the system. Verified they were both mounted. Then attempted to flash the ROM.
Error 7 message still appearing. As does the unable to mount hidden.

Have tried multiple ROMs, all intended for either the t810 or the t815. They include Lineage, Resurrection Remix, Paranoid Android, AOSP, and a couple more besides.

It may be that the system partition sizes are different?
Unknown. I have tried reflashing the stock firmware and that still failed in Odin.
I have given up at this point and restored from a backup. Thanks for the help however.
