Stuck on Setup after TOT Restore for the Sprint LG G4
I ran into a problem after I followed the steps to restore my LG G4. Now I cant get through the setup process without it returning me to "Set Internet Connection screen". I have a video of this happening but I'm unable to post the link because I'm a new user.
It still returned me to the same screen after I connected to my home wifi and entered my google account info that I last used on there. I also have a video of this.

Ive tried restoring again and got the same result. Also, when I first ran the flash tool I got a "DBMS" window with four options. After doing some research I found out that this shouldn't be happening. So I made sure that the new MegaLock.ddll was being replaced but i still got the same window.

By pass DLL
I had the same problem and can fix it, you have to download this file and put it in the DLL option in LG Flash Tool, with TOT Sprint.

I'm not encountering that error but I keep getting "DoDownload Error!!!". When given the choice for DBMS, I tried both Korea one, and the Global one. I've read that I shouldn't be getting that prompt in the first place.

You need to download a hex editor and change the header of the tot file from the LS991 to the US991 version. When flashing use the board DL mode, not upgrade mode. Hope this helps.
Search for 991 and look for VLGLS991 and LS991ZV5_05, change it to your US991 file name. In the picture i modified it for the verizon rom I flashed. Yours will be different since you flashed the US991 version. Good Luck

Thanks, I tried this. It flashed but when the phone automatically rebooted, I got the download error on the flash tool. Is that normal? The phone booted properly but I haven't played around it yet. Will let you guys know after I played around with it.
If it flash pass 80% and phone reboot then you are good. Glad it work for you

Thanks, btw for those that tried this method. Is /carriers/app still in your phone? I can only find an empty /carrier directory.
EDIT: NVM, I tried inserting my non US GSM SIM and it's already being recognized. Will try if I'll have data.
EDIT2: Data is now working. I'm outside US.
Select Board DL

For this problem you have to select the Board DL in LG Flash Tool
flash tot problem ls991
AFTER USE THIS METHOD MI LG has remained on a blue screen says factory reset status and puts a large 2
I CAN DO THIS WELL BEFORE THIS
Try board DL mode, instead of Upgrade Mode. Good luck

I had this problem with my LG G Stylo 2. As soon as you see "configuring you phone", press up and down volume button simultaneously and you'll get to a screen that your phone is not configured. tap skip and follow the rest of the process.
I am having a lot of trouble with my LG G4.
It started bootlooping about a week ago, and ever since I have been trying to get the data off of it. For some reason, when I put the phone into download mode, fastboot does recognize it (fastboot devices has no output) so I cannot recover that way. I have flashed the original T-Mobile H81110N KDZ and it still did not work. I am aware that there is a solution for international G4 variants that disables the big cores, but not one for US variants. I have been trying to modify the KDZ that I have to disable the big cores, but I have no clear idea of how to do this, and there is no overall guide in modifying TOT/BIN and KDZ, only how to unpack them (which I have done). If anyone has a T-Mobile KDZ that has big cores disabled (or is willing to make one) that would be greatly appreciated.
The only thing that even remotely works is freezing the phone, which, on occasion, gets the phone to boot completely up (only for it to crash and bootloop shortly thereafter, not enough time for me to get data off of the phone).
At the moment I have another G4 on its way (warranty). Is there any way I could disable big cores on that phone and make a KDZ to flash on this phone?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,
Im new at Rooting, but I'm good at following instruction from videos, forums, and whatever I get my hands on. I have an LG G4, that I recently rooted. There are some issue with Root, and some applications I cant run (like snapchat- I had tried with Rootswitcher and Magisk but failed).
I followed instructions from several videos and forums here at Xda-Devs. But nothing seems to work. I have download multiple firmwares but everytime i get an error. the lgflashtool14 goes up to 9 % and there is some logs in my phone, but everything stops.
Also I want to mentioned that this are the steps that i rooted
Please any help will be appreciated, I want to go back to stock. :fingers-crossed:
Edit : I have tried all variants of the firmware, some they not even get stuck they say " contact administrator "

then i think its not a h811. open up phone and take motherborad out see what it says on the actual motherboard in your hand, what ever it says flash that, maybe is not a h811

go by what the motherboard says.. if you got it from tmobile return it.
yes seems yours its a att 810
motherboard is what determines your variant other things can be edited but not that number and printing on mitherboard
yes weird they might be refurbishing phone using other motherboards

I have it, but I attempt to flash it with lgflashtools and still stuck at 9%. Also tried LGup, and still im unable to do anything with that program
Hey all- after noticing my Netflix wouldn't work despite being a WW plastered phone, I discovered that my phone was actually a flashed CN version. I noticed that I can't receive updates- security or otherwise, which was a big motivating factor for me to try and fix it.
Eventually, I posted on Reddit because I was fed up
My build is (was) - WW_16.0650.1908.12_0
One dude sent me to this video- and since I have dealt with rooting before on my Nexus 4 I decided to try it out.
"
ASUS ROG 2 FULLY CONVERTED GLOBAL ROM WITH WORKING THEMES AND UPDATES"
I can't post links because my account is currently too new.
I followed the guide exactly, but when I got to the part where it said to use ADB, my attempt to boot the rootww190812.img failed- someone said to try on B instead, that also failed. It said it "failed to load/authenticate boot image.
From now it has been bootlooping into the Qualcomm
"qualcomm crash dump mode"
"waiting for flashing ramdump"
And I can not boot the device. I can still reach Fastboot, but that is all.
How can I fix my phone- preferably including continuing the boot process but at this point i'd be happy just to have a working phone again.
Edit: I have found factory reset- but i'm not sure if I should do it, or if I risk simply undoing and having to re-do the initial global reflash.
Edit 2: factory reset says WW_I001D and says it will go back to 1908.12. it should be safe I assume-
Edit 3: changing back to A allowed it to boot without factory reset- but it still won't root, build is now WW_16.0640.1908.12_0
https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/how-to/guide-to-check-change-fingerprint-cn-to-t4002279
This guide ended up helping me- I got it fixed, delete this post if you want.
