PTT remap question on AT&T tilt

I use the PTT remap and it works like a champ great little proggy.
Short press - toady screen long press HTC Action screen.
Though nice I'd like to have either "Backlight" or even "Full brightness backlight" on button 6. any chance to do this? I'm not afraid hacking the reg.
Yes, go into the Windows folder and find the app called Backlight.exe. make a shortcut to it and move that shortcut into the Windows > Start Menu > Programs folder. Then go to the buttons option and change the PTT button to fire up the Backlight shortcut. I don't use the regular Buttons option to do this with mine, I use AE Button Plus, but it should work the same way.
I almost went that far already BUT is there an option to set the default and/or adjust backlight setting to full brightness?
Here's a great utility I found yesterday after searching for "backlight" on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413137&highlight=backlight
The shortcut I use is \Program files\bl\bl02.exe 0 4 9 Press PTT once it is off, press again and it is about medium, press again and it's on full. You can change it to \Program files\bl\bl02.exe 1 9 and it would go from dim or bright each time you press it. I'm not sure how many arguments you can pass, but people have been able to use 5 with no troubles.

Rapid Screen Rotation

Hi all,
How do you manage to have a rapid screen rotation?
I'm using Tomtom and everytime I need to do it manually....
Is it possible to add a little tab or something like that?
Thank you
Frank

This is on the first page of the forum if you look!
From the 2nd sticky post (Diamond Tweaks), you can find how to change your registry to enable screen rotation:
HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation - HideOrientationUI (Change from 1 to 0)
Then, map your button to the rotation tweak:
Settings -> Buttons -> Map with <Rotate Screen>
When you would like to rotate your screen, just hold your Phone button.
I prefer a automatic rotation. Gsen is for me the solution.

Click to collapse
Apart from the fact that I cant change any button maps, how would you use the phone if you remapped the phone button?

AE Button Remapping Software

I just purchased AEButton remapping software. I think this is the best software available today that allows you to remap any hardware button to more than one function. I managed to program the side "OK" button to Vibrate/Ring. As it stands, using Manila disables the side OK button original functions rendering it useless.
I highly recommend this program to those that are frustrated with not knowing what to do with the OK button.
I've been using AE button for quite some time..
it's quite useful.
U can also save the config and restore it whenever U flash a ROM.
the file shud be *.cfg in the AE folder (can't remember exactly)
Only just installed as have always wondered to what point i would use it? My phone is now so much more user friendly.
Button 1:
Press: Opera Mini
Double Press: Opera Mobile.
Button 2:
Press: Messaging
Double: MobilePad
Long: Calendar Touch
Button 3:
Press: Start Menu

Long: Backlight
Button 4:
Press: OK\Close
Double: BT on\off
Long: Wi-Fi on\off
Button 6:

Double: NoData
Hold: McGuider GPS
could i use this to remap keys on my keyboard. i need to switch my p,n,k,m keys for my arrow keys because my p,n,k,m keys are unresponsive

Map End button long-press to Comm Manager

In Settings -> Personal -> Buttons -> End Key
It only allows to use the button for either display 'Quick List' or automatically executes some actions.
I find it useless.
How about mapping hat end key (hold press) to Comm Manager ? Is that possible? Seems like a registry tweak or something but I couldn't find.
