Just bought a P9 2 days ago, decided to root for Pokemon Go, realized that rooting eats lots of battery, wanted to revert, ends up wiping the whole system with TWRP.
I've been trying to research how to restore/install a stock rom, I've been trying to solve this on my own (and with Google ofcourse) for the past 10 hours now, and voila, ended up with a boot loop.
So guys, I was just hoping someone could help me, teach me how to bring it back to the way I bought it. Please and thank you in advance.
I have this same situation with my p9 lite and nothing, autorised Huawei service give me new phone...

[UPDATE] Fixed
Hey guys, searched in google for 10 hours, ended up wiping my P9, searched less than 30 minutes in XDA forums, reverted back into stock ROM.
Fix:
Step 1: Extract the stock ROM file from PaulOBrien's post into your MicroSD card, you will end up with a "dload" folder inside your MicroSD.
Step 2: Turn your P9 off
Step 3: Force flash (learned the term from the same topic post) by pressing all 3 buttons(volume up, down, and power) for 5-8 seconds, a Huawei icon will pop up and voila, EMUI updates.
And the best part is, it gets back to its original "locked" state.
Thanks XDA Developers Forums!
Thanks
thx

Hi everyone,
I tried to install Marsmallow according to the XDA tutorial and my Mate S is now stucked on Huawei Logo when it boots.
I tried to put another Firmware on my SD in order to downgrade the phone but it did not work. I tried to wipe the data etc with the reset functionality it didn't work neither. Finally I tried to install TWRP or another recovery file that I've extract but I still get the error message "FAILED -(remote: command not allowed)". I guess I should have root my phone before but now it's bricked I can do it
So I'm kind of stucked on this (and a lot disapointed), if anyone has an idea it would be great.
PS : I can't even turn my Mate off now, it always displays Huawei logo and boot until it has no more battery !
Thanks for reading me.
i can tell you a long story from Huawei Mate S but i make it fast.
I flash realy all what i can found for a long Time but Mate S is a big Problem, biggest Problem is when you have a brandet Phone. First i have a Mate S with Provider Branding, that is realy bricked with update to Marshmallow but huawei have change my phone (6 Mounth they do that) and they have give me a brandet free phone and with that i dont have problems with update or brick.
When you now have a Brandet phone, talk with huawei that they change it (24 hours)
When you have a brandet free phone you have a chance that you can debrick it.
Please tell what you have make and what you have for a phone and what for FW you have installed. More input please
Only way what you can do is you download from huawei rollback . Its only for China but it works. When it start then and you update your phone again it will brick for ever !!

Download: @Mega
Installation:
1. Download the B390 Firmware
2. Unzip the archive (so you have only "UPDATE.APP" ).
3. Create a folder named dload in the device’s internal storage or on your SD card and put the "UPDATE.app" file there
4. Start the update from dialer *#*#2846579#*#* and ProjectMenu -> Software Upgrade -> SDCard Upgrade
5. Once completed, the phone will reboot ( it could take a while to reboot )
6. Check the new firmware version
Put in dload folder and three volume + volume buttons - and home

yes. Is done in the same way as the B380
I've installed the update and I've noticed some problems with Google apps (crashes on start, or when clicking certain buttons, for example the Play Store "more info" button).
Then I've done a factory reset, and apparently after that there was no way to add a Google account. The activity for adding a new Google account suddenly closes a second after starting.
In mine is working fine but I can not change the melodies of call and SMS

I had the same problem with the previous update (B370). I've downgraded to the latest version available on the Huawei website and now everything works correctly.
I had it too, but in my case phone has C900 version (from official Huawei page!). I had to use warranty. They switched it to C432.

Hi, what do you mean by you had to use warranty? I also have a Mate S on c900 and want to change it to c432. I thought I just could install the c432 fullota file and fix it this way, but maybe is not the way to do it?
I ment I gave my phine to the service point and they load proper software. There is no way to change it without root.

I think I have updated my phone by installing a c432 software. Right now my phone displays CRR-L09C900B370 which I don't think exist. I think I have patched my phone with the c432B370 software. It's working fine.
I tried many times, but it was still C900.

It seems Huawey finally rollout the update, i've got a notification this morning, at least in France we've got the update
Hi,
I've downloaded the latest one and I've serious problem with my phone. When I try to run mail apps they suddenly close. I tried different mail apps but none of them works. Gmail, stock e-mail app, outlook, etc.
does any one have an idea to fix it? Do you I have any chance to go back to B370?
Try force update vol up, vol down and power with b370 in dload.
in the last few weeks, my Huawei p9 had many problems cuz of the last update!
my battery drain was increased, also the mobile shutting down when I used the camera even if battery more than 30%.
i thought all of those problems cuz of update not the battery, when I searched many times I found many guys written the same problems!
i contacted Huawei customer services, they told me that Huawei removed all software from their sites cuz of wrong use from some customers
here are how to Rollback your device without any problems.
1) First, download Android Nougat Rollback Package for Huawei P9 from here
middle east http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91646&version=357962&siteCode=kwen
europe http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91727&version=358124&siteCode=nl
2) Now create a folder dload in the root of your SD card and place the update.app file in that folder.
3)Now turn off your device.
4) Now press “Volume Up + Volume Down and Power Button” together. The update process will start automatically.
5) Now wait for some time to complete the process. Your firmware version should now be on “B300”.
6) Now download the full Marshmallow firmware from here
middle east http://huawei-firmware.com/rom/huawei-p9/eva-l19/324
or you can choose your eligible software from here
http://huawei-firmware.com/phone-list/huawei-p9
7) Now move the update.app file in SD card folder (Replace the rollback update.app file).
8) Now again press “Volume Up + Volume Down and Power Button” together to Downgrade Huawei P9 from Android Nougat to Android Marshmallow
9) Done.
This is the complete guide to Downgrade Huawei P9 from Android Nougat to Marshmallow. If you have any questions comment below.
This will be helpful. I have some question.
1. In number 2 do you mean to unzip the files and put the dload folder to sd card and leave update.app untouched?
2. And can you elaborate number 7 please? Is it the same update.app in number 2 and do I need to replace it to the downgrade firmware?
3. And is it okay to downgrade when my phone is currently network locked? Will it affect my phone or should i have it unlocked first? Btw my bootloader is still locked and I have no root.
I love you man! I nearly gave up! Thank you SO MUCH!
PS- Can we update the phone after rolling back? Or Will the OTA updates brick my phone?
It works indeed
Many thanks. It works perfect. Il had to use Hisuite to move the file in dload.
Now I get a notification asking me to update to emui 5. Ik don't want to do so of course but I can't stop the notification. Has somebody an idea ?
Don't understand guy.. am on oreo and never had any problems ..
Hello,
If I do the downgrade, will I lose my pics on my phone ?
Thanks for you feedback.
Reset Netwrok Settings
I was having the same issue ( sudden power-off when using camera or apps that use location), as well as the battery draining very fast.
I followed the steps suggested by Huawei to reset the network and (so far) it apperas to have resolved the issue. TBH its only been two days, but so far its looking good and did not require me to rollback or perform any other intervention. I'm too new to the forum to post a hotlink so you'll have to cut and paste it.

I hope it helps!
Oh god, thank you so much! u did the depression leaves me. I love you man <3
Hello guys,
Recently my Huawei P9 EVA-L09 kind of stopped working the screen, it blinks and goes black, both at boot and while it is on, and sometimes it worked for a few seconds, but now it doesn't work anymore.
I saw in some forums that it may be the phone's cache that is full, but I can't clean it because the screen looks like this. And even if she wasn't, a few months ago I tried to root my phone, but the TWRP switch went wrong and he kind of is out of TWRP. But the Bootloader is unlocked.
So I found Method 2 in this DC-Unllocker tutorial:
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/DC-Phoen...epair-tutorial
And this tutorial in XDA forum about how to unbrick the EVA-L09 with DC-Phoenix:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/...oenix-t3560577
So before I buy the "DC-Phoenix + HCU timed license", I need to ask if I am on the right track and can it probably solve my problem, or am I on the wrong track?
I ask because I am not very familiar with this area!
There is also this thread on the XDA forum, but it needs an SD card (which I don't have):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...08&postcount=7
And this thread that uses the Test Piont, but i've never use something like that, so I'm not so sure:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/...d-fpr-t3997631
And if you knows any other tutorial that can help me better I'm fully open to accept help!
Good day / night everyone! Recently I got myself a P9 Plus VIE-L09 and it was stuck on Android 6 and I wanted to install the latest Android 7 that was available for it, but Huawei didn't have the Update in the System Updater, so I tried to force upgrade, and I might have done something wrong cuz now like when I turn it on it goes to Huawei Logo, then restarts, then Huawei Logo again and then it is in the eRecovery. I tried everything for hours but no avail tho, if any of you's can give me some advice it will be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've managed to fix it, the fix is on this Thread I've made: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...th-bootloader-locked-only-emui-4-1-1.4547869/
