Hello,
it would be verry appreciated, if someone could help me with answering the following question.
I've read on this forum, that the Xperia Z has a sharp LS050T1SX01 or an AX450AKN-7 lcd.
I have an original broken LS050T1SX01 lcd, which I want to replace. The cheapest soruce would be buying an xperia replacement lcd on ebay. But looking at the pictures of the lcd assembly, the cabling is very different from the original LS050T1SX01 cabling.
So the question is: does the xperia lcd has a different cable (and socket) then the original LS050T1SX01 ?
(based on the pictures yes, but it is also possible, that the original cable is connected to an extender, which can be seen in the pictures).
Thank you

Hey,
My Xperia Z cracked while laying on my bed. I've read all the topics about the design flow, is it worth to try and get the phone repaired under warranty in Australia? The glass isn't cracked, only the digitizer(lcd looks fine).
Otherwise, has anyone tried screen assembly with frame kit? There are some on ebay from china but the pictures don't really show the quality of the frame so I'm wondering if it's any good.
What about adhevise, what should I use to keep the parts together? Probably I can forget about waterproofness?
Thanks in advance

I believe the digitizer and lcd are fused together and cannot be replaced independently of each other.
This is very common with new phone as it helps keep the display assembly thinner and improves the IQ of the screen.
You have to buy an entire display assembly and replace the whole thing.
Here is one...

And there are instructions here

Called Sony Au today, they told me that they charge 40 aud for examination of the phone and u have to send the phone to Sydney. Told me that they have never repaired cracked screen in sony xperia z under the warranty and the cost is bit under 500..haha. I used to love sony but not anymore!

happened to me but I dropped my phone instead. My digitizer got damaged but my LCD works fine. I had it replaced with one a replacement front panel. Sony was going to charge me HK$2,100. I got mine replaced for HK$1,200.
I'm looking for a mainboard for the Xperia V, but i only can find the bottom board of this phone.
Does anyone has a link to a website who sells the mainboard for the Xperia V?
I need a new board because there broke a little chip of the board while replacing the screen of the phone.
I hope someone has any idea were this board is sold.
Thanks!!
I drop my SP and front glass cracked, it really looks ugly. But display and touch are functioning normally. So, my problem is how to replace it. I saw screen digitizers on ebay can be bought for 25-50 USD, but I read somewhere that it's not possible to replace only digitizer but you need to replace the screen as well. Another problem is, I saw a video on yt where a man bought faulty digitizer for sp on ebay.... So, I don't know what to do?

send it for repairs to sony centre
Not many options really.
1) Send your phone to somewhere where they can repair it for a cost.
Or
2) Buy one off ebay and give it a go yourself! If its faulty send it back.
I replaced screen on xperia arc. If you take your time and be patient its not hard. Not sure what answers you're looking for ha
As far as I was aware, for the arc, you had to replace screen and digitizer as one assembly.
The digitizer is kind of stuck to the screen, i.e. you cant do it yourself...easily.
Hello, I hope someone is can help me with this hardware issue.
So I have the Japanese version of the ZR, SO-04E, and I recently broke the screen. At first I bought a screen for the ZR to replace it, however it did not have any backlight. The new screen functioned fine, it can display if I shine a light on it, and touch works fine also. Then I thought it might be the screen, so I returned it and purchased another one, same result. The backlight will not turn on. I used multimeter to test the pins, there is no voltage at all. I tried to test resistance, and the meter will give infinity resistance between the backlight pins. Am I missing something here? Or is just I cannot use a ZR screen as a substitute and must buy the original SO-04E screen from Japan?
Thank you very much!

OK this is a completely microelectronics question. You may find it more helpful to repost this to a more renowned physics discussion forum, more so in the circuitry discussion forum. Like this: {EXTERNAL LINK] http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/ [/EXTERNAL LINK]
I have a Z3+ where the digitizer cracked by itself while laying on the table beside me. I cant use the phone anymore. Screen is still perfectly fine but touch is not working.
I contacted Sony and it turns out to be to expensive to fix at a repair shop. Is it possible to change this myself? A Digitizer is only ~10$ on Ebay but I cant find much information on how to change it.
The only video I found is this, but its not very clear:
Xperia Z3 Digitizer Glass Only Replacement
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=levTY6Ixxl8
Does anyone have any experience on doing this and could give me some informaiton?

It's Xperia Z thread, but my advice is to buy digitalizer and touch together and replace them. I tried to change just touch on my XZ and i broke digitalizer, as I read through the net and find that Sony made it nearly impossible to remove touch from digitalizer. If you don't have equipment and skills it's best to replace them together.
Good Luck!

Thank you! I think buying the full screen + touch is a bit to pricey for me. its around 100-120$, not worth it for me since I can fail to mount it and loose more money. I just wanna give changing digitizer a shot before I throw the phone in the garbage can.
I am thinking of taking it apart and see if I can separate the digitizer first, if I succeed I will order a new one and put on top.
