Hi,
I'm using an One M7 with latest OTA stock rom (5.0.2 with Sense 6.0 and kernel 3.4.10-g6388905) and it "loses" my wifi passwords after some hours after booting. The password entry in the connect list is then empty and it is not possible to enter a password there. I then have to reboot and then for some hours all passwords are there (without reentering them!) and Wifi works. The next day it is unable to log into Wifi.
Sometimes even the telephone is unable to make a call then.
I tried a soft reset, but it doesnt helps.
Is the only way to factory reset it? Are there newer stock roms, than the one I already got via OTA? It came after the last OTA, I think.
I don't want to miss Sense, and as I found there are no working Android 6 roms out...(even without Sense not).
Regards,
Stefan
Hi,
I did a complete factory reset and now its the same...
Has anybody any idea to not throw it away?
I found out, that sometimes activating the Wifi Hotspot and then deactivativating it (when it is not completely on, which doesn't work then) and activating Wifi works again ithout the reboot. But this doesn't do the trick always.

Has no one any idea what to do?
Updating firmware?
Man I dont think anyone's alive in this forum. You can see if it's an app doing it by booting into safe mode. But you should just wipe the cache. So turn off phone. Hold volume down and power button until you get the boot loader. In boot loader scroll down using the volume button to recovery. Then press power button to select. The screen will go black but wait it will eventually boot into recovery. Then scroll down to delete cache. Hit power button. Scroll to reboot, hit power button and you are done. See if that works. If not in recovery you can do a REAL factory reset. Good luck.

Hello...
Recently my home button stopped working on my phone and after searching the net and various forums, I have seen that people with the same problem have done wipes and fixed their issue. I'm trying to see if I can do a complete wipe to see if the home button will work again for me. The only problem is that I'm currently running Cyanogenmod 4.2.15.1 and whenever I get to the recovery console, select Alt+W, it asks me to hit the home button to confirm the wipe... once again, my home button doesn't work so I can't do that. Is there any way that I can wipe my phone through the terminal emulator?
Just a thought... flash Koush's recovery. It does not ask you to confirm.
Also, isn't there an option to wipe from the settings? Menu->Settings->SD card & phone storage->Factory data reset.
Good luck.
I assume this was already fixed, but just wanted to chime in and offer my own experience.
My home button stopped working randomly, I don't know what caused it to stop. Tried rebooting and that didn't solve anything. Then tried booting into recovery mode by holding the home key down. It worked so I knew the actual button worked. Did the wipe from settings like described above. That didn't work, so I was about to reflash the ROM. I realized I didn't have a backup ROM in the root of my SD card so I just rebooted normally after a full wipe from recovery. It worked.
tl;dr-> use alt+w in recovery if possible.
Anybody up for a challenge? My phone has only given me problems the past several months, and now it's currently stuck in a boot loop on Team Hacksung's CM9 Build 16. Apparently restarting my phone was a bad idea, as that's all I did to set off this new problem. The best part of my situation: The power button is broken, it has been for a couple months now. I remapped my volume keys to wake/unlock my phone, and the search/magnifying glass would lock it.
Here's what my phone can do at the moment: It can turn on, get to the AT&T screen, and get stuck in the ICS boot animation. It can charge with that green battery icon and the five dots below it. I was also able to get it into recovery (once), but I can't select anything because my power button is broken.
When it started giving me this issue last night, I just let it run until the battery died this morning. It didn't help. I'd love to have a somewhat usable phone again, does anybody have any idea on what I can do here?
EDIT: I accidentally got it into download mode somehow, so that must be a good thing.
get a jig.
Hi! My power button is broken as well, but I found out while I was flahsing a ROM recently that I could use the home key in CWM recovery as if it was the power key!
Maybe try that!
If it works, I suggest Factory Data Reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache, and reflash your ROM. Then reboot recovery and flash it again.
After you flash it the second time fix permissions and then reboot and see if that fixes it.
Wiped data cache AND dalvik, flashed to Malladus, installed GApps and LGApps at the same time. Been sitting at the android animation for at least 45 minutes all three times and still wont boot. I'm downloading stock image but was hoping someone had an experience similar and had an easy solution?

And now I offically think my phone is screwed. I cant boot into recovery, every time I try it wont enter and just reboots because I'm holding the power and volume down buttons. So far I don't think I can enter download mode either.

How to get into TWRP with hardware keys on G2
1. Make sure phone is completely powered down.
2. Press and hold the Volume down button and the Power button.
3. When the LG logo is displayed release the Power button only then immediately press and hold the Power button again.
4. Release both buttons when the Factory Hard Reset screen displays.
5. Press the power button three times, like it says. Even though it says it will delete everything, it won't (I can confirm that if you are at least on v2.6.3.2).
6. After a "factory reset processing" appears, you should get the TWRP flash screen, and you are good to go.

Thanks for replying. I've read how to get into the recovery menu many times. Something is wrong with my phone that prevents me from doing it. I'm assuming its hardware related. I was almost ready to give up yesterday when I found out that if I do the key combo while plugging it into USB, it enters the menu normally. At that point I was able to restore my backup and start again.
I think my phone has a fluke, but I've figured out a way around it.
For those who are using Malladus on Verizon, something was wrong with the radios in the set. I had to find a seperate KK baseband file for the VS980 and flash it over top of the ROM to get it to work. I'm not saying its the same results for everyone, but I tried every variant of his directions (just in case) and was unable to get LTE online. It was the seperate BB file later on that fixed it.
So I rooted my droid turbo around April and everything was fine then about 2 weeks ago my phone would go into sleep and the power button does not wake up the screen. Power is still going to the phone since I can feel the vibrate when I press the soft keys. Have to hold down the power button to restart and then sometimes boots up fast other times it takes about 20-30 mins. Finally did a full wipe internal and what not and when i flash roms the phone will respond and boots up fine then I hit the power button to put it in sleep mode and will happen again happens with 3 different roms all the same outcome. Think it might be hardware but when it is in recovery it responds to the power button just fine. I unlocked using sunshine and am using twrp 3.0.0. Any help will be appreciated

Try doing the following:
1. Flash a CM-based rom and the appropriate gapps and boot into it.
2. Go back to recovery, format data, wipe system and flash a 100% stock rom. Do not flash any modifications.
3. Boot into the stock rom and get past the setup screen. You should get a notification that says it needs to revert Motorola sensor firmware to a previous version or something like that.
4. Tell it to do that and wait for the phone to reboot (it might take a few minutes)

The recovery should not be an issue, but there's a newer version of TWRP:
[RECOVERY][OFFICIAL TWRP 3.0.2-0][For all Quark][Moto Maxx/Turbo and Droid Turbo]

I actually have done that already but i did do a full wipe including internal storage and everything was fine but it just happened again and right before it happened i was running pokemon go and i believe thats my culprit. Pretty lame but im sure of it anybody else experience this?
so unfortunately it happened again where the screen falls asleep and the device will not wake up until I reboot the device. actually had to do a full wipe again and flash another rom to it to actually go pass the bootloading screen. I did not install pokemon go that time.
Hi,
I just received a phone of a friend that hit the floor a little bit too fast. Now it is cracked and there is just a black screen but the phone can still be turned on. As I don't want it to go to waste, it's still partially working and someone can probably make it whole again, I want to sell it. But for this I need the private data to be erased.
So a factory reset is my goal, but for some reason it doesn't work out. I tried the following (which I found somewhere around here but I can't find the thread right now):
1. Get into recovery
2. Press 3 times volume down + power
3. Press 7 times volume down + power
4. Wait for two minutes
5. Press power again
This should erase the data and reboot the phone. I tried it several times but for some reason it doesn't reboot and when I turn it on again it shows my friends user name.
After that I rooted the phone and installed TWRP which worked perfectly fine. But I think I made a mistake there as TWRP is touch only, isn't it? Do I need to download the stock rom and try the factory reset again or is there any other way I can go from here?
