Hey there!
So I'm trying to get a HTC One M7 fixed here, and I have a problem. I was updating to Lollipop (stayed on KitKat for a while) then it froze then it rebooted. It had the new logo in the start screen, but it wouldn't boot to the OS at all. I've tried resetting via recovery, doesn't work. Resetting cache doesn't work. ADB + Fastboot with drivers doesn't work. I've tried so many things, like using a toolkit, using ADB + fastboot, going in bootloader and trying adb, nothing works. I'm stuck here. It's a M7 T-Mo variant. I haven't rooted it and it's on stock recovery and the bootloader information is:

I've tried everything. Please help? I have a new phone already, but I want this to get working so I can at least sell it for some money
i would suggest unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom recovery, like twrp. Then you can restore from a stock backup file (im sure people here have them).
If that doesnt work... well...
Like I said, my PC doesn't recognize my one m7. Even other PCS don't... So I can't unlock the bootloader
go to htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news/
Look carefully at instructions, download file at bottom, run file, follow wizard instructions, should return device to stock.
Will delete data.
I know you said PC doesnt recognize it, but the RUU app should recognise your phone even if the PC doesnt. And if it doesnt, boot into fastboot and try
Hope this helped

I was trying to root my Incredible S and was in the process of installing a new ROM on it and the rom got half way through and gave me an error saying that I couldn't install it on my device. Now I can only access the Fastboot screen and nothing else. (I cannot boot Android).

I don't have Clockwork Recovery Installed ( I thought I did but forgot to install it ) and I can't access adb as I can't boot android but I can use fastboot.
I have tried using cmd in windows to rewrite the CID which hasn't worked, none of the ROMs I've found online have worked (same error (Customer Identity) and yeah, I'm pretty stuck here.
If I had a Rom in zip format I could upgrade the OS through fastboot which could solve my problem but I can't find any on the net.
Can anyone help me out here??

You have relocked your bootloader for some reason. You can unlock it again in fastboot by reflashing your unlock token that you got from HTC.
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin
Ok i unlocked bootloader using Hansons 2000's aio toolkit.
then flashed recovery.
made back up
tried google play edition stock rom . it didnt take
used CWRecovery restored with back up
phone started to reboot itself every 3 or 4 min.
tried to flash stock rooted rom for this phone with both CW and TWRP. i tried to both flash from internal storage and threw side load.
then relocked bootloader and tried to flash Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.7_encrypted_ROM
now my phone just says HTC when pluged into my comp. when unpluged the only thin that is highlighted RUU with "Main version is older Update Fail!"
im not really sure what i did really hoping i havent bricked my phone permanitly
any help would be greatly welcome
here is what my screen looks like unpluged

first of all why are you using the GPe rom.. its not meant for your phone. sprint is CDMA..
2nd did you use a zip to install or an RUU
3rd can you get into recovery or atleast Fastboot. if you can then your phone is fine.
side loaded Sprint_HTC_One_1.29.651.10_Stock_Deodexed.zip
was able to get in and turn on usb debuging
have achieved S-OFF
trying to side load the same ROM hoping it takes right with S-OFF this time

can I flash Sprint_HTC_One_1.29.651.10_Stock_Deodexed.zip ?
is it valid ROM for my phone ?
as of right now i have not been able to get any rom to flash
it looks like right now the problem is getting a rom that wont reboot every 3 or 4 min.
i also aper to have no network signal.
solved
in order to fix this issue i flashed
Sprint_HTC_One_1.31.651.2_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed "this was to be side loaded" and
firmware-s-off-1.31.651.2 "bootloader does have to be locked this is repeated over and over on every page you look for RUU zips"
this solved both the reboot and network issues.
tools used
TWRP
Hasoon2000's AIO toolkit
go ahead and use this as an example of what not to do i'm not ashamed.
also i have unlocked the bootloader again and all is well ill update you in a couple of days to let you know it stuck.
update
Since my last post I have had no further issues. I hope nobody needs the info in this thread but if you do I hope it is useful
Hi,
I know that the boot loop scenario is pretty common, but my problem seems bizarre. I recently installed cyanogenmod successfully but I was unhappy with it so I decided to remove it and install a clean version of Sense 5.5. I obviously screwed up somehow.
The problem is that the phone doesn't want to boot up to the normal home screen. Whenever I power the phone on it automatically boots onto the FASTBOOT screen. From there I get a number of different problems, I shall list which options work and which do not; FASTBOOT works, RECOVERY does not (reboots back to FASTBOOT), FACTORY RESET does not work (reboots back to FASTBOOT), SIM LOCK does not work, IMAGE CRC works, SHOW BARCODE works.
When I use FASTBOOT USB I am unable to see my device on my computer also, so I am unable to look inside my SD card or use abd commands.
Here is what the top of HBOOT reads;

It seems your boot loader has been relocked. It must have been unlocked for you to install cyanogenmod right?
Which method did you use to install a clean version of Sense? I'm not too familiar with running RUUs but if you want the phone to stay rooted then I would flash a new recovery using fastboot.
I'm running into a similar problem, my HTC One is just like yours, my computer doesn't even read it as a media device and says that there's something wrong (duh), tried running up ADB, redownloaded drivers and I still have no luck.

It must have been unlocked. I used ClockworkMod, I deleted the cache and then installed the Sense ROM from my SD card.
I tried to run a RUU but I couldn't because my phone is not being recognized by my computer.
@ hrogers .. Try to load a custom RECOVERY from TWRP and/ or an RUU. executive from HTCguru

You should be able to send commands to the phone using fastboot USB. Have you checked you have the correct drivers installed and correctly set it up? Tried using a different PC maybe?
Also try starting from scratch, deleting all the PC fastboot files and drivers and re-setup.
I've never had any problems with fastboot, it usually never fails.

When i go to recovery mode, and press FastBoot, is automatically set's on FastBoot Usb, and my PC can't detected it. I got all my drivers installed and i don't know what to do, so please tell me if it's a software that Mobile Service use to fix phones.

I also need help with this. I have a backup on HTC sync and in TWRP, but CWM wont open it for some reason. I went from stock rom to CM11. I lost all my contacts because I backed up with twrp, but I had to flash CWM for CM11 to work (twrp touch screen wasnt working) I'm still on 4.4.2. Didnt think of backing up in CWM cause I thought I could re-flash twrp after I used CWM.
Hi everyone,
I'll start with this is a Rogers phone (Canadian HTC One M7).
Did some digging around the forum and I'm not sure where to go from here.
I tried the bright light near censor and leaving it plugged in for 72 hours.
Haven't been able to get it to boot, can only boot into bootloader.
Windows 10 only recognizes it as "unknown device in device manager" even after I've installed the usb drivers.
Windows 10 can't see it as a fastboot device, have tried multiple ports and cables.
Pretty sure I need Windows 7 to properly attempt resetting this.
Can't boot into recovery as it just boot loops after selecting it.
I'm not sure what I was last running, I believe CM 10.1. Haven't used the phone in over 18 months.
My bootloader reads as follows:
*** UNLOCKED ***

RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CRC
SHOW BARCODE
I don't get the FASTBOOT USB setting on the phone when running the fastboot prompts so I'm not sure where to go from here.

your connectivity issue is because hboot 1.44, you'll need xp or 7 to use fastboot. once you get that working you could try to flash a ruu

Thanks a lot bud, I used to be really good with all this when the phone first came out. Forgot a lot of the specifics since then.
