[Q] Restore stock camera

Anyway to restore the stock camera App ?
I have moved the Camera APP from "/system/app" to sdcard and then to my pc.I changed the icon to ICS Camera icon and now when i try to install it says to replace it,i click yes and after the process finish says "app not installed".
I have the APK and the .odex file of the f***** camera, just need a way to install it.
if you picked it up from /system/app then you need to restore it in /system/app itself
backup your current working camera apk and odex [as you have]..
move modified files to /system/app and change permissions to rw-r--r-- as others then only it will work.. if it doesn't reocognise in first attempt after permissions then reboot and see if it works...
if it doesn't simply means modifications don't work --> restore

Put the Camera.apk to /system using any root file manager and then set the permission to rw-r-r. Reboot. Here is the link,
Stock Camera App
If that doesn't work, just backup the data and then reflash the stock rom using odin. Hope I Helped

[Q] Camera flash ROM

Hello guys,
I tryed to flash an alternative camera flash ROM to solve the videocamera shutter problem, but it just screwed up the camera and now i can´t use it. Any onde knows where to find the original camera flash to install?
Simply redownload your rom, if it's stock redownload the stock one, if it's a custom rom just redownload it! Then extract or simply open the zip file, go in system/app, and look for camera.apk, copy it to your sd... Then with root explorer copy the camera.apk in /system/app folder of your 2x , and set permissions to rw-r--r--, reboot and it should be ok as it was before!

Stock JB SMS app

I tryed to install SMS app from Optiums G and I failed. But most importantly, it deleted my stock LG 4X SMS app.. Can someone please give me stock JB SMS app for my 4XHD? And do I install it like any other app or is there a different way to do it?
Thanks in advance!

You have a folder in "device/data/data" called "com.android.mms", if you have the issue "app not installed", probably will be better to delete it before re-install.
i deleted it..How do I re-install it? I have an .apk file and .odex file. Where do I need to copy it on my phone?

Always take a backup with titanium backup before you touch any system files, it always saved me from such situations.
If you have the APK & .ODEX, copy them over to /system/app and set permissions to
r w -
r - -
r - -
I use ES file explorer for changing permissions etc., in case you don't have root explorer

Themed Messaging APK's

I found these themed messaging apk's while browsing the moto x forum. I tried 4 of them and all work fully including MMS.

Do not delete stock app. Rename it adding .bak or move it to sd or to the computer just in case you want it back.
Take any of the SMS zip files according to your choice from the site above. Extract it and find Mms_Signed in the system/priv-app. Copy Mms_Signed.apk to the Phone – SD. In Root explorer (or equal manager) change rights to rw and copy Mms_Signed.apk to the system/priv-app. Change permissions to rw-r-r. Reboot and find the new SMS app in the application drawer. That’s it.
