and

I flashed to JM8 to update through Kies again, but Ive tried other roms aswell, with same result.
Tried the manual part from here but without any luck, my phone said "MUST BE THREE LETTERS!" or something, it showed at top "XEE" and below was just a empty spot, with a dot to the right i could click on, but that didnt helt neither, and neither did it to press the XEE.
Ive tried Kies-registryhack to update the phone, without any luck.
With using *#*#44336#*#* i get:

Anyone know how to fix this issue with PDA and CSC? and also make it update through kies?
Edit: I figured out that I didnt try with the kies registry patcher program yet, did that and it worked flawless, phone now says JPA, wich is latest one in sweden, and csc is recognized aswell. Problem solved!
Hi, My situation is the following:
I had a Galaxy S with the following stats:
MODEL: GT-I9000T
PDA: I9000TUBJG5
PHONE: I9000TUBJG7
CSC: I9000TUUBJG4
FIRMWARE VERSION : 2.1-update1
Baseband version I9000TUBJG7
Kernel version: 2.6.29 latin.umts(at)samsung #2
Build number: ECLAIR.UBJG5
I got impatient, and try to flash it to 2.2, after a lot of missteps and messed up stuff i got it working. Everything was fine until it started to crash and the wifi just stopped working a couple weeks after the change.
So, I want to go back to my stock status(like fresh out of the box), and then, with my new "experience" I'll try different things.
How can I do that? The main problem should be the firmware, I do have access to an other phone with the original stats(bought 2 that day) would that help?
I was on recently using my Galaxy S2 with Three UK 2.3.3 files, but I decided to make a move to stock Samsung firmware.
My initial details:
PDA: I9100 XWKF4
Phone: I9100 NEKF2
CSC: I9100 H3GKF1
My new/current details:
PDA: I9100 XWKE7
Phone: I9100 XXKE4
CSC: I9100 XEUKD1
Things seem to be working fine for the most part, but Kies tells me that it cannot upgrade the device. This is unusual behaviour as far as I know.
Before it simply displayed a Current Version and Available Version, both of which happened to be the same. Now it simply comes up with the error message that states explicitly that it cannot be updated.
In the future I'd like to be able to update via Kies to stock Samsung firmwares, so is there any way to fix this?
Anyone????
Maybe you should try Kies Registry Patcher to spoof it.
Or use Odin to change firmware wich is faster and easier imho.
What I really want to do is to put stock samsung 2.3.6 firmware on my telstra branded S2 (really want to get rid of the bloatware). I have no idea where to get it from as the links on XDA arnt working.
my phone info is this:
PDA: I9100TDVKF4
PHONE: I9100TDVKF2
CSC: I9100TTELKF3
I Have odin but can't find anything else. I have backed up my phone with Kies already.
Anything else I need to do??
Try the S2 thread. This thread is for galaxy s I9000 not I9100.
I have a SM-G930X which is a flat s7 demo unit with an exynos chip. I was able to get custom recovery, root, and flash a G930F firmware on it. My only problem now is that it won't start up gear vr due to "network error" I have good wifi, so I feel like its a region lock down.
So I tried to Tit backup all the gear vr related stuff from my working s6, and transfer over and install all the apps etc onto the s7. But when I plug in it still gives me the first screen of please remove your phone to update, and then updates don't work.
I used a vietnam firmware...was that my mistake?
Model name: Galaxy S7
Model: SM-G930F
Country: Vietnam
Version Android: 6.0.1 (Official)
Changelist: 7162483
Region code: XXV
PDA: G930FXXU1APB6
CSC: G930FOLB1APB6
There is also a BTU one (didn't know what the difference was at the time)
Model name: Galaxy S7
Model: SM-G930F
Country: United Kingdom
Version Android: 6.0.1 (Official)
Changelist: 110166628
Region code: BTU
PDA: G930FXXU1APAW
CSC: G930FOXA1APBA
Any ideas? Would it be as simple as changing firmware? or any other ideas with build.prop or anything else?
If you disable gear vr service, does Google cardboard work?
Someone said something about samsung switch being on the phone.
Have you managed to get it working in the network? Because mine has IMEI 000000000000000
I got it working by flashing the right firmware and the right modem/baseband.
Hope this helps.
Probably mine is diferent i used this firmware:
AP_G930FXXU1APD1_CL7538748_QB9125693_REV00_user_low_ship
BL_G930FXXU1APD1_CL7538748_QB9125693_REV00_user_low_ship
CP_G930FXXU1APD1_CL209347_QB4583367_SIGNED
CSC_DBT_G930FDBT1APC5_CL7600968_QB9025732_REV00_user_low_ship
Can you check whats your IMEI?
I have same problem, and I solved it!
Try initialize by SmartSwitch, you will get correct firm.
1 BACKUP ALL DATA and install SmartSwitch to your PC
2 select "Emergency software recovery and initialisation" without connect phone.
3 change "Software Update and Initialization" tab
4 Enter model number ("SM-G930F", "SM-G930FD" etc), then click Search
5 new field for Serial Number open. input serial number (not IMEI)
6 phone to download mode (VOL- , home , ON) and connect to PC.
I just tried, if i input my real model (SM-G930X) smartswitch closes, if i put 930f it says to check model or sn, same with 930fd, can you tell me the info you put?
