I am rookie in kernel matters, hence asking some basic questions about CM13 and EMUI 3.1/4,
1. Does any ROM supports USB OTG?
2. Does any ROM supports CIFS?
Add-on question: is it possible to implement CIFS by importing/copying cifs.ko module from other ROM/kernel?

CW 13 has USB OTG mode as well as emui 3.1/4.0

1. I have already tried CIFS manager (link you have provided), and as it states, kernel/rom should have CIFS module, which i think, is not available for Honor4x device (bcos kernel source is not disclosed, i guess).
I installed CM12.1 & 13 both, but USB OTG doesnt work.
I don't understand combination you have mentioned. Can you pls elaborate? Does this work for Che1-L04?
Any comments from experts about feasibility of CIFS, are well appreciated..

Help with flashing ROM
So whenever I try to install a new ROM, I end up getting into an infinite boot loop. Your ROM is the second one I've tried.
I've tried reinstalling the ROM from recovery mode multiple times, with combination of factory resets and clearing of cache. No success.
This is how I installed it:
* Download your .zip file.
* Transfer it over to /sdcard from Android File Transfer.
* Reboot into fastboot mode.
* Use recovery mode to install the .zip file.
* Once success (always is), reboot.
It will then reboot infinitely with the developer notice on the bottom without actually rebooting to the home screen.
Here are my phone's details:
HTC One (Verizon)
Android Version 5.0.2
S-Off
**UNLOCKED**
How can I install ROM without getting into infinite loops? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have found a kernel that supports xbox controller. The kernel is" [KERNEL] Stock Modified Kernel | TouchWiz | Auto-Root + Busybox | 8.4.2016".
In the feature it says
"Enabled Microsoft XPAD Game Controller Support"
IS there a nougat kernal for note5 that supports the same feature? If not can anyone point to any guide on how to build a kernel with xbox controller support for note 5. I want to play games using it on nougat rom.
