First you need to have root installed, then you will be able to flash recovery, then flash xposed, then add the xposed.apk
The best place to start is this great guide here.
There are several ways of getting root onto your phone, but whatever you do don't be tempted by kingroot.
Flashfire could be the alternative way of flashing xposed, so you don't have to bother with reocvery.
Unfortunately Sony phones have an encrypted partition that has a uniquie identifier key in it, if you loose or erase this then parts of the Sony software don't work. This catches a lot of people out who come from Samsung or HTC. It also makes the initial steps of modifying your phone quite difficult.
Don't unlock you bootloader.
Okey! Thank you
So i would like to know if i can install Xposed in that device without flashing.

You mean flash without using flashtool? You can't use Roms Manager to flash xposed
But if you have root, you could use Flashfire, that will flash without recovey.

I'd like to know this myself.
I have a feeling a flash to an earlier version is needed. I've tried several outdated roots with no joy.
OP you will probably get ignored or told to read a 100 page thread.
Use Easy root for xperia
google it
I know, right! Well, don't download the EasyRoot because afterwards it asks for a key and the website to get it from doesn't even function (unstableapps.com).
i think we may just have to go back to iPhone, or wait for a truly customizable new platform, where you can change battery icons and fully control your device. there doesn't seem a way to utilize our phones any longer.

New Root. I didn't have any issues. Installed a recovery too
Newroot newroot newroot!
Guys just go to this thread and download this tool by munjeni. Easiest root unroot you can find. No need to go back to an older firmware n all. Just hit root/unroot and you are all set. Make sure you install proper phone drivers though. PC companion should show that c6902 connected. I had a slight issue while rooting since the phone was not getting detected. Simply reinstall PC companion and you are good to go.

So i recently installed the Xposed Installer to my rooted Xperia V, running stock JB 4.3 and FW:9.2.A.2.5
Then i naturally wanted to install some modules, but then i saw the prompt saying that in some cases, installation of that could cause a bricked or bootlooped phone. So have any of you guys using the same firmware as I and using Xposed Framework experienced any problems? Or is it 100% safe to install the framework on it without needing to buy a new phone.
Don't want to take the risk before i hear from you, because I don't really have money enough to buy a new phone r8 now, so won't brick my V.

Do i need to have CWM recovery installed for doing it?
hey guys
im very noob for mobile programming, so can u guys just give me a blunt yet gentle response, how to root an untouched Xperia Z C6603 5.1.1? (in very detail, pretty please?)
i just upgraded to 10.7.a.0.222 yesterday, my mind had been juggling off since i bought this phone 2 years ago, whether to root or not this....
with all the kinds of unfamiliar term used for rooting process (ROM, bootloader, flash, etc), i've come to realization, ROOTING is not for beginners, especially if they first time want to root their devices...
so could u all masters help to enlighten my poor, poor knowledge in rooting process?
pretty please?:fingers-crossed:
It's simple but time consuming
Hello!
If you have a LOCKED Bootloader.
First of all, you need to go back to Android v. 5.0.2
1. So, make the downgrade using Sony FlashTool, for example. Don't forget to backup all your data.
2. Root v. 5.0.2 with KingRoot (just install the attached apk)
3. Install and execute com.supersume.apk (attached) to replace the KingRoot with SuperSU
4. Install a recovery using EasyRootTool v12.4 (attached)
5. Copy any PRE-ROOTED v. 5.1.1 ROM to your SD Card and flash the ZIP from the recovery.
Alternatively - keep everything as it is and wait till they implement a new version of the KingRoot. The one from 5 Sep. 2015 doesn't support v. 5.1.1 yet.
Hope it helps. All detailed instructions how to flash ROMs (using the FlashTool and the recovery) can be found on the XDA Developers Website.

This is how you create and flash a rom(flash a 10.5.1.A.0.283 or 10.5.1.A.0.292).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/guide-how-to-package-flash-stock-roms-t2914567
This is how you root!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/guide-how-to-root-10-5-1-0-283-t2872873
Then flash this rom in recovery!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/rom-pre-rooted-supersu-xposed-framework-t3195782
Pay attention to every step and any doubt just ask!

You need to read bilboa1's guide completely, before you start and make backups of your TA partition for good measure.
Unfortunately, you will need to downgrade your firmware to an older version, then root it, add recovery. Then you will be able to flash a pre-rooted MM build.
Don't use kingroot.

Kingroot sends all your phones details and account information, including your IMEI number to an unknown server in China, leaving you open to the possibility of a clone of your phone. It uses several legacy apk's that behave like malware and are hard to remove, it's also difficult to move onto normal root (SuperSU) and you will always have problems .
Hello Everyone
I would like to open a discussion about what usually every one do after receiving their new devices ROOT,Launchers, xposed, etc,,
I'm getting my device today so i don't know what exactly i have to do (wait for nougat releasing , which app i need to backup with etc..)
feel free to share our experience i guess many ppl wants to know
Best regards
Unlocking Bootloader, flashing TWRP. Maybe installing xposed, but I dont know yet. Just need it for Youtube adblock
Wanting something stable, maybe just root for now
First of all you should unlock your bootloader, because that will require a full wipe and that can be annoying if you start setting up your device and then have to wipe everything. Then, you could install TWRP and root your device, but since that does not require a full wipe, you don't have to do it immediately, if you don't want to.
Did root +xposed and ARISE sound mod. Everything nice and fast also installed adaway etc
Wysłane z mojego ONEPLUS A3003 przy użyciu Tapatalka
I usually unlock and root, but this thing has so much customization stock, that I'm leaving it alone so I can use Android pay.
Absolutely nothing. I haven't felt the need to root or unlock bootloader with OP3 or this one.
Agree with the two posts above.
I decided to not touch it so I can give Android Pay ago as well as use my banks app which blocks root.
ignorant question...
Do AdBlockers need root to run, or only to install?
ie. can you
- root
- install XYZ
- unroot? (with AdBlock still working)
and then be able to still use Google Pay, etc?

run
I flashed twrp, rooted and running some exposed modules . Waiting on some Roms.
My plan is to wait a week and then flash TWRP, root Oxygen with SuperSU, and maybe install Xposed. I really want root for AdAway because mobile ads are awful. I will be doing this all this weekend hopefully.
My only concern is that once we get Nougat, there is no Xposed for 7.0+. Killing me to not ask for a timeline on when we could expect a release.
Unlock boot loader install twrp, root, moab, xposed. Then wait for a good stable cm maybe use a custom rom(ehhhhmmmm darkobas).
Unlock the bootloader, custom recovery, root it and install xposed with some adblockers
Edit: and viper4android

No AdBlock needs root. Search blockada I use it even as I'm rooted as you can turn on and off the ad block allowing me to use specific price apps.
When I receive mine today will update, unlock my bootloader, root and install this kernel
