Hi All, I have a Panasonic TX-50CX680B TV and have tried 2 Remix Mini devices but cannot get any HDMI Audio. I have tried other HDMI cables, All other devices plugged into HDMI has working Audio (DVD player, Freeview box, etc). I have even tried toggling HDMI audio and "output raw audio" on and off but to no avail. I am on the latest software. Jide have now given up after sending me a replacement. The Audio works from the 3.5ml output but not HDMI, does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this please and how to fix it?
Hi,
I'd find it strange that both Minis had issues with HDMI audio. So I would:
1. Download MX Player
2. Play a song
3. Put all volumes on the Mini to max. That is:
-Through Volume keys
-Through the Volume menu on the navigation bar (bottom right)
-Through System Settings
4. Touch all Audio settings on your tv. Play with them and test.
5. Play with MX Player Audio Settings
In conclusion, mess with all the available settings, which are a lot.
Good luck

I got mine from Amazon yesterday and I have troubleshooted extensively. No matter what I do I cannot get sound.
I have:
Made sure all volumes were cranked up (TV, Device, Chrome Tab, Audio Enabled)
I have tested on my PC's browser (Video, no sound)
Tested Google music on Phone and Tablet (Video, no sound)
Tested different HDMI ports (Video, no sound)
Tested a Roku box (Video and Sound)
I cannot find anything on the internet regarding anybody else having this issue. Did I get a bum unit? Any other advice? Please HELP!
when i connect my tf701t with a hdmi cable to the tv set and play a video file
used various players bs player , mx player, vlc but the sound seems very bassy. i have reduced the tv settings but it makes little difference. is there a way of configuring the sound on the tablet?
please advise?
Try the DSP Manager. It gives you several sound tweaks and an equalizer.

I have an older Sharp AQUOS TV. Model is LC-46SV50U. I just bought the Sharp sound bar model number: HT-SB30D. I have the sound bar connected to the cable box via the optical cable and the tv connected to the sound bar via the analog cable. I have the Chromecast in HDMI 1. When not using the sound bar the chromecast plays fine and sound is heard. When using the cable box and the sound bar the sound is heard. My problem lies when casting content from any platform to the TV I can not get the sound to go over the sound bar. I do not believe my TV can pass the sound signal from Chromecast to the sound bar due to it being several years old. I am thinking a 'ViewHD Premium HDMI to HDMI + Audio (SPDIF + RAC L/R) Audio Extractor | Converter | VHD-H2HSAs' might work but before I drop the next 35-50$ on an audio extractor I was wondering if anyone else had a different workaround to this problem and if not has anyone tried extracting the audio from Chromecast and how did it work? Thanks!
I don't know if this helps but I have my optical going from my tv straight to my sound bar that way any sound coming from the tv goes to the sound bar and I use a Hdmi cable for my tv to cable box and all works well

Unfortunately I do not have an optical out from the TV. I have a 3.5mm audio out jack, a digital audio out jack and a headphone out jack. That is it for the TV. I have the TV hooked to the cable box via HDMI and the cable box to the sound bar via optical. But it is just the Chromecast that I can not get to play sound, no matter what setting I use on the TV.
I see. I think the issue might be the chrome cast signal is only going out the tv speakers because there is no signal from the tv to the sound bar. All your audio signals are coming from the cable box. Your solution should work. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Well for one you shouldn't need the Optical cable from the Cablebox to the soundbar since the Cable box is sending sound to the TV over the HDMI...
Disconnect the Optical for now and just leave the analog connection from the TV to the Bar and the Cable box sound should go to the soundbar via the TV.
Truth is you probably want to use the Digital out on the TV to the soundbar.
So other TV sources other than the CCast and Cable box work through the bar? I'm guessing they don't.
I should remind you that sometimes Optical doesn't have the bandwidth to handle DTS Audio very well.
So I mainly wanted to use the mini for Plex in my living room. I have the HDMI going into my receiver and the "Send raw audio" option is checked. Audio works overall, and with other apps, but every video I play in Plex has no audio.
Is this related to the audio codecs being yanked from the OS?
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
This might be unrelated, but I get no sound from Vainglory (a game). It seems like the system doesn't even detect any media playback, because when I use volume rocker it changes notification volume and not media volume. Reinstalling doesn't help
Just to clarify, I'm running remix on my Nexus 9
Hello all, I didn't see any recent posts regarding setting Android Auto to use aux audio output instead of USB. I have an LG V30 and the Quad DAC sound quality is significantly better over aux than USB in my Ascent's Harmon Kardon speakers. It is very inconvenient to have to unplug my phone and manually select aux in the media center settings just to play good quality music. Please help! [emoji24]

I feel ya. I have the V35, but it doesn't matter what phone. What you have to do is before plugging in your phone USB to launch AA, you must select your audio source first. And then, do not select anything else like Play Music or any other app that plays music because you can't get back to it without unplugging and plugging back in. The good thing is that you can still change tracks via steering wheel controls. I don't see Google baking in functionality for AUX ports anytime soon if ever since they want it all to go through USB and AA.
Did you try to use the option in developer settings in phone system menus to disable audio through USB routing?
