Need replacement parts for SM-N920W8 - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I need to replace the USB/Mic/Jack flex in my N920W8. Of course, no part is identified with this model. Can anybody confirm which model I should look for? If I'm not mistaken, parts for the N920A (AT&T) should be the right part to choose.<
Thanks

Galaxy Note N7000 - Hardware Differences of the same model?

Hi guys,
Recently, I purchased an Unlocked Galaxy Note N7000 at J&R NYC. As there is no unlocked U.S. Model, the O.S. that came was Chinese or Korean. I checked the label behind the battery and I concluded the model was from some Asian country. Ok, after some time the screen along with the digitizer broke and I had to purchase a new one (as Samsung Brazil don't fix models from other countries not even paying for the repair).
I purchased one officially from Brazil that is also a Galaxy Note N7000.
I feel it strange though. I seems slower, the screen sometimes lags when scrolling and I don't remember this lag from my previous one.
The question is, can they have different hardware ? Both are N7000, one from China/Korean and the other from Brazil.
Thank you and best regards,
Amid
I can't say for certain, but I know there are different versions of the firmware for each region which could account for the differences you are observing, at least in part.
If they're both N7000 model than they have the same hardware ( unless one of them is a fake, which i'm sure it is not ). Any differences might be caused by firmware though. You'd have to flash the same stock or custom rom on both of them and then check.
Thank you guys. So, this also implies that the digitizer is the same for both so if I can purchase one digitizer from Samsung Brazil it will work in the other one, correct ?

[Q] Noob Here: GT-I8190

Hi,
Just bought my wife a GT-I8190 refurbished off Amazon since we use Straight Talk (AT&T towers) and it stated that it was "new" and factory unlocked. Great part was, I thought I had done my research and was getting the same phone as the T-Mobile/Verizon model. Now I know that isn't the case. The problem is that we are looking at getting a screen/back panel protector and we are given two options.
So, my question is: What the heck did I buy? Is this the international model, or is it the regular (i.e., US) model but straight from the factory?
Thanks for the help,
EMitch
Check Settings -> About phone - > Model number. If it doesn't say GT-I8190, GT-I8190 or GT-I8190L, you have a carrier-modified version of the S3 Mini.
If the model number differs from the ones I just mentioned, you should write it here.
Sent from my GT-I8190 MaclawStudio Carbon 4.4.2 using Tapatalk
Thanks for the reply. It does say GT-I8190.

How do I know the Original Carrier of My Note 3

Hello everyone I have a question that I cant seem to find any specifics on I bought a used Note 3 it cam with what appeared to be a Stock SM-900W8 ROM knox was not tripped however my doubt comes in when you take off the back cover the sticker says SM-900W8 but the hardware on the back says N900A as well as a Big AT by the speaker is this an At&t phone or does it just share parts in common. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Look at the csc code as this may match it to firmware on sammobile.com.

Your model (SM-N960W) cannot be rooted.
If you want root, you need to get either of the following:
SM-N960F (D/S) International Exynos version
SM-N9600 International Snapdragon version
None of the North American versions (SM-N960,960U1,960W) have root, don't hold your breath waiting for it either.
Feel free to look around for the what's & why's,but, trust me,it's not happening,as evidenced by the lack of a sub-section here @ XDA for development for those models .
Thats unfortunate. I just got one as well and while its not terrible as-is... I'm very used to my Note 3 having extreme customization options and running android 9 to 11. 9 runs better on it for sure. I just shouldn't have tried to unlock it under 11. The unlock result said it was successful, but did nothing except invalidate the unlock code. So I bought the Note 9. Guess I'm stuck as-is.
Sad that it can't be rooted. Once its out of primary circulation, you'd think Samsung would let it go. Loosen the grip at least. Might have to look into another brand for my next phone. It would be nice if a manufacturer decided to make a model with modders in mind for a change. Its not wrong to dream.

SM-N9600 Purple Screen replacement

Can anyone help me out? I am trying to replace a screen for my SM-N9600 lavender purple phone (purchased from Hong Kong). However, as I'm in Canada, no service places can get the correct part (especially as I'd like to keep the purple frame). Does anyone know where I can purchase the correct model replacement screen? Apparently international models/screens are not interchangeable. The repair shops here will replace it for me if I can get the part.
Alternatively, I will be travelling to Taiwan next month, does anyone have any recommendations of places in Taipei for the repair? I could not find out any information if it is the same model as the HK phone.
Any leads would be appreciated, thanks!

https://www.skystartrade.com/search?tag=note 9 screen&g=
on both links, it is suggested that the compatibility is in fact for all models. which wouldint be surprising.
ifixit is highly trusted.
