Hi Guys,
I have been using MI5 for over a month now and have noticed recently that there has been a real rapid battery drain on my phone even though on idle mode. And to my surprise, the top battery consumer is Nova Launcher. Now this is happening just since last week. There has been quite a time since I have been using Nova Prime (even on my earlier phones) and never has such bug been spotted.
Is there anyone else who has faced similar issue? If so, can someone help me with the solution?
(P.S. The app is not updated or something, I have tried clearing cache / data, even tried uninstalling-reinstalling).
Please help since Nova is my daily driver.
Thanks,
APA

Check what you have in 'Running Applications' in settings and post the screenshot.

I bet it would be WhatsApp, mostly when you are connected to any internet source.
But when I go to sleep , wifi and data are off :;S
Then I don't know, it may be weird, but I had a battery drain too, that was caused by Maps application, and it drained even with disabled GPS option.
You can still try, disable/kill this app after you stop using it, leave for night and you'll know. For me it worked.
I never use Maps , but I will go to freeze this
Thx
PD: MAPS ARENT INSTALL ON THE CM
alright, so let's clear stuff up in here:
your battery drain is neither caused by whatsapp, nor maps.
the only important information is in the kernel wakelock pic. baseband wakelock is causing your battery drain. nothing else (at least not really, every app causes a bit battery drain ). this is a tegra 3 issue. there's no way to solve it for now.
And not are solutions?
i have the exact same problem, tried everything to solve it, changed the baseband with 20A from HK too, with no results...
randomly run out this issue, still cant settle this proble...
Hello.
I recently bough an Optimus 4x HD (5 days ago) and it is draining battery like hell... Lasts about 12 hours in average usage, with texting and cpu set at 760 mhz . I also have lg quadgearbox installed but honestly haven't noticed any big difference. Uninstalled almost every unnecessary system app , but still using way too much battery. Any ideas on what's draining all my juice?
Here are some screenshots to help I hope
install better battery stats and see what exactly is causing our phone to drain.
Did you check processor state? Does it go into deep sleep?
Allright going to install better battery stats.
Sry but how do I check if it goes into deep sleep?
Allright, installed battery stats, charged it all night long. going to let it drain until the end of the day only texting, not gonna turn wifi or play any game. Bringing some news at night !

Hello
I have this device since yestarday, And what I have noticed that battery drain is huge even when I don't use BT for smartwach, NFC, cellular internet or any other things. With very low usage battery runs out very fast.
Does anyone else have such problem with this device? is it something common?
Well i noticed that, after work around 3 p.m. i had 60% battery and now i have like 30%, very weird
I turned off double-tap-to-wake feature and I'll see if it change anything.
It's not that. It depends on the version you are running. If it's android core apps fault, then you must replace the messaging and dialing apps with some apps from play store. You can see which process is draining that much battery from checking the battery consumption in settings menu.
I have partially solved the problem by disabling double-tap feature and also the one that prevents phone from random actions in the pocket.
I have only few apps intalled and eveything that I don't use is disabled. I'm not going to root my device yet, but I will debloat it someday.
What apps may be disabled? Thanks

Same problem
Hello all,
I have few questions about the latest Android update(Android version 9) on my device honor 9 lite.
1) Why all the apps get open in background automatically ?
2) Why it got so slow, nothing works, like it used to be?
3) Battery drainage issue?
Please I request honor to fix these terrible bugs ASAP.
Have you made a back up via the backup tool? If so normally after major update it's best to factory reset the device or to clear the cache.
After this let you phone do its thing for a few hours and see how it goes.

I have cleared the cache. The main problem is all the apps automatically getting started in background mode. This is the main cause of battery drainage and my frustration. I can't unlock the phone every minute and clear all those apps from background that I have cleared a minute ago before locking. Maybe in day if I don't have any work, but definitely not at night. This is the worst experience I had in my life with any phone.

Go into settings then battery there is a section on there called app launch, set everything to manual and you'll be able to stop this issue.

Try Chrome BETA, and see if it does the same, if not, remove the BETA and install the stable one again, if the same drain happens again then it's a chrome issue and not your device.
I am facing the same issue and dont know how to solve It. Tried Chrome Beta and battery consumption even multiplied.... Hope It can be solved.
Hi guys, did you solve the problem somehow? I have same problem since few hours

I did what @Inpain suggest. Thank you by the way! It works fine for me(installing the beta version of chrome).
I still think that the Mi 11 battery is not so good. I became from a Oneplus 6t and the battery on this device was incredible.
this issue is still there for me
i tried chrome
chrome beta
brave which is based on chrome
different MIUI Battery settings.. nothing
I know that when we use a browser since a long time, it's difficult to try another one.
Chrome as some qualities but it's not battery friendly for smartphone.
You should try samsung browser. Very fluid and with good features. And battery friendly !
I think that samsung browser is really suitable for smartphone.
Yet I have been using firefox for years on my computer but it is really bad on my phone for exemple.
its not usually Chrome it will be a website that Chrome is idling on.. usually FB or instagram etc. Check permitted Notifications from Chrome too.
