Hey forum.
Quick question, how would I downgrade my SM-N910T3 that's currently on EPG2 to DOK2? I've been having issues with 6.0 ROMS (Mainly Bluetooth sync with my car, getting a massive delay after a few seconds). I'd like to go back to Cyanogenmod 12.1 and stay that way. I've tried flashing the DOK2 firmware but I get the error "fused 2 > Binary 1" if possible, could someone provide with a legitimate DOK2 stock link?
Thanks

Tried following it to no success. On EPG2 bootloader. Hope the Note4 community is big enough to get AOSP ROMs to TRY and support Samsungs new blob structure. I have no idea what other devices it exists on. If a bounty starts I think I'd throw a few dollars in.

Same problem here. Looks like they have the 910t. Still looking for T3 solution.

I have a 910T3 and upgraded to EPG2, I have not been able to downgrade. I have tried several bootloaders and modems from COG, DOG and DOK2 with no success.
If you are on EP3, you may be able to downgrade.

I have the Galaxy S6 Edge and I have it Rooted. I don't want to loose the capabilities that root offers but the AMOLED Night Clock issue drives me crazy, as does the screen auto brightness not working correctly. I've read that the newest update from AT&T fixes these issues but I don't want to loose root. Does anyone know of a fix without having to give upp root? Does OTA Root Keeper work? I'm to the point that if there isn't a fix I'll decide between giving up root or not. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer.
Nothing?
There are a couple threads that explain how to use flashfire to update to the newer updates while keeping root

Can you link me to any of those? I've been actively looking for something like that for a while but have failed to find any information in regards to the 925A specifically.

The 920 is the same as the 925 for these updates. All it is changing is system files no bootloader or already modified files.

I have seen these (in fact even commented on them in the past) but I haven't seen any 925 device users comment that they used it successfully on their s6 edge devices. Have these updates worked successfully on your ATT s6 edge??
No, I havent tried it because i am on xtrasolite 1.5 which is international OF4 based.
But after reading the threads they only add the files from the updates so you wont lose anything. The edge features are just additional files the base rom is the exact same. I would bet money you can flash them with no issues. Worse case a 5 minute oden and the time to relog into your accounts right

while that makes total sense, and thats the same message I got from reading those threads, I'll be waiting to hear from the OPs of those threads before I take the plunge.
I tried. The file that you flash through flashfire seem to install but no changes seem to be made. When I try and flash the radio and kernal I get a fail in Odin. Oh well.

I'm itching to flash this ROM and just want to verify that TWRP will remain intact. Don't need to accidentally wipe my internal storage. Thanks.

Yes, TWRP will remain in-tact. I've dirty flashed and fresh-clean flashed this rom multiple times running some various tests for myself and haven't once run into an issue. This is an outstanding update to the phone and a solid rom to start with as a base for your tweaking and modding.

Same here, dirty flashed the rooted ROM by MicroMod using FlashFire, TWRP remained intact.
Is GPS working with this ROM? I know it's a silly question but I've had bad luck with GPS on my previous phones.
Software Used to Flash LG G4?
Hi All,
Coming directly from years of Samsung and I'm really digging this LG G4! I'd love to root it so I can adjust DPI/resolution as well as get rid of/freeze a bunch of the bloat. It looks like there are plenty of ROMs that will work for me which is fantastic! However, I have no clue where to begin flashing the bootstack and ROM. I was planning on trying the process described at http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/rom-g4-h811-10n-stock-rooted-rom-t3188858 but I am not sure what application/software to use in order to do this flashing. Can someone please point in the right direction as to the process of flashing the bootstrap and ROM? Many thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Janky Jay, III

Never mind about the above question. I'm an idiot. I see at the top that TWRP is being used... DUH.
I flashed the stock rooted rom
I was rooted fine on the 10h no problems at all..I flashed the 10n version earlier today no real problems other than my wifi calling keeps giving me error: er081 " unable to connect"....Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if there is a fix for it..Thanks in advance

@bigasaucy do you have xposed framework installed? Currently the xposed framework seems to break wifi calling for a lot of people using 10n, I'm one of them
There is another thread on this forum about it where we're all hunting a solution.

@DRSdroid I read about the xposed framework affecting things, but I never installed..It seems my problem has corrected itself, it may have just been the range of my wife..hope you get your issue fixed!! and thanks for the reply

A long-range wife will solve many life problems, so make sure you always marry one with sufficient range.
On a more serious note, here's the WiFi Calling thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/help/wifi-calling-errors-10n-update-t3191362
I hope we can figure out why Xposed breaks it and fix it.

If WiFi Calling doesn't work on a totally stock, unmodified phone, you either need a new SIM card, a certificate update sent to your SIM card, or update your E911 address. Contact T-Mobile Support to resolve these.

Tha'ts not the case. I'm running the "Unbloated stock rooted ROM" that this thread refers to. Wifi calling hasn't worked since. I see other posts in the original thread with the same problems. Unfortunately, due to my account being new, I can't post there...
Apparently, one person put the factory ROM back on the phone, did a factory reset, THEN re-applied the "unbloated stock ROM" and it they claim that fixed their issue. I'll give this a try and see what happens.
I haven't done any rooting since Galaxy S3, I've checked xda and done my Google sweep, seems that the S5 Active is incapable of being rooted due to being locked.
Is this 100% true? Unfortunately I did my OTA update from 5.0 (stock) to 6.0.1, which is gonna limit me even further I'm sure.
You cannot root 6.0.1 at the moment and it's not looking promising
Ah! Damn. I was worried that was the case. Well, I'll just have to get a seperate phone for rooting and modding. Thanks for the response.
I updated to pk4.
I haven't had this phone for more than 2 days and the battery life is AWFUL. Am I alone in experiencing this? It's bone stock, obviously.

Confusion about abbreviations OF3, PK4, NE4, ...
Hello, I'm looking into the subject of rooting my SM-G870A with Android 5.1.1 and I'm confused by some abbreviations I read in many posts: OF3, PK4, NE4, ...
They seem to mean certain firmware versions? Android versions? Probably there is some explanation in a thread I haven't found yet.
(Of course a direct hint to a thread where I find the root method I need would also be appreciated ... Particularly I would not like to downgrade to 4.2.2 and be stuck with it. But I haven't found how to get to 5.x again.)
Best regards
Joachim

I think that the abbreviations for OF3, PK4, and NE4 refer to the type of bootloader for the device.
they represent the last 3 digits of the ROM version

Let me explain. Samsung likes locking their devices up with updates do they can't do an earlier version. It probably just happened that the last version you had locked it. It trips an efuse inside the phone and presto.. you can't ever get a stock rom that was released before that unless it is tweaked. Anyway, that's the way I understand it.

OK Bro thanks for answering. U say that I need to try downloading new firmware. OK I will do that. I am just asking that is again going to stock is better or not. Just asking I need to use some banking apps. That cannot open in custom apps.

Finding the absolute latest stock is sometimes very hard (if not impossible). Making the banking apps work might almost be easier. My banking app doesn't give a f**k I am rooted and running custom ROM. But most banking apps aren't like that.

thanks. i am using radeonmaya rom its fine but is there any rom that havs good battery and performance. or stock is better than this roms in terms of stock.
I've looked through official Samsung material and they currently don't offer any methods of rolling back the device to its previous update. It has vexed me with issues both aesthetic and software related and I was wondering if anyone perhaps preserved one of these builds, if it was possible at all, and if I could do it without bricking the phone! At the moment I feel crazy enough to try it and frankly this would be an educational experience. I've done a lot of work with Windows and I'm vaguely familiar with Linux terminals. Maybe I'm asking for too much.
If anyone out there is crazy enough to have an answer to my question, I would be very appreciative. Samsung really dropped the ball on this one and I had no idea it was already shipping or else I would've attempted to prevent this. Usually I really enjoy One Ui, but today, not so much. Thanks in advance.
I think you need to unlock the bootloader. All what i could find is if you try to rollback you stuck in download mode.
Just download the firmware from sammobile or somewhere else and flash it via Odin I managed to get mine back to One UI 3 fine

That's fine with me. Probably going to take more time but I'm not too worried. This is kind of my life raft out if I really hate 12. Which I'm not enjoying so far. Even if it didn't have the bugs.
