HTC m7 - LTE - frequency unlock ? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello
I have HTC M7_UL model, and trying to connect to LTE network with no luck, is there a way to check or diagnose LTE modem in the phone itself?
LTE discovery app shows 'one bar' on range permanently and no additional information regarding signal, *#*#4636#*#* and switching to LTE also fails
Thanks
-----EDIT---
Case solved, device do not support frequencies served by my operator, it is Sprint version and I need europe freqs, anyobody know if it is possible to turn on all the LTE frequencies in HTC m7 ?? I tried NV but values aren't writable ????
cheers

[Q] HTC ONE wrong frequency band

I bought an HTC ONE factory unlocked international version in Amazon, there it said it supported the 900mhz frequency on 3G, cause where im located thats the 3G frequency, it doesnt, it stays in EDGE. Is there any way to fix this, flashing the rom/radio or something to make it pick up that frequency, or im stuck with this?
For now you're stuck with that.

Have you rooted? I suggest installing the Cyanogen-m7 Nightly on your phone. To set up the connection when it's installed, do Settings>Wireless & Networks More...>Mobile Networks and then choose your settings.

You're pretty much stuck there permanently unless you consider returning the device. The difference in the frequency is hardware so you won't be able to fix it unless you rip open the HTC One and replace the modem chipset there.

Hello, But what if the hardware is the same?
I have the 801n model with the CID O2_102. I live in South América and as I've seen, the hardware can use the 850MHz 3G band but it seems that it's locked. I think ATT phones are 801n too.
Changing the radio will unlock the bands?
Thanks in advance.
EDITED:
I contacted HTC Support Center and they confirmed that this equipment should work in the 850 Mhz 3G Band.
"The HTC One 801n indeed supports the 3G frequency 850 MHz. What I can recommend is to verify with your carrier if the network settings are correct on your device to ensure the proper functioning of the 3G connection."
Network settings are ok, I still think this is a software block.

Sorry, how do I check the APN settings? And what other information do you need?
model number is HTC One 801e
access point names:
internet.globe.com.ph
APN doesn't have anything to do with the availability of LTE in your phone. It's the phone itself.
Some HTC One variants don't have any LTE radios in their unit hence you can't see any LTE options.
And by the way 801e variant don't have LTE... 801n is the one with LTE.

APN is just a configuration for your phone to be able to connect to your network's internet gateway hence it's called Access Point Name While network mode is an option you can set to your phone to tell which radios it will activate.
Activating the LTE radio on your phone enables the phone to accept LTE signals but APN is also required.
you could consider the APN as a pass or invitation in real life situation whereas you are not allowed to enter/access without an invitation.
Is there a way for me to have an LTE signal?
I contacted the seller, and they're insisting that they sold me an LTE capable unit.
I asked for a replacement unit that's LTE capable, but they might just force this one..
To check:
Go to the dialer and enter;
*#*#4636#*#*
Click on Phone Information
Scroll down to Set preferred network type and check if LTE is an option

I tried this:
Set preferred network type: GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto
But going back to Settings > Mobile data / Mobile Network Settings > Network Mode
LTE still not in the options list
Dont think you can force the option from here without the correct APN settings and a valid network supporting LTE.
There are two models in HTC One.
First one is HTC One 801e which is only 3g compatible and is exclusive to Taiwan and the other one is HTC One 801s which is 4g compatible which is for rest of the world.
First you check your CID.If your CID is HTC_621 then your phone is only 3g compatible.
To check your CID download (Cid getter) from play store.

[Q] Change default bands ?

Hey guys,
I read a lot about changing bands for HTC, but I did nt find anything helpfull to resolve my issue.
Got an HTC_Europe, but only USA bands are available, and "automatic" mode does not give me any network -> Only 2G / Egde, not 3G or LTE.
Try different ROMs from developement area, but it was not working.
Are there any chance I got it work for my Country (France) ? By flashing radio or other ?
Edit: Since I saw that, I hope for any hacks

If you have the M7_U it does not support LTE only the m7_ul gets LTE (you find this in the bootloader screen)
in the mean time you can change your radio preference by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and choosing Phone Info
midway down is your radio frequency choose WCDMA preferred or just try different settings (GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto is my setting)

HTC M8 Sprint 831C signal issue

i have htc m8 harman kardon edition model number 831 c. It doesn't support lte band of Pakistan due to frequency unmatched. to unlock all the frequency of lte band i read some threads in this website and change the nv value of mobile through QXDM and QPST. unfortunately, due to some mistake or by wrong information i have changed the nv values of gsm as well like 0441 etc. i don't know the exact values now, but after this my phone is not picking the signal. it shows circle on signal bar and continues. Aeroplane mode very difficultly switch to on otherwise signal bars remain fluctuating and drain the battery very quickly. i am not able to change network mode by applying *#*#4636#*#*. i have flashed the phone, install custom rom, reinstall software, root the phone but no effect.
Kindly help me i dont want to lose this phone.
waiting for your reply.

I'm having this same issue as I'm stuck on 2G while d device has 4G. Tried unlocking the bands through qpst and dfs CDMA tool, yet no success. From what I've read, we may b able to add bands with a custom kernel which I'm not sure has been created for this device.
Unactivated
I'm trying to activate my service with a CDMA carrier that is called choice wireless I haven't active the phone yet unsure if it will cause a problem no bars. Just locks the 4g LTE gsm. The carrier don't use Sims and I haven't yet to call them. Plz help
