Disable pocket mode in dialer settings! [emoji12]

Already disabled, but still problematic high volume
Install the app: Disable increasing ringtone from android market.
You must also go to battery settings and allow the app the app to be on when the screen is off.
The fault is that the phone increases the ring volume very fast. Annoying but this app fixed it.
easy

I have the same issue and found out that Huawei messed up loudness settings for ring tone. If I set it to highest value it rings quiet and it's loud if I set it to low volume.
Try it out to see if you have the same result.

Rebooting the phone solved the issue. Now everything is ok.

Mine seemed fairly loud once I turned the "Alarm volume" all the way up and told it not to use the increasing volume option.
i dont see alarm volume. either way the ear piece volume is low as is the speakerphone volume... would be nice to have a hack to increase it. if this fixes the alerts that would hold me over till a hack hits for this.
where is the increasing volume option.

It's the volume check box in the alarm options.
first day I used droid x as an alarm i was late for work because the sound was so low
Unchecking "use increasing volume" made it better
I suggest buying one of those cheap Ipod/Iphone speaker setups they sell at walmart for like $9 and just hook up to the audio jack if you're gonna use it as an alarm
Bump because I wanna know if it can be increased

Ok i found the increasing volume setting. Go to your alarm clock, hit add alarm and the the increasing volume setting is just past halfway

I'd like to see a increase in the volume of the earpiece. It's a bit difficult at times to hear some people talk on phones that have microphones that are a bit on the low side.

You have to click on the alarm that your trying to activate and its the second to last click-able option before "Done" & "Revert".
I'd love to see a volume hack. When music or ringtones are playing, I think the volume level is satisfactory but sometimes there are certain apps and movies that have lower than normal sound levels and it would be nice to temporarily boost the speaker. Maybe a speaker mod is in order, here
Is there a hearing impaired option in the phone settings? Some android phones have that and it increases volume. Another method is for someone to mod the kernel to accomplish this (which has been done on other phones like the EVO)
I know its not a hack, but the app Quick Settings allows you to control all of the volume settings individually. Its really nice.
Motorola has finally acknowledged this problem and has stated that a fix will be included in a future software update (probably Froyo)...
Go to settings go to sound and display go to media audi effects phone speaker make sure enable audio effects go to equalizer to desired setting
not a fix but seems to help
For alarm volume.
While in the first menu of the alarm screen press the "Menu" button. Then select the "setting" button. Alarm volume is the second option down.
Guys I have strange problem, well I think it is problem. Whenever I set ringtone any ringtone on my Note, and when someone is calling me, phone is ringing with very low sound for 1 or 2 seconds, and then immediately is increasing to high sound. I checked, rechecked the settings but I could not find any settings for this. Is this normal for every Note out here ? ? ?
Thank you

Its a feature increasing ringtone ! If you have a custom rom like Checkrom then you can disable it by installing a zip and then you will have a normal ringing ringtone and not the gradually increasing ringtone!
Cheers!

I am still on stock ROM.
Hello!
Since a couple of days my daugthers phone is having a sound problem.
For alarms and phone calls there is no sound. Music works fine. I upgraded to GingerDX v29 but still the same. Volume is high.
Also if I select another ring tone no sound (normally you hear the new ringtone you want to select), also not silent mode.
She only removed some apps since memory become full.
Any other suggestions are welcome!!
Thanks:laugh:
Media volume is different from alarm volume..check settings>sounds>volumes >Alarm volume ..drag it to the right, if stil no sound then thats prob

Maybe "silent" profile activated? If yes, activate the "default" profile. If that wont solved your problem, try full wipe.
Full wipe solved it; Thanks
I can't any more. Its been this way since the update. Every time I try to change my ringer volume it changes my in-call volume, even when I am not in a call. I always have to go to the settings menu to change it.
No issues for me. All volume controls work as they should.
yep im also having no problems with ringer volume. it must just be you sorry bro
My volume works fine except when using Motorola assist it sometimes resets the volume louder.

I'd like to know how to unlink the ringer and notification volume. Any ideas? Some times I want to mute my notifications however still need to hear incoming call as they're usually more important than notifications.
Use something like Tasker to increase the volume when phone is ringing and decrease it back to normal for notifications. I use macrodroid
