Hi guys.
I just rooted and flashed the latest version of cyanogen. But now my data isn't working. Really at a dead end here, don't know what else to do. Here's what I've tried.
-flashed various different roms, including cyanogen 12 and 13. Rebooted stock rom, no difference.
-got APN settings from provider, tried different variations. i'm certain these are correct
-all the obvious things, like rebooting, going into airplane mode, check roaming data
-tried the sim on another model of moto g (first gen) also with cyanogen 13.0. It works fine! so not a sim problem
It's consumer cellular an MVNO bought in VA, used in NY, cyanogen is cm-13.0-20160809-NIGHTLY-titan.
Texting and calling works fine. The baseband version is MSM8626BP_1032.3116.99.00R
Any help appreciated!
This also happened to me too when I flashed cm-13.0-20160806-NIGHTLY-titan.zip on Monday. I've tried everything and data still is not working.
It's bizarre. Absolutely nothing works. With one exception: I tried a T-mobile sim card, non-MVNO, and data started flowing. AT&T does not work, however.

I recently installed both AOKP and CM10, the most recent versions on my Verizon Droid 3. Now, i have no service. I downloaded (via wifi) the app "lte on/off" to get a look at what was happening, and the radio keeps rapidly switching on and off, on and off over and over again. This happened with all the AOKP versions i tried and both CM10 versions I tried. Ive rebooted, re-flashed, tried different download links, reflashed again, wipe and reflash. Im at a complete loss here guys, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had the exact same problem. I went insane scouring the web for hours trying to find a single person with the same problem until I finally gave up. Does anyone know the last version that actually worked?
I also have this problem, do anyone have any idea how to fix this problem?

I had similar problems on cm10.1. I have no idea if this will work (I'm outside the US, and my phone asked me to activate the phone), but I also had no service, no data. I changed my network mode from GLOBAL to GSM/WCDMA auto. Now I have service and data (Data after applying the correct carrier apn settings)
I hope this helps you all
P.S. after this step I made factory resets without the need to do the above step again (You only need to put the correct apn settings again if your on networks other than Verizon)
Hey guys,
in the beginning, sorry for my bad english (native german). I have a problem with my I9295 aka S4 Active. Since the update to 4.4.2, my phone gets thrown out of the network. Wlan and Bluetooth is fine. Now I flashed the official Samsung DOB4 firmware. Yes, I've downloaded the file multiple times, and the md5 sum was always right. After I flashed it, I was very happy because my cellular network was working again, I could make some calls, etc. But after 20 minutes, it started again. No network. Well, my IMEI was null, and to fix it I had to root. After rooting, my IMEI is there again (yes, the right one) and everything worked fine and was still working, up to yesterday. IMEI still there, baseband too, everything seems fine, but I can't get network. I have to reboot multiple times to get it working again, after that it's working maximum a day, after that, no network again . Atm, i've flashed CM12, but the error is still occuring. I'm very desperate, I hope somebody can help me.
I have a quite similar problem:
My I9295 loses service randomly. Happens quite often.
When I try to go to Settings/More Networks/Mobile Networks I am told "No SIM ..."
SIM is in and had been active. Phono tells me I have network reception.
After reboot it works for an hour or 20 minutes or whatever it wants to.
Sometimes it reconnects after a while, sometimes not.
When I leave it on during night netx morning reconnect works only via reboot.
SIM reader had been replaced.
Problem persists with genuine 5.0.1, with this one: [ROM][Official Nightly CM12/Unofficial CM12.1][5.0/5.1.1] builds for I9295
and WizCyan ROM.
Any suggestions?
BTW I use a TWRP recovery
Possible reason explained here

Enjoy
Thanks for the hint.
Not sure if I get this. The problem was also there with the genuine Samsung ROM (lolipop)while the thread talks aout losing modem function after flashing custom ROM.
About previous I am not sure as I bought it used with 4.2.2 on it.
I updated to 4.4 and then 5 OTA, all genuine.
Only because the mobile kept on losing network I switched to custom ROM, but the problem persists.
At the moment I use the Pac-Man ROM 5.1.1 where it seems to be more stable.
Strange!
@augek
The linked thread isn't only about custom roms - you can end up with partly flashed baseband on genuine if you don't power off before download mode and flash using Odin.
Was the replacement job of SIM reader done by a qualified person?
Following your Suggestion i flashed the genuine lollipop with odin. Yes i switched of Prior to flashing.
And Yes the Person Who did the card reader Job is qualified.
Still the Problem persists.
So to me the question is if the Firmware (driver) is the Problem of my sim card. The sim i tried on my s4mini and doesn't cause Problems so far as far as i noticed.
P****es me of somehow.
OK so today my phone was showing no sim and when I tried adding apns it would not save them. The APN list was blank and said this user is not allowed to use APN. Went to ATT got new sim nothing. Was running sinless 5.1 with Franco. So got home got on WiFi downloaded new meanpop flashed it with Franco. Still nothing. So I reflashed radio and boot loader. NOTHING. So I installed a backup of the factory image I made the day I unlocked and rooted my phone. Voila everything works. As soon as my phone chargers I will be try a 5.1 ROM without Franco to see if that was the problem.
Since its moved to q&a has anyone else had this problem?
Hey guys!
So today I tried getting an update for my stock 5.02 unlocked XT1068.
Considering that almost bricked my phone I decided to go for a custom ROM to avoid the issue in the future,
Now, after finally updating my bootloaded to 48.82 and recovery to 2.8.7 I managed to flash the [THEA][6.0] Cyanogenmod 13.0 [UNIFIED] ROM from this forum.
No other would be accepted due to the device being THEA.
I flashed the gapss afetrward and rebooted the phone.
It started up nicely, sets up the 110 apps.
Now as soon as I get to setting up my account and so on, I get the message the phone "does not detect any SIM card".
Mind you my SIM is inside the SIM1 slot all the time and it worked fine just 6 hours ago.
Now I tried looking up the forums for Moto G 2014 and 2014 LTE but found nothing that could help me.
Supposedly these new ROMs don't have the old issue with SIM, on the other hand they do not work with multi-sim (XT1068 is dual).
I am running out of options here, I've read through multiple full threads on these ROMs and I would like to avoid going back to stock ROM.
Would really appreciate any kind of advice.
Flash correct TWRP and CM:

You are a wizard, you know that?!
Changing to Titan distri solved the issue.
Up till now I was really convinced that THEA was connected to hardware, not that changing up the Recovery will fix stuff.
Thank you so much LuK!
Hi,
I've mostly had Cm12.1 on my Moto G but recently (on accident) updated to CM13. Since then my phone's mobile data(3g, H+) hasn't worked.
I've tried to empty data/storage/system/dalvik/cache, everything I could, as well as a few different roms:
- The newest snapshot for thea, 20151117
- The newest nightly, 20151209 (CM13)
with no results...
On my current try I see an exclamation mark on the signal icon, but nothing works to get mobile data working.
Wifi works beautifully though as well as calls and text messages.
Any ideas what I could do?
The last rom that my mobile data worked with was the newest CM12.1 20151129, but I'm haven't been able to download it since it has been pulled from the cyanogenmod website. If someone has it, could they send it to me?
Same issue here, updated to cyanpop then downgrade to stock 5.0.1 and I have no signal
