hi guys, any of you know a cable for broadcast on TV the screen of oneplus, I'll explain, I bought a joypad Bluethooth to play with my OnePlus and would like to connect the TV to the device to play them
Sorry but the phone isn't MHL compatible :/
And there are other ways to connect the device to the TV to play?
iknow there exists the option to do with mirroring Chomecast , but I'm afraid that there may be delay of input lag , and this would be annoying

Chromecast lags as hell. So thats unusable for playing.
Anyway this is the droid you're looking for:
https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matter...tDescription_secondary_view_div_1471236276365
But I suspect that there is no support for this via OOS, I'm not certain that whether the support is hardware or software based.
thanks to you for yours replies, i have at home a chromecast and soon as I get home i try this solution.
if chormecast should Lagging what I need is a cable that has the MHL conversion function , right?

Sadly OnePlus 3's USB Type-C port is only half way there since its just USB 2.0. If it would have been USB-version 3.1, screen output and all kinds of nice stuff would have been possible.
OP3 does NOT have MHL support either, so you are kinda stuck with this matter. Go wireless with Chromecast or get another phone if its important to you

I tried with a old chromecast that i have, there is a little lag and the experience with the games is not Good...

FYI all displaylink adapters work with Android for screen mirroring. All you need is a usb to go cable and a displaylink capable usb to video adapter. As well as the app from the play store!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.displaylink.presenter
https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-1920x1080-1600x1200-DisplayLink-USB-HDMI/dp/B005UKG4KU
Works well for me.

And displaylink worked great on both my 5x and op3. Worked well for video but did not pipe sound over HDMI.
Will work great for those times I don't have wifi available to cast to a Chromecast.

Last I read, the Nexus 7 didn't have MHL capabilities.
I believe this function was going to be added through the use of Nexus Q & Google TV systems. However that's officially on the back burner.

Have a look at the video in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874757
I am not sure if u can stream via hdmi fom nexus to TV, but if it is possible this is the cable u would need.
HDMI to Micro Type D
Not mhl compatible, but maybe a future dock will have that.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
the future dock would still require the tablet to be mhl capable, therefore no, there is no and will be no way to directly plug the tablet into a television, what there is hope for is streaming via a nexus q device.
Hey folks, I'm new here. Have been lurking a bit.
I've been bugging Nexus support staff about features/upcoming features.. as I'd expected, they're pretty hush-hush
One guy even fibbed to me, saying that a USB OTG cable and peripherals such as keyboard, mouse, usb drives.. will not work with the Nexus, even if I unlock it. Maybe he just didn't know any better.
Anyhow, I love this little device, but the lack of tv-out in the form of display mirroring is flat-out pissing me off.
I'm not experienced with coding for android devices by any means, but I did have an idea. (If Nvidia doesn't certify Nexus 7 for Miracast sometime in the near future.. it IS a tegra 3 device, so I'm hoping they do. It may be the solution to our problem.)
...This idea could be too fantastic to be a realistic possibility, but I thought it was worth a share..
What if an apk could "trick" the protocol for displaying video via wifi on droid devices?
What if the receiver could detect the incoming signal as a video file, and the app on the device could trick the nexus (or other non-MHL droid device) into treating the screen display as a video file?
Since the latency between displaying video on the Nexus and displaying it on a television via wifi isn't bad (from what I know), it COULD be practical enough for gaming, if it were done correctly.
TL;DR, the app would screen-capture the display, and send it to a receiver as if it were a compatible video file.
Am I just speaking fantasy-talk? Is this feasible? Thoughts?
The tegra3 has wifi streaming similar to apples airplay. The receivers just aren't out yet. Reading up that tmobiles SGIII will have a premium pack with some kind of aircard device that streams video over wifi for $99.
I think we are also waiting on Dlink. You can already do this with a rasberryPi for a good DYI solution.
I'm waiting for someone to make a box and a roku channel that captures streams on the network.

The german translation is honest: you need an MHL-Device to use this adapter. As we know the nexus 7 isn't configured with one. It won't work.
Its here! The connectivity demo to end all connectivity demos - see what your Note 2 can do! Any questions feel free to ask
Make sure to use the time-stamped navigation links in the video description to get around.
Gear used in the video:
USB OTG cable
Externally powered USB hub (i-Rocks one)
Logitech K400 wireless USB keyboard/mouse combo
Xbox 360 for Windows controller
MHL adapter for Note 2
AllShare Cast Dongle
Datel Retro Wireless Controller - not available any longer as far as I can tell - keep an eye on Amazon and Ebay as it still appears there sometimes
Logitech "For Android" bluetooth keyboard
Logitech "For Android" bluetooth mouse (note that any HID profile bluetooth mouse should work)
Seagate GoFlex Satellite drive
Apps: N64oid, FPse, MX Player, Bubble UPnP, Wind Up Knight, USB/BT Joystick Centre
Beastwars bandcamp page - beastwars.bandcamp.com stream the whole album and purchase there with all proceeds going to the band!
Got to run now, but will add links to places to get some of the stuff a bit later on.
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate the time you put in to show off all these cool features. I'm still waiting on Verizon to release the Note 2 unfortunetly. When using the Allshare dongle does the multi-screen feature work. For example could you watch Netflix and browse the web, and if so is it smooth. Thanks again for the video.
Oh, not tried it to be honest! Can't believe that slipped my mind, I will test it later and let you know.
Can someone please sticky this

OK, tried it, but whenever you watch video it full-screens the video to the external display (it is still split screen on the device and you can interact with the other window, but I don't think that is what you were after?).

is it possible to connect MHL adapter to USB hub (using a converter from 11pin microUSB to USB, if such thing does exists) so we can use HDTV mirroring and USB OTG simultaneously?

Oh that actually sounds pretty nice being able to stream video(hopefully Netflix) to the TV, and still browse on the phone. Is there a specific otg usb cable for the Note 2, more specifically t889 ? I had been searching every scenario , 5 pin, t889, etc. and can't find any that specifically mention for the Note 2. Meanwhile, I read posts and comments about people connecting the wrong usb otg and bricking their phone. What are you using? Thanks~

No, no specific cable, any USB OTG cable should work fine. Never ever heard of anyone bricking a device using a USB OTG cable - do you have links for these posts? I have to wonder what those people were doing if their phones bricked...
Well I've been searching about MHL support on the Moto X and I discovered that actually he doesnt support this king of cable, to stream the content to a TV via HDMI. But I also heard that its a SOFTWARE limitation, not a hardware one... So in theory we could activate this function.
Anyone knows a way or a custom ROM that supports it?

Seems it is a HW limitation, the needed chip is not there, to me anyway. But there is no workaround, there are post confirming this.

It is a workaround indeed - Miracast. It even has advantages comparing to the HDMI - no physical connections. It is a bit more expensive but it worth the price.

It depends of your needs. I must admit that I don't possess the Chromecast, I just borrowed it once from my friend. But as far as I could learnt, it doesn't do screen mirroring, it can only transfer certain video. And you can't transmit audio separately, the screen aimed for video must have its own audio production too (loudspeakers). You can't use plain monitor with the Chromecast if you want to have audio. Or I missed something?

well usually display ports are outputs(of course except on capture cards)..so out to out obvisouly wont work on regular devices. Unless the surface has the ability to input? just wonder how device manages switching between an output and an input... not even going to google it as this is very highly improbable.

hello guys i need help here. i already double check that my OEM unlock is turned on now on my device, but there still RMM State : Prenormal on my bootloader download mode
is it safe to flash TWRP & rooting the phone now even im already turned on the OEM unlocking but there still RMM State Pre normal on bootloader? ill just waiting until i got reply
the reason i need to root my phone is, i need netflix to work with HDMI Out to my TV using Type-C to HDMI Cable, but when i plug my HDMI from my Phone to TV, netflix got error 5.2 when play the movie, and i read somehow on youtube just only need to rename liboemcrypto, is that right?
If that is the only reason for rooting, I think that a chomecast or something similar(of course assuming that the tv is not a smart tv) would be a better option, no cable needed, they are very cheap
I concur with winol.. Just output to tv is not a good reason to risk rooting your phone.
