Hello guys,
I have a very biug problem now.
I was with TeamICSSGS and I decided to move from it to Slim ICS.
But because I wanted to be fast I didin't read correctly and I didin't flashed the correct thing.
I flashed the I9000 Essentials and not the base which made the phone bootloop with the touch recovery.
Then I did a factory/data wipe and after the reboot there was no recovery and only bootloop.
Then I decided to flash a gingebread bootloader in the panic, don't know why I falshed it and it bringed me CWM Recovery of which I installed several ROM's with fail because they just stop installing when reac the kernel installation.
Then I downloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1685040 and flashed it, but with some recovery errors and bootloop again.
Can someone help me, please.
EDIT: I did that http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=657 and it worked.
Hello
I'm trying to flash PacROM 4.4 and I'm encountering a problem with "set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed".
As I searched its because of old recovery tools, but I'm already uusing CWM 4.4.1 and I cannot find out what to do.
The way I tried to flash ROM :
1. Flash stock .254 ROM
2. Install TowelRoot and CWM
3. Flash with CWM 4.4.1 and this is where error come up (kernel 207 works)
Thank you for help
edit: I managed to install VANIR ROM, and later with the same method I managed to install PAC ROM too. I used CWR not Philz.
Your problem was most likely related to your recovery, which was probably outdated.
CM based ROMs sometimes have issues with older versions of CWM.
The reason why it worked after installing Vanir is probably because of Vanir's kernel which includes a more recent version of CWM.
Anyway, glad you got it working.
Hello!
I made some ports of custom recoveries for Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Plus both I9192I (serranove3gxx) and I9195I (serranoveltexx) variants:
CWM 6.0.5.1
[*]Philz Touch 6.59.0 (based on KK)
[*]TWRP 2.8.4.0 (based on KK)
[*]TWRP 2.8.7.1 (based on LP + new UI)
WARNING! Flashing custom recovery will trip your knox!
Installation instructions:
for ODIN:
1. Extract x.x.x.md5 from x.x.x.tar.zip
2. Flash with ODIN x.x.x.md5 file
for CWM:
1. Copy x.x.x.zip (without tar) to your sdcard
2. Reboot into CWM recovery
3. Choose "Install zip from sdcard"
4. Select x.x.x.zip recovery and confirm installation.
NOTE: If used TWRP-2.8.4.0 wipe cache before do installing TWRP-2.8.7.1 and do the same if backwards.
Attention!
I9192I (serranove3gxx) /I9195I (serranoveltexx) are not the same as that I9192 (serrannodsxx) / I9195 (serranoltexx), and these recoveries are unsuitable for I9192/I9195

Hi,
A big thank for your recovery, even if I don't own an i9192i but an i9195i. It's a good start for a new ROM.
I think both are the same except than the i9192i have 2x3G and i9195i have only one 4G(lte).

@Math996: I don't have any error with TWRP, and a clean message that said that kernel was flashed, but when I boot, no new kernel...
alexax66 is on the way This could be the same problem, but TWRP is less verbose...

Hey, I flashed CWM, and it worked great (on the I9195I), and then wanted to try out Philz and TWRP, which both work great, but 1 issue: with those recoveries, my phone only can boot to recoveries. Anyone else seeing this?
Hello,
Thanks for your effort.
I have i9195i.
I'm new here and my question is if I installed TWRP 2.8.7.1 using Odin.
My phone will be rooted?
Sorry for stupid question and thank you very much in advance.

Unfortunately there is still no cyanogenmod 13
Best regards
HI alexax66,
now i tried TWRP - flashing worked perfekt but after installing superuser I got the same as with CWM.
Boot loop with: Recovery is not seandroid enforcing
Set warranty Bit: Recovery
How can I fix this?
Best regards
Dog
ok I fixed It myself- just use odin an reflash it and the problem is gone - AND u got root access
I was happy about found custom recovery for I9195I, but i cannot install. Neither by flashing with Odin, neither i can root with anything. Build is KTU84P.I9195IXXS1AQA1 . For these recoveries the Odin says Secure error, for all.
Can someone please point out what i'm doing wrong?
Solved! One must disable all security features (new reset lock, remote control, everything), before flashing.
Hi everyone,
So I've tried to install an unofficial CM12 ROM, from here, on my i9305. An error happened, because of my recovery, which should have been TWRP instead of CW.
So I installed TWRP, using Odin, and it seemed to work... only after a reboot, the CM12 logo was looping... So I flashed the official CM, and the phone was booting correctly... till I noticed that my IMEI was null!
After some readings, I installed a stock ROM from Sammobile for my i9305, and -- oh joy! -- IMEI was back again. But if I try to root the phone again, systematically IMEI get lost... And my actual only solution seems to be staying with stock ROM :crying:.
That's the reason why I'm here : asking you for some help, in order to get rooted again, to install an official CM this time... Don't want to stay with Samsung stock ROM! So maybe there is anything I could do, to keep IMEI and smartphone "stable" while rooting?
I thank you in advance for your help, and hope my english will not be too bad...
Hi,
do not use TWRP 2.8.7.0 from TWRP Website: broken build!
Please flash this Recovery via Odin:
here
Thank you so much! I just tried with another TWRP build, and everything was fine! I'm also trying the unofficial CM12 ROM from here, and very happy with it.
Again, thank you very much, problem solved!
Hello guys! How are you?
I'm having some bugs with CyanogenMod 12.1 in my MotoG and haven't found nothing that could help me with my problem.
Well, here's the story:
My device had Android KitKat 4.4 as the stock rom and I updated it to Lollipop 5.0 before rooting.
Well, I unlocked the bootloader and used TWRP as a custom recovery and installed SuperSU.
I've been using the phone about almost 8 months after rooting and then, Motorola released an update, I tried to update it via OTA and, of course, it didn't worked since TWRP can't OTA. Nothing changed in my phone, I simply rebooted it and it worked but since a few days some apps started to suddenly close and/or stop.
I decided to install CyanogenMod 12.1, downloaded the latest nightly and a stock package of GApps and flashed them via TWRP.
Wiped Dalvik Cache, Data, Cache and System
At the first attempt, TWRP rebooted after flashing CM12.1 and I wiped the caches via WIPE menu before flashing GApps wich couldn't be installed because there was "no space in storage". Well, I booted my phone normally (running cm12) and downloaded a Micro GApps package and flashed it sucessfully.
Problem is: Clock stops working (it has stopped for now), I can't install some apps from PlayStore such as Facebook, etc and my phone appears to be unrooted.
I think my TWRP is bugged or something cause it does not works as tutorials, etc tells...It shows some errors and sometimes reboots itself after flashing some file.
Do you guys think I should reset everything and then redo all the steps to use CyanogenMod properly? I really liked this custom rom but I'm afraid there will be more bugs in the future....
Anyone?
my solution..
1. (JUST SAYING)You can install ota through fastboot. Use the ota file found in root.( There is a thread for this)
2. Try installing Lucas 2.8.7.0 build. Find it in his thread. Its posted there. It's somewhere in the sea of posts just find it.
3. Then try to clean flash cm 11 build. Then install cm 12.1 build.
4. See if it works.
I don't understand why you face this problem cause well TWRP is very stable.
Well see if it works and get back to me.
Edit :
Saved you some trouble here's the link for TWRP
Link : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0WGdtNWubBJVlctNE5PZ1oyQ00/view?pli=1
Its labelled as 2.8.7.0 but its actually 6.0 features of 7.0.

This is exactly what you should do.
There are several things that don't work as they supposed to do, so follow the steps @sagar846 mentioned.
