[Q] Snapchat blocking Xposed users? - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I did the dumb thing of accidently logging out of snapchat and now when i try to log back in it says, “Oh no! Your login temporarily failed, so please try again”. I tried on a phone without X-posed installed and logged in just fine. Is there any way to unistall the framework without having to reset my phone or is a reset the only way to fix the problem?

Thanks for the suggestion, I did end up flashing the uninstaller, but my phone wouldn't boot up after I did that. I went the route of just wiping my phone clean and restoring it from an earlier backup. That did the trick.

Sorry im late here is the link to the thread for the xposed installer http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/material-design-xposed-installer-t3137758/page1
---------- Post added at 06:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:51 PM ----------
Btw installing and uninstalling xposed takes time to boot. It takes around 2-5 minutes. Even when you will disable xposed using the xposed installer in the link above it might take atleast 1 min and if u didnt read in the thread you must uninstall the previous xposed installer on your device. Btw its mainly for lollipop and marshmallow. Not sure if it will work on older Android

Xposed framework and wanam require root access. The o.p. has unrooted therefore they won't work.

@callmetwst are any apps that had root access still installed? When you had root access did you modify any system properties?

Its not much of a problem, but install xposed installer from the internet, then download wanam xposed within the app/play store. Restart phone after activating the module on from installer. Go to security hacks and click "Fake System Status". Restart phone. Voila! You won't see that problem any time soon after that.

Step 6: Navigate to System -> xbin and delete Busybox
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2296014
Worked on my Note 3.
Use Triangle Away from the Play Store. It'll reset the system status to official.
EDIT: never mind, I didn't see that you had unrooted. You could always re-root, then us a root file explorer to erase everything in system/xbin.

[Pledge] Snapchat With Xposed

I'm sure a lot of people know that Snapchat has blocked Android users from using their app if they have Xposed installed. I'll pay anyone $30 if they can help me use Snapchat on my XT1060 on Android 5.1(Moto X Verizon), either by removing Xposed or by other means. Thank you!
1. Uninstall xposed.
2. Sign in to your Snapchat account.
3. Reinstall xposed.
Try not to sign out next time . Let me know if it helps.
or if you have some tablet or other phone witouth xposed but rooted ... log in, create a backup with titanium and send the data to your phone later restore the data and voila!
I've tried both of those methods and it still didn't work.

Did you try wiping the data and cache of Snapchat after you uninstalled xposed?
when @Android_noob17 said "uninstall xposed" did you just uninstall the Xposed Installer or did you uninstall the Xposed Framework. Because you need to uninstall the Framework, the Installer app can be left on. then after its off, clear the cache and data of Snapchat, then login, then reinstall the Framework.

Boot to recovery and flash the xposed-uninstaller found here.
Reboot your device and log in on Snapchat, I use version 9.21.1.0.
Make a Titanium backup of your Snapchat.
Reboot to recovery and flash the xposed framework again.
Reboot again and you'll be inside Snapchat again, if you log out and log in again you'll have the same problem.

Can't login to Snapchat? Solved!

Hi everyone!
If you are using a Custom ROM such as CyanogenMod, and are trying to login to Snapchat, you may encounter this error:
"Oh no! Your login temporarily failed, so please try again later. If your login continues to fail, please visit support.snapchat.com/a/failed-login".
The reason why Snapchat won't let you login is because your device has root access, or Xposed Framework installed! Yes! You heard right! Snapchat now blocks devices with root access and Xposed installed!
SOLUTION 1: (CyanogenMod Only)
1. Go into "Settings" and find "Developer Options".
2. Then find "Root Access" and change it to "Disabled".
3. Now attempt to login to Snapchat!
4. Now, if your login was successful, you can now re-enable "Root Access" in "Developer Options".
5. Done!
NOTE: There seems to be a problem with Snapchat force closing on Marshmallow/CM13 Based ROM's, so if this happens to you, I'm sorry I do not know how to fix this, as far as I know, there is no fix for this issue.
SOLUTION 2:
1. Download Xposed Uninstaller.zip from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
2. Boot your phone into recovery and flash the Xposed Uninstaller.zip
3. Reboot your phone
4. Done!
NOTE: Once you login to Snapchat, you can reinstall Xposed Framework and everything will work fine.
If you have any problems, please contact me and I will attempt to help you. Thanks everyone!
I can't find root access in my developer options
Hi Uzayr, Are you using CyanogenMod?
Yeah... It keeps force closing... I'm using a rom based on CM13... Is there any way to fix this. I log in, but it force closes itself after I open the app
This seems to be a known problem with Marshmallow/CM13, So as far as I know there is no fix available.

Try using RootCloak
Hey! I have one problem with Snapchat, but I think I've found something that could help to fix it. As many people have noticed in other posts, Snapchat in CM13 based ROMs has FCs, but last night when I powered off WiFi and network conection Snapchat worked and then, when I powered on WIFI and network again, the FCs reappeared. Could it be this relevant to finding a solution? Can it have something to do with the bug of the camera? It happens every time I power off WIFI and network on my phone. Thanks!
Problem still there

Yeah me too ! I have uninstalled the Xposed Framework and also the Root Access but nothing happens ! Still the same problem !
Make sure Xposed Framework is completely uninstalled, then uninstall Snapchat, make sure that you do not have SuperSU installed, reboot your device and reinstall Snapchat and see if that works, thanks.
Tried everything....
Ok so. I have an SM-G930FD (international GS7 exynos), with a custom ROM installed effectively making my phone a SM-N930F (or whatever the code is for Note 7 is) or in other words, it's a ROM that ports all the features of the Note 7 including the model number.
Ever since I installed this ROM I've been trying all sorts of things to bypass the Snapchat log in detection.
I first tried RootCloak.... It didn't work. So then I went on to research and found that Xposed may be the culprit. So, I uninstalled Xposed framework.... that too didn't work. Then I thought maybe it's the presence of the Xposed app on my phone..... Still "log in temporarily failed" .....
Finally, I uninstalled Root and the Super SU app..... and guess what.... it still doesn't work....
I even tried switching between the Standard Snapchat App and the Beta Snapchat App.... Still, doesn't work. :crying:
Is there any other way to make snapchat log in work without having to install the stock ROM for my phone? If there's nothing else, ill just assume its the ROM that triggers Snapchats log in protection.

Okay my problem is solved thanks to @Lewdog45
he said:
I have a solution, it may be a big process but if you are the only person who use's Snapchat on your device then what you can do is:
1. Uninstall root access on your device
2. Log into Snapchat with your normal account (You should be able to log in once you have removed root access)
3. Once you have logged in on Snapchat, you can Re-root your device, and reinstall Xposed Framework if you wanted
VERY IMPORTANT!
If you log out of Snapchat at anytime while you have root access and Xposed installed, you will have to repeat this process.
And he said about unrooting:
Steps:
1. Open SuperSu
2. Navigate to the "Settings" tab
3. Find the "Cleanup" tab
4. Then click on "Full unroot"
5. Done!
VERY IMPORTANT!
If your device says that it's uninstalling root access for more than 10 minutes, try rebooting your device.
After signing in to snapchat you can re root your phone agian and install xposed without any problem
If this helped please thank him and you can contact him on skype "lewdog45" if the problem still presist.
Hi everyone. I'm trying to run snapchat @CM13. If i disable camera permissions it logs in without problems, but every time i enable the camera Snapchat get force closed. Any idea? This happends with or without root anable

Trouble with Xposed on Galaxy Note 5

I've tried installing Xposed several times now with no luck. I install in TWRP, reboot, and then my phone sits on a black screen with the blue light for forever until it goes to the Sprint LTE logo and then just stops there. I end up having to shut my phone down (which won't happen unless it's plugged in to charge), go back into TWRP, and then use the Xposed uninstaller. Then when I reboot, everything loads back up perfectly. I don't really know what's causing this? I apologize as I'm kind of a noob to rooting & such.
I have a Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920P on Android 6.0.1. Any advice?
(The only reason I really wanted to get Xposed is so I could install a module to bypass the root status for Snapchat...lol)

If you running stock 6.0.1 and not a CM ROM you need the specialized one for Samsung. Check this thread:

Don't forget after flashing it you should wipe caches, and it will take a little while to boot the first time after flashing Xposed

Need help uninstall XPOSED Framework

Soo i logged out of my snapchat account to login to a diffrent one but kept saying login temporally failed.
Soo i googled it and it said to unstall XPOSED Framework but i can't becuase i followed a youtube video on how to install the framework without recovery because i can't get one on my phone which is a Bush spira B2 Please help me thank i also uninstalled the xposed app
You can install/remove xposed framework up to Kitcat without having to do it through recovery. Above Kitcat, from lollipop on you can only install and remove xposed through a custom recovery. If you don't have a custom recovery? How did you get it installed?
If you have it on Kitcat or jellybean you can just uninstall it directly without having to bother with recovery

Also if you are using some kind of Snapchat add on well they are blocking add-ons and third-party apps so most likely you are locked out of your Snapchat account.

Do the same thing you did to install Xposed, but use the uninstall zip found in the Lollipop/Marshmallow Xposed thread. I would assume, based on the fact that uninstalling and installing with recovery is the same, except you flash the uninstall zip when uninstalling.
But if dude above is correct, uninstalling Xposed may not fix your problem.
