Change Boot Animations - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Themes and Apps

Hi, I have a sprint s6 edge plus that is unlocked and rooted, and I am still running stock rom with Xposed and debloat etc. Although none of that matters, I really really hate the ugly and embarrassing sprint boot logo+animation. Can someone direct me in a way to change that? Thanks.

[Q] I think I unlocked my AT&T S5A bootloader...

Hey everyone!
First off, I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong area, as this is my first post here.
About two months ago, I used TowelRoot on my phone and achieved root status. Afterwards, I installed Xposed Framework and started loading modules. When AT&T pushed out an OTA update which updated the kernel, making rooting impossible once again, I did lose my root status. However, Xposed Framework and all of my modules remained installed and still function.
The interesting part is, after a reboot, I noticed that my boot splash screen says "Samsung Galaxy S5 Active", and "Custom" with the unlocked padlock at the bottom. Also, under device status, it says "custom" instead of "official".
I haven't attempted to flash a custom recovery on this phone, but what I'd really like to know is -- is my device's bootloader unlocked now, can I flash a recovery on it, and is there any ROM like a Cyanogenmod base that will be compatible with this phone? I haven't had any luck with researching it because everyone with the AT&T variant of this phone has a locked bootloader, so there hasn't been much opportunity to play with it.
I'd appreciate any help I can get on the matter. I'd like to see what this thing is capable of!
dont mess with itttt leave it until someone replies we need to extract your firmware, hold onto it if you not messing around, im not experinced enough but someone will pm you im sure

Apparently there are many different circumstances under which the splash screen says custom, which have nothing to do with the bootloader being locked or unlocked. I seem to recall it showing up for people when they just switched to ART runtime, and in some cases it didn't even go back when they switched back to Dalvik. Many of the methods for making this not appear just involve cosmetically hiding it, not actually cleaning up whatever it is that is being detected.
What I wouldn't give to have this bootloader unlocked

If there is a dev that wants a s5 to experiment with to get the bootloader unlocked I'll be happy to donate my s5 if I can get it back after finding an exploit . But the dev needs to come with unanimous recommendation by the devs. Let me know I can still use my s3.

Aw man, I was really hoping that the bootloader just somehow magically unlocked itself. Wishful thinking, I suppose. I love my S5 Active, I just wish I had a little more freedom with customizing it in ways like I could my S3.
I wonder if this is a result of Knox being disabled during the root... Either way, I hope I'll still receive OTA updates for things like 4.4.4 if they ever decide to release it, and eventually Android L.
For now, I can't complain -- surprisingly enough, even without root, my Xposed Framework still functions very well and I can still make backend and UI changes in GravityBox.
Regardless, thanks for all the replies, guys! I probably won't mess with trying to fix it unless they come out with an OTA update that I can't get as a result of this.

Sadly. ...We may never see the bootloader unlocked without a factory method...
It's encryption prevents us from even being able to open it into a usable state...
We need either an encryption key....or a new bootloader entirely...
Not happening any time soon....g

[Q] Root AT&T galaxy S5 with lollipop

Hi all I'm confused I got a galaxy S5 on Wed with Lollipop already installed. I've read multiple posts and still have one question, "Can this phone be rooted?" I keep finding different answers. If not can I reload an older version of android that can be rooted, I need root for my anti-theft and Titanium Backup. Not to mention root is needed for removing Bloat(crap)ware that Samsung and AT&T install.
Thanks

As this time, no, the G900A with the completely stock 5.x load can not be rooted.
Since the bootloader is locked, and they bumped one of the counters with the 5.x loader, you can not install a previous version. You're welcome to try but if it fails you will likely have an unrecoverable brick - unless the AT&T Store or Samsung Experience Store has the complete ODIN file to re-flash your device with.
Until someone determines a way of rooting the stock L load, you're stuck without.
Regards.

Im in thesame boat as u. I have been told by a bunch of high ranking devs that it will come its just a matter of time. If u downgrade im almost positive u will end with a very expensive paper weight. Just relax it will come
somebody can check language on 5.0 ? can be enabled multilanguage with language enabler or more locale etc ?

Thank you for the quick reply. I'll wait as I'm sure it's just a matter of time before someone cracks this version or a compatible ROM is published
I only root to get rid of bloatware. While lollipop seems to be handling the ram and battery usage better, it still makes me angry when I see one of those crap apps running that I can't uninstall.
One would think the FCC would make AT&T and others allow this stuff to be uninstalled when the consumer owns the phone.
Kingo root method
just watched a video on WWJOSHDU youtube page, about kingo rooting at&t devices any idea whether that includes the S5 with lollipop?
I found on my wife s5 which I had to unroot and return to stock for warranty when I got the replacement & upgraded to lollipop that in app settings you can disable all the bloat

You can download PackageDisabler.apk and disable all bloatware. It also fixed the "Unauthorized Actions......." recurring prompt after the latest security update by disabling all KNOX related packages.

[Q] New To Rooting / What Are My Options (i537 UCO6)

Hi! I'm glad I found this forum because I've been wanting to remove that annoying ATT bloatware that came with my phone for ages. I've already go through the process of updating my rooted phone to LP 5.0.1 using flashfire as stated in http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-active/general/how-to-update-to-i537oc6-5-0-1-t3089355 but now that I've rooted my phone what can I do to it? I'm really just looking for some suggestions since I've gone through the trouble of doing this. I was looking for ROMs, and correct me if I'm wrong, but they all seem to not want to play nice with the I537 version of the phone, so I'm also looking for something to add a bit more flair for my newly rooted phone. Thanks again for any feedback, it's really appreciated!

i537 custom roms?

I was just given an old i537 5.0.1, to replace a broken S3. I can't stand Samsung's android, so can someone tell me if I can do anything?
I have looked around, and see that the i537's bootloader is locked. Does that mean I can't do any recovery/roms? Am I able to root and purge some of the crap? I have seen something about a program called safestrap, but the main thread of info I can find is "depreciated". Almost everything in this forum is either the I9295 or no exact info.

I hate Samsung's version of android (it's called touchwiz) also so it pains me to give you the answer I'm about to give. The locked bootloader means there is no way this phone can have a custom kernel or a custom recovery. Roms like cyanogenmod require a custom kernel to run, there's no way around that. Safestrap was our alternative for a custom recovery to flash stuff, but it only worked on KitKat. Now we have flashfire to flash things, but the fact remains that the only custom ROMs this phone can run are ROMs based off touchwiz, which you and I (and so many others) despise. It is still possible to root this phone and remove the bloatware, see my post here on how to root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63639949&postcount=2
Once you're rooted you can use titanium backup to uninstall any system app you want
So, I would use Odin to go to down to 4.4 and root. Then upgrade to 5.0.1 again, and install flashfire.
So that is the best we can hope for on the i537? Damn it man, that sucks quite a lot. Stuipd arse Touchwiz. I am so use to Cyanogenmod, and having to use Touchwiz is really killing me. Ugh.

Verizon verson can be rooted?

Fleabay has this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Ga...%3Ac945e76f1600a88ae08182c4ffebd9f9%7Ciid%3A1 says UNLOCKED but no idea what that means for being able to root and custom rom

The phone is Sim unlocked, it has nothing to do with rooting or flashing and I'm not sure if there is a root method for that phone. I hope I helped with the "unlock" part in your question.
No root and probably never will be, you can just buy a T-Mobile note 5
