I can't boot into recovery, i have wiped all data through TWRP, and my phone won't get past the lg logo.
What Happened:
I rooted my LG-G4 H811 and installed TWRP too, yesterday, and i thought of trying out a custom rom.
I chose the CM 13 Rom, i downloaded the files.
i put them in the internal memory of the device, (since my phone has an sd card problem, a hardware one) i could've done that using OTG too but i didn't think of it that time.
I go to TWRP using my pc using adb, Because there's no direct method of doing it, not even with the volume buttons. tried them all.
Here's when i messed up
i went to wipe the phone data instead of flashing the rom and gapps first. I ticked all the boxes, and it did clean everything. including the rom files i was about to flash ( genius)
I went back to the main screen and i rebooted my phone and now it's stuck on the LG logo.
I can get into download mode by pressing the volume up button while plugging in a cable
i CANNOT get to TWRP. idk why.
Please help me :crying:
download kdz file with the firmware that you were running before on your phone get yourself into upgrade firmware mode by pressing volume up and connecting USB cable when your phone is turned off and run lgup application to upgrade the firmware and you should be ok unless you experienced bootloop phenomena on you lg4.

Hi all you clever guys I need your help!
Yesterday I decided to try making myself a new theme for my O2X and now I'm stuck in boot.
I have flashed my phone many times before but now I feel like an idiot.
Please advice me on how to save my phone.
After making the theme using a theme generator I found here on XDA I installed the zip file via Recovery mode and booted my phone. It then looped in the LG startup image.
I wiped the phone and ran back up in Recovery mode then tried rebooting but no luck.
I have also tried to flash with my last used Custom ROM but the phone is now stuck in boot and only shows the screen with the LG logo and process bar.
Please advice me on what I can do to save my phone.
On top of it all I have a problem with my PC so I can not install the LG PC suite SW and can not connect my phone to the PC via USB.
Why on earth did I do this....
Dont worry at all, are you sure you have wiped your data and cache partition? Do this and then flash some ROM (can recommend latest CM7 build).
If its a no go, you can always flash original firmware with nvflash (there's a tutorial for this, just look it up)
Hope I helped
All you need to do is reflash the current rom you are using now without a wipe and that will fix you problem.
If you get bootloop from something you have just flashed just reflash the current rom without a wipe and that will fix ya problem, for next time hey????
Can you get in to recovery??
Hi
Thanks for your inputs and help! Currently downloading NVFlash on my PC and will try it out.
Yes I can enter recovery by pressing vol down key and power button at the same time. (thank Good for that!)
do a full wipe in recovery and flash the rom of your choice, just make sure you have the correct ext 3 or 4 or you will get bootloop
Hi all,
I was browsing the web on dolphin browser and my XT890 simply froze. After 5 minutes, I held the power button + volume down + volume up and the phone rebooted, but it got stuck on the red M static logo. Had to open the phone and disconnect the battery connector from the PCB so I could turn it off. Here are the facts:
1) Stock rom, 4.1.2 JB;
2) Can't get into fastboot menu;
3) With the phone turned off, after connecting the battery charger I can see the battery charging screen.
Because of 3) above, I don't think the phone is dead. Can any of you guys help me?
Thanks in advance.
Update:
Managed to get into fastboot. Did a wipe data / factory reset but after rebooting, it still got stuck on the static red logo.
Will flashing the stock rom again with RSD do the trick?
Thanks in advance
If u have access to the recovery, than a full flash with rsd lite will help (almost always) Do use the latest version of your firmware if JB has been installed on your phone. When JB hasn't been installed on your device, than any firmware can be flashed.

Thanks, mate. Flashing worked.
I just noticed that the SD card does not work anymore, probably that's what caused the crash in the first place. Replaced the SD card and it's working ok for now.
Cheers.
Hi,
I've exactly the same problem. Went to shut down the phone and it hung. Power and vol down to reset and the static red logo. I can get into fast boot and even android recovery but factory reset and full data wipe have no effect.
Could I flash a rom from android recovery? If so which one (phone was updated to JB a year or so ago). Otherwise do I need to use RSD lite when I get to a PC?
Is the internal sd card a standard micro SD card?
Many thanks,
Nick
Just today i flashed CyanogenMod Lollipop 12.1 on the phone. Everything ran smoothly and stuff. I didn't like the boot animation very much so though id flash the default Android L boot animation. Here was my error.
In a hurry i followed the instructions from here not realising this is for the Moto G...!!!
I have philz recovery installed but after flashing the zip i rebooted the phone and it just displays some artifacts during bootup and then the screen goes blank ...!!!! it boots up normal and connecting the phone to the PC shows up the device and sd card. I know the phones working fine coz it unlocks and places calls (randoms touches here and there did that)
Also a major blunder was i FORGOT TO ENABLE USB DEBUGGING...!!!
So now im locked out with no display and no way of enabling USB Debugging.... ANY tips or ideas... I know i have to reinstall recovery.
is there any way of enabling adb without the display...??? PLEASE HELP....!!!!
Why can't you just rsdlite to stock, root, install recovery and start your way from there again.
rsdlite flashing is handled be the bootloader, and if it is actually corrupted then it would be pretty hard to flash back to stock. My suggestion is to see if you can access the boot menu by holding down both volume buttons along with the power button. From there, select AP Fastboot and connect it to your computer.
Post in wrong section, its 1st gen. Please move
So recently I decided to unlock my bootloader and flash CM12 on my Moto G 1st gen
Everything went fine till a friend told me to download and install Xposed. As I launched the app and hit frame work it mentioned creating a backup before installing so I did using TWRP. From there I rebooted the phone and thats where I ran into problems, it started to bootloop. After many hours (3 days to be exact) I still cant get it out of this state.
I thought I fixed it by reflashing, but apparently it just flashed it onto a seperate partition and the new ROM didnt work well (Notification bar didnt pull down right, no home button or multi-task). Since it didnt work I tried to wipe it and reflash but that apparently wouldnt boot, then I lost the ability to access recovery.
ADB doesnt find the device, I think usb debugging got disabled at some point.
I need some help on how to unbrick this, I'm 4 days in and still out of luck. Please!
Nobody?
You can´t access the recovery at all? When i get into a bootloop i need to do a little trick to enter recovery; hold down the power button for several seconds until it reboot, then as soon as the screen turns black hold the power button and volume down for 5 seconds to enter into bootloader. Then enter recovery from the bootloader, do a full wipe and install a stable rom. If you can´t connect the phone to the pc, take the sd card out and put it on another phone so you can connect it to a pc to transfer a stable rom for flashing on your phone.
Sorry this is late, completely forgot I post this. I can now get into recovery although some features dont work as the phone has nothing else on it. Got a USB OTG cable today and going to try mount cm12 that way.
Update : Using TWRP mount I now have files on the device (Data, boot, sys, system) which I didnt have before. Although I'm now getting a E:unable to mount '/system' but TWRP says Successful. Any thoughts?
Update 2 : Flashed it another 2 times, that seemed to fix it. Now no SIM detected.
Hallo, yesterday my phone kinda got laggy so i thought to my self hmm why not flash a new firmware. Aftewards i said to my self, why not go even further and flash lingeageos 16 and thats when it starts going down. The phone would crash or black screen (volume and power key still work and show their UI on the screen) while the rest of the screen was black. I panicked and quickly wiped everything system, internal storage and all that via TWRP recovery. Now i face a even bigger problem. I cant flash anything onto my phone. The Flashtool requires some drives which i installed as the program instructed but with no great result. I put the device in flash mode by holding volume up key and putting the usb cable into the phone and still nothing i can do. I tried various tools to convert the FTF firmware into zip so i can flash it with TWRP that luckily still works. If i try to flash anything i get the error: 7 or bootloop/stock on loading screen. What should i do?
UPDATE: I flashed a stock rom via newflasher, so for anyone in situation like me, where they phone is a very essential part of they everyday life and everyday responsibilties.
