Hi folks, call volume is very low. For me as well as for the person I am calling. In call volume is max. Yet the volume is very poor.
Does anyone know of a good app or fix that can help with increasing it by just a bit?
Thanks!

So compared to my old nokia dumbphones, i have found the in call volume on the Nexus to be too low. I have the volume set to max, and im using a sipdroid/gv/gizmo setup to make calls. The phone is unusuable to my ears in a loud environment. Any help to make the volume louder would be appreciated.
Since you're using SIPDroid, how would altering a call volume help you?
You could look for "audiomod" (rising Nexus call volume), several ROMs contain it, but I think it won't help you.
When i'm receiving a call and press the volume buttons, the ringtone stops (mutes). isn't it supposed to lower the volume ?
using alfs 06 and gingerdx21
AFAIK it's a feature.
can any1 try and confirm if it's a feature or a issue?
It's not a bug it's a great feature! I hate my brothers samsung because if he got an incoming call, and he isn't at his phone, the ringtone irritates me, and I have to push the volume button so many times to silence the phone, and its irritating.
So for SE I think it is a really great feature, one of the most useful thing

Hi I have my call volume set to the minimum, but the call volume is way too loud. The "speaker" is not active, but it is so loud that I have to operate the phone a distance from my ear, and in quiet environments people can easily hear my full conversation.
Does anyone know how I can get that minimum volume to be a little lower.
Using stock ICS, no root, everything standard...

Are u sure you're adjusting the call volume (lower volume while on call) and not the system or media volume (adjusted when on home screen or viewing media). Afaik, the lowest call volume setting cannot be heard and is in effect muted.

I've always wanted the call volume to be higher on my note - how come you find it loud? have you used a software to increase volume previously?
in any 4.4 rom(except vanir) internal speaker volume is lower than stock in call, anyone knows how to increase this call volume, because sometimes i can't hear the other person in noisy environment..

Already disabled, but still problematic high volume
Install the app: Disable increasing ringtone from android market.
You must also go to battery settings and allow the app the app to be on when the screen is off.
The fault is that the phone increases the ring volume very fast. Annoying but this app fixed it.
easy

I have the same issue and found out that Huawei messed up loudness settings for ring tone. If I set it to highest value it rings quiet and it's loud if I set it to low volume.
Try it out to see if you have the same result.

Rebooting the phone solved the issue. Now everything is ok.
