Hey all - can't figure out this weird issue I've been having. In Pro mode, with RAW mode enabled, my phone doesn't save the RAW files anywhere. I searched for them in the file browser and Adobe Lightroom cannot locate any DNG files. I'm running the latest firmware with Nova Prime and package disabler. I already tried restoring my factory defaults in package disabler and that didn't do anything. Any ideas?

Hi, I got VIE-AL10 for a while now. It's a great phone. However, recently I have some slow network connection. I decided to do a factory reset after the OTA update pushed to EMU 8.0. I chose not to delete files but I didn't realize that factory reset also removed the original Notepad app. All my notes within the Notepad app is now inaccessible. I am hoping that reinstalling the original Notepad app, it should be able to locate my text notes just like the Sound Recording App did with the audio files.
If anyone have a copy of the Notepad.apk before the latest EMU 8.0 update, can you please send me a copy? Thank you in advance.
Hi,
I recently got K20 pro and it's running stock MIUI Indian rom (10.3.3).
I've followed steps from the following link to disable Ads wherever possible:
https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-miui-ads-hamper-user-experience/
However Music (stock Mi) app is still giving ads in the notification bar. How do I uninstall or just disable this App (without root/unlocking)? Many Mi Apps could be disabled but not this one.
Even Disable button is grayed out in MIUI Hidden Settings App.
Thanks.
Have you tried Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools?

Weird but it worked. I actually tried that before (well no need to swear but I swear I tried) and "Disabler" Tab was grayed out and it failed to uninstall from the Uninstaller tab. After you said, gave it another try. This time Software came up with Disabler tab enabled and Disable worked.
Thanks.
EDIT: I tried to disable another app "Mi Video" and it failed (in the same instance of XiaomiADBFastbootTools) . Closed the software and restarted it. This time the Disable worked for this 2nd app.
So I decided to test out the 84hz mod.
When I select the dtbo.img to flash it, the app force closes.
I tried using other file managers, doesn't work too.
I tried in stock MIUI and Pixel experience but it still force closes.
I searched for an older version apk, but I couldn't find any and the sources (Github) are all written in Chinese.
SOLVED: Remove the stock file manager of Pixel Experience ROM using Bloatware Uninstaller, and open the img file using Mi File Explorer.

Hello,
Is there a way to root galaxy note 9 north american model with latest updates installed without resetting the phone and without oem unlocking?
I am trying to recover accidently deleted photos from camera folder which I didnt sync anywhere, they are not in trash folder. I tried many data recovery apps but I couldnt recover deleted photos from camera folder.
Now I am trying to root the phone so I can give root access data recovery apps for deeper recovery.
Any help would be really appreciated. I hope I can recover those photoes.
the way of digital storage works, yes it's true, files are never really deleted, it's only marked for deleted.
but when it's marked as deleted, that space could easily be replaced with other files.
i think, if you use your phone more than hours after that specific photo gets deleted, your activities using smartphone (chats, browsing, video call) is downloading / creating caches and files into your phone, and it could replacing your deleted file in that specific space.
even rooting your phone is considered as some activities that could replacing that deleted file with other things.
Problem description:
All photos deleted from internal memory, using Windows connection.
No root
No unlocked bootloader
DiskDigger Full Scan doesn't work (no root), Basic Scan found nothing.
Redmi 8 (M1908C3IG)
MIUI Global 12.5.3
Android 10 QKQ1.191014.001
any ideas for a solution?
thx
Hey, when you used DiskDigger, did you choose the "Start Basic Photo Scan" mode? If you can't recover them back via DiskDigger, check if there is a backup of the deleted photos on Google Photos, or can you find the deleted photos via Photo Trash Bin. If no, you need to ask for help from a pro shop or software like Dr.fone, Coolmuster Lab.Fone for Android, Easeus MobileSaver, etc. Such software need you to root your phone before using it. And you also need to make sure the deleted photos are not being overwritten by new data. Good luck to you.
