Hey, when you used DiskDigger, did you choose the "Start Basic Photo Scan" mode? If you can't recover them back via DiskDigger, check if there is a backup of the deleted photos on Google Photos, or can you find the deleted photos via Photo Trash Bin. If no, you need to ask for help from a pro shop or software like Dr.fone, Coolmuster Lab.Fone for Android, Easeus MobileSaver, etc. Such software need you to root your phone before using it. And you also need to make sure the deleted photos are not being overwritten by new data. Good luck to you.

Hello everyone,
Just updated my actual version to the latest weekly xiaomi eu rom and I lost all my notes (only).
I tried to sync and did not obtain them.
Is there any way to recover them? Tried with some software without success...
Thanks in advance,
Regards.
Anyone in the same situation?
You didn't make a backup of your data partition by any chance?
Or synced them anywhere in the cloud?
Or used Titanium Backup or alike?
What do you mean with losing notes only?
Is data from (all) other apps still there?
Maybe a detailed flashing procedure explanation would also help.
Although I think if you did neither of the backup solutions above, it looks a little hopeless...

Hello mate, thanks for reply.
I synced all with MIcloud, then upgrade xiaomi.eu version to latest (as always as did to keep all data).
Keep all data of all apps, contacts, images and so on.
Only notes app, it's empty, I started to sync and (seems a bug) all my data has been deleted.
I want to know if is possible to recover the notes...I did not use any backup solution because I always kept my data when upgrade in this way.
Anyone can assist on this? Thanks in advance guys.
Hey, I also thought for once that since I haven't synced my account so my notes might not have saved anywhere.
But I was wrong....
Rather than looking on my trash from the notes app...
I rather go on the chrome browser, log into my Mi account & BOOM !!!
All my notes were there.. Thnx me later
I have always synced my Notes with Mi Cloud and always lost my notes while I factory reset or updated etc because the mi account doesn't retrieve and recover your data back. I logged in to my mi account on browser and it shows empty apps, nothing there, no sync files.
actually there is nothing like Cloud Backup without paid subscription although in my own sense I was always backing up my data to later recover. They want money to backup your data.
HELP]
I lost all my notes, sync with micloud does not retrieve any.
The notes are shown on web version but not synced on the app.It thorws an error(check screenshot)
Device :RN9S rooted Curtana.

Hi guys.
I d like to unlock my Mi8 and install TWRP and try the unofficial Lineage OS16.
But before I do unlock my Mi8 I d like to backup an Image of my System including all data. Like a partition image of a Windows Partition. Is it possible with an locked and not rooted device?
Or will I have to do a soft backup and save all pics and files on my PC and use some inapp-backup features and save them on cloud like google drive?
TWRP can do such an imagebackup but to install it I have to unlock my device and it says that all data will be erased after unlock.
Is there a Windows10 APP or other way to backup the whole system in present condition?
No it's not possible.
Go to your settings > additional settings > backup and reset > local backup.
You can back up your system settings and most of your apps including data, but not WhatsApp, mobile banking apps etc.
The backup will be stored in the MIUI folder and you can copy it to your pc easily.
Im addition I recommend Google Photos to back up your pictures and videos.
If you want to back up other files (e.g. music, documents,...) you can simply copy them to your computer.
Please help!
Ive just got back off holidays with our newborn son, and seem to have deleted my pictures on my P20 Pro via my laptop.
I just dont know what else to do!
I cant find them anywhere, and have tried using dr.fone to recover them, however it is asking me to root my phone.
I have never done this, and am worried that i could loose the pictures.
Im fearing that the longer i leave it, the higher the chance on me not getting them back.
Can anyone help me/walk me through this process?
Use to be certain recovery but since we lost mount storage via USB, not so much. Download easeus data recovery app off playstore. Can still have relative success with it

Thanks for your advise. However I have tried this and it only recovers pictures I have. It says that it hasn't got root access. How do I get root access? I'm using a huawei P20 Pro.
Root requires unlocked bootloader, if yours isn't unlocked then you're out of look at the moment as all paid services are down again.
Problem is unlocking bootloader does a full wipe anyway. Google screwed us by removing mass storage mode. I've not found a fully working alternative yet unfortunately.
Doesn't the app offer to do a deep scan after? It will show u current pics but should show deleted as well.. It simply displays all valid jpg png files etc it can retrieve from the file structure if it finds their file contents still intact. Deleting a file doesn't actually delete its data, just removes it from the file allocation table so the device can then use that space again if it wants to

I know it sounds stupid, but do you, by any chance, use the Google "Photos" app? If you enabled backup for local photos there, those pictures should still be in the "Photos" in your Google account...

I do, however, as I was abroad it couldn't backup ?
I was copying files into my pc, and i pressed delete for the selection but it deleted the whol folder (camera) is there a way i can recover the data? Any specific guaranteed software? And my phone is not rooted
Help please !
So you deleted the camera folder from your phone with your PC accidently? If so that's probably gone for good. You could check the trash in the gallery app but I doubt it will be there. Maybe the recycle bin in your PC too.
Did you not have anything backing up your pictures in the background like Google photos, Dropbox, One drive...?
Hello,
Is there a way to root galaxy note 9 north american model with latest updates installed without resetting the phone and without oem unlocking?
I am trying to recover accidently deleted photos from camera folder which I didnt sync anywhere, they are not in trash folder. I tried many data recovery apps but I couldnt recover deleted photos from camera folder.
Now I am trying to root the phone so I can give root access data recovery apps for deeper recovery.
Any help would be really appreciated. I hope I can recover those photoes.
the way of digital storage works, yes it's true, files are never really deleted, it's only marked for deleted.
but when it's marked as deleted, that space could easily be replaced with other files.
i think, if you use your phone more than hours after that specific photo gets deleted, your activities using smartphone (chats, browsing, video call) is downloading / creating caches and files into your phone, and it could replacing your deleted file in that specific space.
even rooting your phone is considered as some activities that could replacing that deleted file with other things.
