Hello all!
Does any one know how to show anything other than the built in layouts for the AoD? I remember reading somewhere that we would be able to customize it by adding notes, pictures, etc on it.
Thanks!

I'm new to Nexus One and I've come from Symbian. I was searching for an app that hides messages, contacts, media files, notes and memos. I've used SecureDroid but it Force Closes on SMS tab. Please recommend me a freeware that is able to perform these operations.
Also recommend me some good apps that takes care of privacy
Thanks...
theres a pretty cool lock feature that comes built in with android just use that. If someone doesnt know your password then they wont be able to see all the messages and things you have on the phone. If they do have your pw then you obviously dont care if they see anything in there...unless you are cheating on your wife or something

You totally serve my purpose. I didn't know about the inbuilt lock feature that locks messages, media files, memos etc (unless you're talking about the pattern lock)... please shed more light if u mean something else....
Still waiting for other replies...
Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can give me an answer on why there are two programs that pretty much do the same thing, yet have differences that don't make real sense to me.
- The handwriting to text function, one is found using the menu, the other isn't.
- Syncing with Evernote...
1)S-Note asks for email and password when you choose to sync, S-Memo asks for User name and password.
2)S-Memo syncs and you can see the text etc that is editable. However, when you edit this in evernote. This sync is only one way.
3)When you sync with S-Note, it uploads as a .snb file attachment.
I guess I don't really understand why they didn't merge these two apps together?
My goal is that I take handwritten notes, this sync's to Evernote, where I can tidy this up and have as a document. Does anyone else currently do this? Maybe with another app available? (If the Evernote app did this it would be perfect!)
I've read other threads regarding these two apps but nothing has been mentioned about how they are the same, yet different.
well the s-memo is basically useful when you want to write something light and want to do it fast, the s-note app allows you to practically create a book, i mean, you can make a single note with a lot of pages, also, there are the productivity tools, the templates, the handwrite recording and some other things that allows you to personalize your note and helps you to make it the way you want it to be, there could be different reasons you are making a note for, as for your job, for homework, or so... also you can convert your note(s-note) into a pdf or add to it images, you can even attach an s-memo to the note!
SMemo allows you to "press the stylus button, double tap screen" and GET a hovering memo pad over ANY Screen ... I think this is the most useful feature and reason why I still uses SMemo
Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
I agree the S-memo double tap function is great and really useful, although I still think that merging the two apps together and making this a function of S-Note would make sense.
@jpsb - Great explanation... it kind of increases my frustration with the sync'ing with Evernote, as I would think that the larger documents and meeting notes etc would be what you would rather sync, rather than S-memo small scibbles on-the-fly.
There's another thread been created at the same time along the same topic:

Hello,
I changed from a lifetime of Samsungs to a Huawei P20 Pro 2 days ago. I am struggling to find things in the settings as I was so accustomed to the Samsung enviroment, but I will not give up!
Do any of you happen to know if there is any way of converting an image to text, directly through any inbuilt function? There was a function on my S8 where I selected an area of an image and I could convert it to text, I wanted something similar.
And even though I have auto-brightness off, my screen seems to flicker in luminosity when I change between apps, it starts brighter, and after a few seconds it dims ever so slightly, not sure if depends on their white/not white background, is this normal or related to any feature I am not aware of?
Thank you so much!
Try opening the photo in Google photos and use Google lens feature to copy the text from the photo. I've used it several times ?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a way to have tasks/reminders that I can access via my laptop or PC also show up on the phones edge and lock screen. Calendar entries work fine, tasks/reminders don't.
I really don't care if it's samsung tasks, google tasks, outlook, or a different company all together. I just want to be able to see them, enter them, and edit them on my laptop and see them on my phone.
I'd love it if I could use google tasks for this, but I'm open to anything at this point. It seems so fundamental, and yet I can't figure this one out.
Thanks
Hello everyone. I'm starting to develop watch faces in watch face studio, and I've been having trouble finding some good resources with certain customizations. For example I've been trying to add weather to my current face design and I have gotten it working, but it always displays the city name and displays it in a way that I can't seem to customize. I found a watch face that has a lot of the function and design that I like that has a weather complication that displays in the way that I would like to use this feature, but I can't figure out how they did it. The watch face I'm referring to is free if anyone would like to check it out. In the play store it's easily found under the name "MDS367". If anyone can tell me how they got their complications to appear with custom font and appearance I would be very appreciative. Thank you
